  1. I hope there will be lots of cool footage from this cruise. Looks like there will be an even bigger turnout than the Charlestown carpark meet in July
  2. Re: coilover bolt. Metal shrinks when cold, might make it a bit easier to budge the thing.
  3. I can confirm, It is very loud in person once the wastegate opens haha.
  4. That is seriously an awesome colour... That's one immaculate R32....nice to see.
  5. Yeah, I got an S15 because I couldn't find another S13 in good condition....finding an S13 that hasn't been bent from an accident is like finding a needle in a haystack. S13 is definately a more fun, enjoyable car though, providing the condition is good (like my old one). Looks cooler + has more character than a S15 i.m.o In all honesty, should of looked to import one from Japan, but couldnt be bothered going through the hassle. Thanks =). Just running the stock Helical LSD at the moment. Might go for a Nismo GT 1.5 way later on down the track, but not necessary yet.
  6. Yeah. Lucky they got away from it with no injuries, although, flipping a car will mentally affect whoever was involved for a good while
  7. What was the condition of the car like?
  8. Wedge.... take a look at this link... re: white smoke http://www.gtr.co.uk...hite-smoke.html http://www.skylinesa...-car-potential/ they suggest it can also be caused by turbo or cracked piston or cracked cylinder =S
  9. Why is white smoke always associated with blown turbos then?
  10. The white smoke is generally associated with turbos shitting themselves from what ive read /a blown turbo seal leaks oil straight into exhaust http://www.gtr.co.uk...smoke-help.html Inspected an S15 with a blown turbo and a f**k off massive cloud of white smoke came out of the exhaust when the guy accelerated and drove off.
  11. White smoke = burnt oil. maybe the turbo has shit itself
  12. Yeah didn't really think of that....probably not a good idea having that sticker on there (e.g. if a HWP has a look inside the car). Also, assuming the hi flow cat will be fully flanged up, itd be as simple as just putting bolts in wouldn't it? Or do you have to use sealant as well? Yeah just been researching brake rotors etc and still weighing up the pros and cons. How are the endless pads and rotors for the price?
  13. This arrived in the mail not long ago....=D Also, 22 days until I can get my full licence. Update on the car: Car has been sitting since the trackday at Wakefield on July 26th, so safe to say all the fuel would be stale by now. Checked tyre pressures and they're down to 20psi. Brakes still haven't been organised and are metal on metal, so need to get that organised. Going to DIY the coilovers/alignment arms with a member from JDMST!! This will probably happen sometime in November once I'm finished uni for the year. Got a CES Front/Dump Pipe lined up and need to get a Hi-Flow Cat Thought this sticker was lulzy, so I played up the stereotype of S15's being used as drift cars.and I installed it. Tomei N2 Oil Pan I like how Tomei has included some English instructions (for people like myself who can't read Japanese)....and two stickers
  14. I will always be a sucker for Work meisters haha. Wouldnt mind a set for the S15, jks cant afford them.
  15. T4NK, 3pc Work Meisters Work Meiser S1 2 piece TV2 - straight from Work colour matched Bayside Blue wheels
  16. You going to go an RB30 bottom end?
  17. One sec, I'll find them and get the specs etc.
  18. I have some CB Radios ( 2 of them) if you guys wants a lend for the cruise. Just would be a matter of me finding where they are.
  19. What coilovers did you go with Ant? Are they coming from Japan?
  20. A 1990 Toyota Corolla is a Showa era Japanese Nostaglia vehicle!
  21. Pencil in the E90 Toyota Corolla with 1.4L Carby Motor + 5 spd...
  22. Prepare to spend double that to get an S13 or R32 into smooth running condition. I bought my S13 for 6.5k. I only replaced the parts necessary and that figure ended up doubling. Given that, my S13 was immaculate, if you buy one in bad condition be prepared to spend a lot more to get it up to stratch. I've searched gumtee and carsales for the past few months, and no S13 silvia on there is worth buying given their condition. Your best bet would be a late model R33....then sell that when you get your full licence.
  23. Any chance of making it October 28th, the day after I get my full licence. =\
