  1. Yeah, it wouldn't be anything major to worry about, only a minor issue. Plenty of cars come over from Japan with a lot more than just one misaligned panel.. A panel shop would be able to align it properly....if you decide to go through with it I can recommend you a panel shop that I can vouch for and know does great quality work (and won't rip you off).
  2. Yeah, the panel gaps for R34's are usually spot on and to within a pooftenth of a millimetre. Unequal panel gaps usually does indicate there is some underlying accident damage. Check the bolts of the panel and if they have been repainted then it means the panel has been taken off before.
  3. Must of been lulzy when people looked at the convoy of Skylines and then noticed the big fat commotank among the pack trying to blend into the scene.
  4. Sometimes getting in and having a go = broken shift knob. S15 has been off the road for 60 days... and nothing has been done and all I want is some BPU's installed
  5. Is a 100 cell cat against the law?
  6. Good thinking Terry
  7. Lol it's my mums car. I'm not purposely going to blow it up...haha. Its got 303,000kms on the Odometer.
  8. I could have brough out the E90 Corolla for some spirited driving... 1.4L Motor with Carby + FF Layout = Win.
  9. That confirms my story below.... Pretty sure the guy from wollongong at the SAU track day had gold BBS rims with red center caps.
  10. I lol'ed and nodded my head in agreeance. Anyway, I remember when I went to Wakefield for an SAU track day with HamiltonAu in December 2011 there was a guy from Wollongong who took me for a passenger session in a midnight purple R33 that was in immaculate condition. Young guy in his 20's. Though he didn't seem like the type who would end up with his car over a concrete barrier as he didn't really push the car on the track.
  11. Chassis Rails + Floor Pan etc etc = Obliterated.
  12. Another package arrived from Japan a few days ago Top Secret Shift Knob and... HKS Catback System. Once again, the quality of all the HKS stuff I have received so far has been exceptional. Have been very impressed with the workmanship.
  13. There is a red Nismo 400R that competes in Targa Tasmania....but that was involved in a pretty big accident a couple of years ago (rear end was pretty heavily damaged) when it hit a patch of oil. It's been fixed now though I think
  14. I can help come inspect the car if need be.... I have a lot of knowledge with regard to inspecting cars for accident damage etc... Also, anyone heard of the Nismo 400r....they are a collectible classic so command a massive premium in Japan
  15. Ruxis, GTR's are very expensive to maintain (also due to the fact they are AWD)...that is their only downfall I was contemplating the 600ps Gunmetal Gray R32 GTR for 29k that Iron Chef had in stock at one point, which was immaculate and Grade 4 condition. Until my mechanic talked me out of it and said I wouldn't be able to afford to run it/maintain it. The thing would have had over 100 grand spent on it. HKS 2.8L stroker, T51r etc. I asked my parents to lend me 14k as I only had 15k at the time, but naturally they refused to lend me money. Which is why I ended up with a Rwd S15, as cheaper to maintain. But its so slow...sadface =(. And I've already blown all my money on it....and the thing is incapacitated atm.
  16. I steralise my hands after using communal keyboards now haha. I lol'ed at that video of Pat with pinkeye hahaha! Always funnier when it happens to someone else.
  17. LOL, I'm a lot more confident in my driving ability, than my ability to install a $70 shift knob =D
  18. Dude, I actually read what Matt said as Newcastle Skylines sticker as well =S. Summoning GTR-34A, are you going to the trackday?
  19. Lol no idea what trail braking is, but if that means brake before turn-in while car is pointing straight, then yes!.
  20. Matt, few tips. - Brake (when you're going in a straight line) just before the corner. This shifts weight to the front end and allows a sharper turn in. Can unsettle the car if you brake while turning. - When you're going into the corner, look at the apex and look where you want to exit. You ideally want to take the corner in a straight line after you've turned in. -Don't be afraid of coming out wide on the corner, this can help to minimise tyre squeel and allow you to start accelerating earlier, the secret is to use all the space the track gives you. - Once you've hit the apex of the corner you can accelerate. 360rwkw in a RWD car will be a handful on the track so just go into it slow until you become comfortable with the track and the lines required.
  21. Here is the first package I received from Japan and the quality of the items is phenomenal. Especially impressed with the HKS Hipermax III Coilovers, definately worth the money. Unfortunately, I believe they have been discontinued now. Front set. Rear set. HKS Tool Kit (came with the coilovers). I like how they threw in some zipties haha. Rear upper camber arms are the pillow type. For the Rear Toe Adjustor Rods and Tension Rods, I elected to go with the rubber bush type as this car will be predominately street-driven. The rubber bush ends will be quieter and won't wear out as fast, and they have slight play in them due to the flex of the rubber (which is actually ideal for the street). Rear Toe Adjustor Rods Tension Rods (aka Front Castor Rods). Rear Upper Camber Arms
  22. No need, I am the king of removing boot carpet (and plywood etc) haha.
  23. Yeah, and I even managed to stuff that up lol. You think Top Secret would have included a lock nut so I knew I needed one.
  24. LOL... Dude.. think about it, your car enthusiast rating would instantly raise up a level to Otaku. but in all seriousness, don't know if I'll even be able to go, not sure if my car will be ready. The mechanic is really busy atm and not sure when he will have time to work on my car. =\.
  25. Who wants to travel down to Wakefield in a convoy on Friday morning for the track day (SAU Nats)?
