  4. do you know anything about putting gtr crank and rods into RB25? If so, PM me and we can talk about it. And depending on out come you may have interested buyer *points at self* Cheers
  5. Hmm Why is that? seems a little pointless as that is the main reason i wanted to get one
  6. any pics? semi interested though location sort of rules me out...
  7. Hey guys.. Thinking about getting something like these http://www.cusco.co.jp/english/e_media3/e_upmt_aj.gif Just wandering if that sort of thing can be mounted using any shock? or do you need specific cusco shocks in order to use the cusco upper mount? I have Bilsteins all round. Would they work? Cheers :0
  8. Hey Selling my plates. Have had them re-printed. white on black. GTST.32 $1500 Cheers
  9. but if you look at the cost. it may be cheaper to be happy with the power your rb25 is making than to try and make that power with the rb20... and then, if for some reason you want a heap more power... its always there as a much greater potential in the rb25 than the 20... i can see both views though.. comes down to what you like its not like the RB20 is pathetic... Better than have a ca18 *cough*
  10. thats exactly how i thought... though since i have put them on my car. i have seen in japanese mags, and even other cars on teh street. and they are ALL the other way? like a few pretty nice D1 cars or circuit cars etc built by teams that would probably know whats going on and they have them the other way. Strange.
  11. Cant say that i have really looked at it that way... But i think i can sort or see where you are coming from after driving my car with the Rb25 for about a month.. It is a little hard to drive around off boost as you are saying... No matter where you are or what sort of speed your doing, in any gear for that matter, it really does want to go more I figure you could probably do the same sort of thing though.. As in throw a bigger turbo on. where you would lose a little response.. then cruise around the streets under the revs at which your car is an animal I think maybe a lower diff ratio could help me aswell.. as i find when driving around that my revs are about 1k higher than i would like them to be... as in cruising along at 100 on free way or 80 on the highway my revs sit at around 3000.. which is annoying but the low down power of the 25 is deffinately nice... someone explained it in another thread pretty well. just saying how with the Rb25 you can enter a roundabout or slow speed corner in 3rd or 4th at 30 or 40k's an hour and accelerate out with ease... Though thinking about it. its not like its a major effort to shift back a gear or two hehe..
  12. Hey guys Its gonna be sort of hard to explain i think as im currently at school so i cant really hook up any cool paint drawings to aid what im trying to say... but masically i want to know what direction the slots on slotted discs should go and whether it really makes much differences.. I remember reading on this forums that they should go a certain way (which is the way that i have them on my car now) but since then the cars i have seen in magazines / around have got them going the other way... No. on the drivers side of the car. the inner part of the slot (Closest to centre of wheel) enters the caliper first... (while gonig forward ) As in. the top of the disc, when looking at the drivers side. goes like (as opposed to /) Which way should they go? any disadvantages in going the wrong way? Cheers for the help.
  13. hehe. dang! Either way its far moer pleasing to have a RB25 over an Rb20.. the research i did into RB30's wasnt too extensive so its hard to comment. But from the looks of it all i think the RB25 was a far more straight forward thing to do Though from the results of some people it does indeed look the RB30 has more to offer. But like i said. cant complain
  14. agreed. that was one of my main reasons for choosing the Rb25... My car will always be a street driven car... So i didnt want something that was going to be annoying to drive There is a thread about some bloke who has just put a VG30 Exhaust housing onto his already hiflowed (gcg) standard turbo and is now making a solid 270rwkw From what ive seen that would be near impossible with an RB20 considering that guy has standard internals etc
  15. I put an RB25 in with a microtech LT-8s Used my existing full exhaust, FMIC, Greddy Profec B II @ 0.85bar, with walbro pump and FPR.. Thats about it. was going to modify my rb20 till i did a fair bit of research and it just wasnt worth it. IMO anyhow. Cheers
  16. well i spent around the 3000 dollar mark. made 210rwkw on 12psi in non-shootout mode.. cant really complain about that...
  17. the best power upgrade you can do to an R32 is put an RB25 in it My 2 cents
  18. scuse my n000bness... But would would i gain out of these over the stock items. Interested
  19. Auto or Manual ECU? If manual, take $70?
  20. whats the advantage of the hks cast manifold over the stock one?
  21. only think i know about stainless steel as it oxidises like any other metal at temps of around 300 - 350+ So considering most people chose it due to it being rust proof, thats sort of not true.. lol but from the looks of the HKS cast manafold, looks like a stock one with a flange for a wastegate. doesnt look like anything special. yet theres a good chance i have no idea
  22. ill take the side skirts PM on the way
  23. Memph
