  1. Yeah, I still haven't received membership either even though I've paid.
  2. Would this be as beneficial as an advanced driver training day?
  3. Will be coming to this meet, will be in the E90 Corolla though because of the turbo rules that prevent me from driving my s15 on P's
  4. Just became a member of SAUNSW!!! Just paid the funds electronically!! When should I hear back my confirmation as a member?
  5. Don't even bother with alarms or immobolisers, they are very easy to bypass.. The best thing you can do is get kill switches and hide them in strategic locations in your car, that will ensure your car wont get stolen with thieves on foot and your only vulnerability will be getting your car towed on a truck. If you park your car on the street, buy 2 very cheap cars to box your import in which means the tow truck will have to tow one of the other cars first before it can get to yours OR buy a heavy duty wheel lock.....and combine that with kill switches....and the box in strategy. But yeah, having kill switches are the most stealthy.
  6. I remember the time I caught an import dealer out, it was basically a car from yahoo auctions with this digusting widebody front guards on it and black bonnet. It was an autech S15 and had over 130,000kms on it in Japan, I then saw it at a dealership in Sydney with 40-50,000kms on it. I have spent a lot of time backtracing import dealers and where they get their cars, and lets just say a lot of the jazz that comes into the country is graded R in Japan. I find it heartbreaking that absolute shit can come into the country, which is why im hesitant to buy a local import due to how much I know about the shit that floats in. As for that S15, Eddie Macguire says Brett Lee's bowling is good. As for that bayside blue r34 gtr LOL, dont even go near it.......its been tampered with quite extensively.
  7. I'm assuming that one has had the chassis rails repaired etc?
  8. Lol oh lawd. How the phuck does shit like that get into our country.... (ive seen this happen before when I backtraced an incident with a dealership in sydney). and gunma....wouldnt be suprised if it had nuclear radiation readings as well.
  9. Just sent away my membership form for SAU!!! ....should be sending payment for club membership soon.
  10. I am going to fax in my form to become an SAU member today!! What type of fire extinguisher do I need? Dry chemical?
  11. Actually, just realised the car is located in the gunma prefecture...itd be radiation affected.
  12. Can someone please translate this auctions sheet for me? http://www.importmon...au/car?id=15303 Does it say anything about why the rear quarters were repainted
  13. The only thing that is holding me back from this event is the need to have a fire extinguisher. Installation + Cost of the fire extinguisher would probably end up being $100.00 (allowing 30 for the item, and 70 for installation).
  14. Still can't "legally" drive my S15 as I'll be on green P plates till october... But I could always rock up in the little E90 Corolla.
  15. Dealerships own the compliance workshops, which is why so many vehicles sneak through.
  16. Can we get the cams licence on the day?????
  17. Don't know where this fits in, but here is my Jun S15 200sx S15. It has a rare JUN sticker
  18. LOL Wont mention names but I think I know who would of got hit.... Anyway, Eddie Macguire is cool and Brett Lee's bowling is incredible. Meh, Id never buy from a dealer anyway, most of them are out to make a profit and they can make a higher profit importing repaired vechiles than they can 4.5 vechiles which comand a premium in japan
  19. how do i get a cams l2s licence? can i get that on the day?
  20. Ok good to hear....on the street does it feel nice, stable and firm? Let me know how it feels when you take it to the track...
  21. The HKS HiperMax III has 6kg F, 4kg R spring rates. The HKS Hipermax III Sport has 8kg F, 6kg R spring rates. the chart provides all the info. andthanks for your help.
  22. Slightly off topic but there is a kid with a 450rwkw R33 GTST with rb26 single turbo driving it around on P-plates in Newcastle. I have an S15 Spec S (which I cant drive yet cause of turbo) but would be cool to organise an SAU Newcastle meetup for a cruise.
  23. What are your opinions? I will mainly be using my S15 for the street, but will take it to the occaisonal track day. Want the suspension to be good handling but not to harsh to the point its uncomfortable and I get bump steer etc. I had a set of HSD HR on the s13 with 6kg/4kg and they felt pretty good. I am still unsure of the exact specifications of silkroads (e.g piston size, free length etc) but unsure if theyre more suited to a track application Here are the specs of HKS http://www.hkseurope.com/suspension/apps/nissan.htm http://www.hkseurope.com/suspension/hipermax3.asp Let me know what you think please thanks.
