  1. It looks like that garage yoshida car has 'orange' around the strut tower seam welds, wouldnt be suprised if this is rust. Mate, look at pro stock racing JP, they seem to stock some really awesome GTRs and they are the same company who built my GTR from the ground up
  2. Mate youre not alone. I think the reality is , that it is normal to go through highs and lows. And you're right, no one wants to talk about it mate, it's an ego thing. Everyone is obsessed with making out their life is perfect, so we think our own isn't. Well it's natural to be imperfect. It's natural to make mistakes. I think simply enjoying the present and not thinking to far into the future or what others have is key, we are all awesome in our own way.
  3. Meh, not uncommon. Buying a GTR was a major mistake and has put me in somewhat of a downward spiral, although i f**king love the car and its epic, but that doesnt really help a dire financial situation but there is light at the end of the tunnel i think the smarter you are the more prone you are to such things. we become more cognizant of things & life itself as we grow older and it can become overwhelming
  4. shock tower repair is an engine out job and it looks like only 50% has been done
  5. Correct the power run was on E85 but it’s tuned for flex. But I highly doubt I’d ever taint my fuel tank with 98, damn that stuff is so shit compared to sugar cane lol
  6. Just really hoping I don’t run in to issues down the track given the complexity of the fab and plumbing required to make it work.
  7. Yes 6boost. Not to mention the EGT on the first runner was installed at the wrong angle hitting the cylinder head, and that took them 3 months to fix rather than sending me a new manifold. The 6boost manifold I had for the 3071R...I just got a message from the bloke I sold it too that the wastegate flange cracked off completely. So I think a Hypertune item is a better path.
  8. Dan if you haven’t bought your manifold already I think a hypertune manifold will give you more room for plumbing...
  9. Since the EFR plan came to fruition, over 140 man hours & counting.......
  10. Progress on the S15 continues, just received these photos. Remainder of work requires mounting the catch can and then it'll be 100% ready for fuel system, wiring & ECU. The oil drain was next to impossible to fit and had to be machined on an angle with special fittings. The 6boost manifold sits it in a spot with NO ROOM. If I had my time again, I'd pay the extra and run a Hypertune manifold seriously. Dual map sensor provisions welded on. Intake pipe fab complete & the air filter/catch can will be fully enclosed. A lot of work went into the power steering reservoir & -10AN catch can. The underside was rolled in two planes to the shape of the strut tower, & it also features a pretty complex internal baffle arrangement, a provision has been made to run push lock hose for when I need to drain the can. 4 port mac valve is all hooked up with teflon line goodness. So in the meantime I'll refit the interior, front bumper & bonnet, & fit superclamps to the intercooler piping. The next few months will be slog to restore my bank balance so I can spend on a TRP fuel system & Insight ECU package. After that, the likelihood of me spending money on cars, unless something is broken, is close to zero.
  11. Well they put the fruit in the head. But I wish the bottom end was more fruity... I'm suprised the owner didn't pay the little bit extra to run a set of forged rods...... Scott did laugh at the tune. The japs just love to throw a lot of fuel into it and be done with it.
  12. Ben, yes Nismo R1 turbos on the car. Everyone says they're akin to -7's but that makes no sense, I'm making 30kw more than what people estimated.
  13. you need a flex fuel setup and dont bother with old crappy jap injectors bosch 1600cc stainless ftw
  14. Chasing up a dyno sheet so we can do a little more analysis. reality is I need stronger wastegates, but the car is just a response monster and it pulls like a freight train, I really don’t need the extra power just yet...especially when a C63 AMG couldn’t hold a candle to this don mega build....
  15. In 2nd or 3rd, this beast is making 1.41 bar by 3900rpm, and by 5400rpm its all in at 1.58 bar This is possibly the most responsive low mount 'garrett' twins build on SAU.
  16. The car is a far more capable machine than my driving ability, so I really do need to ease into it slowly
  17. It smells of E85 because I drive with the windows down everywhere to enjoy the scent
  18. As expected, the car flat out hauls...aside from the diff it’s piling on speed like the Mines R34. The whole cabin smells of E85...it’s great. Had a don mega sideways moment which put in perspective how much power this wild boar really has...was all crossed up and somehow managed to slingshot out of it. No doubt it’ll hold its own at the GT-R festival... I think ill wax it up real good & enter the show n shine. Not too keen on the motorsport aspect as I already know it’ll blitz a lot of cars with me behind the wheel but don’t want to risk the panel gaps....that 1% chance is enough for me
  19. Nice information Dan, makes sense.... im really interested to see how “responsive” the car feels compared to Paul’s EFR setup
  20. Dan I thought 20-17psi would be quite comfortable for the twins ? Piggaz if I had the money I would, at least I’m one carton of corona richer now...lol anyway dan will keep in mind, and I’m not planning to track the car btw...no way do I want to risk binning it. Will take it easy and learn the car...
