  1. If anyone has two standard 444cc injectors available, or a full set of 500cc+, please let me know. Two of mine are leaking and car is stuck at Hi Tech. Thanks
  2. I think you're right. Two second hand ones are going to cost me $100. Prolly another $150 to get them cleaned. And $20 in freight So $270 to reco old ones. And assumes I have no more problems. I should be able to get around $200 selling the existing set. Nengun wants $640 for 6 brand new SARD 700cc delivered. Little more for Nismo or HKS. So $440 real cost. Or, $180 gives me new ones. Damn stupid not to buy newies.
  3. But, doe't injectors have to be matched sets? I mean, if the other 4 are worn, won't the two new ones create an imbalance? Oh bugger - how can I tell what injectors I have now???? they might not be stock or genuine??????
  4. Car in for service - two of my injectors are leaking fuel on R32 GTR. I can either: - replace two buggered with 2nd hand stock 444cc - replace with 6 nismos - upsize to bigger injectors Nengun has a deal on SARD 700cc but I don't know if 700cc injectors will be usable in my car Car is only lightly modded GTR (HKS pods, cat back, restrictor removed) makes about 170KW at wheels. Advice please? I have a new Power FC in the box at home - will fit it if I have to, but kinda like the car the way it is. Any advice gratefully received.
  5. Two of my injectors are apparently buggered. Happy to look at new set, or stock replacements (2 or more) just to get car back on road I can pickup from Darwin or Sydney.
  6. I'm after some Rb26 standard injectors in operating nick. From R32 GTR Two of mine are cracked and leaking (apparently).
  7. Hmn. Will have a look at the manual again. Wish I had smaller hands!
  8. It's not the throw bearing - you'd hear that underneath. Defintely a vacuum noise. Clutch is stiffer to operate (right through movement), and there is no "take up" noise as you'd expect with a buggred throw. It's weird. I thought perhaps there might be a hose there somewhere.
  9. That's nothing. Once I had to change gears in me car. Took all sorts of work including finding the clutch, getting the accelerator right, making sure the engine was running. And the kids of today don't believe ya Changing a wiper blade? Just get the Nissan ones. The generic blades from (name any store) don't fit. The Nissans use a narrower slide than the std ones - not by much but enough to hurt. I have the same problem on a Patrol. Did the Gibbon trick the first time, gave up on the other one, bought the real ones the next time.
  10. Yep, turbos. Done it once; never want to do it again. Gget yourself a 1/4" drive sidchrome socket set, and buy the small unijoint separately (doesn't come in kit). With this kit and an assortment of spanners you can get to every nut. Also get a 17mm flange spanner for the turbo water lines. Don't get the repco version - they flex too much.
  11. My skyline has just developed what sounds like a Vacuum leak when the clutch is depressed. It's definitely inside the car near the top of the clutch pedal. Occurs when the clutch is touched and depressed. Car idle changes. I looked inside and outside but can't see any clutch vacuum assist hoses. Doesnt' make noise outside the car that I can tell. Clutch is now harder to use, but still works. Any clues on what it might be?
  12. When you are sitting still and just touch the throttle, there is a momentary cut-out in the revs - probably drops 200rpm. Then it comes back to idle. I *think* it is probably when the throttle sensor goes from closed to open soemthing is causing the drop. Am getting absolutely f*ed fuel economy as well. Have repalced the o2 sensors. My R32 has been doing this for a long while. I'd stall the car on takeoff if I didnt give it a bootful - damn annoying. Stock except for cat back and HKS pods and steel/ball turbos. Anyone offer any suggestions on what I can check? Cheers, John
  13. Any intact R32 charcoal cannisters (sit behind radiator in front of aircon compressor) Exhaust gas temp sensor (screws into cat, including the plug which is under the passenger seat)
  14. Standard GTR intercooler. Has the N1 slots in the bumper. Boost is "stock". But the original turbos were very very buggered (huge smoke screen) so I expect grunge might be up top. Using Ultimate 98 (of course). Due for a service (time not KM) Noticed that the last tank fill from the BP in town didn't seem to agree with the car (compared to the last few fills from Fannie Bay).
  15. Have just bought a power FC, boost kit and hand controller. Oil filter relcation kit is still coming. However I read instructions that said: Power FC doesn't retard timing on detonation. I'm already getting detonation so bit worried about fitting it without doing soemthing first. Don't want crocked engine/turbos again. Bloke at work reckons I should put some upper cylinder cleaner through (Subaru have some crap in a bottle). Anyone used a similar product up here? I'll have some crud in the top becuas eof the blown turbos last year. Cheers, John
  16. How/when/where does Hidden Valley open up so I can havagoyamug?
  17. Ah farq. I thought it was this Sunday. Could not have made it last Sunday - unpacking from the move to Baygon
  18. Saw a burgundy Stagea (RBNT) on Daly street the other day. Also a pink/purple R32 GTS-T / GTR in nightcliff Might see you on Sunday. Still moving house.
  19. Hope I wasn't too sideways on that trip Damn thing has a double plate clutch.I reckon I've gotabout 1mm between off and on - keep stalling it at the damn lights (or chirping)
  20. GTR finally up and flying. Runs fairly well - still has some settling in to do. Custom number-plate ordered - got the current plates percehed on the parcel shelf. BBearing steel turbos work a treat - come on low and smooth - no big power spikes. One WRX was done in second gear. Will be taking it to Hidden Valley to check the 1/4 mile times in April
  21. Who owns the white and gold GTST seen around Nightcliff? not my cup of tea, but looks kinda nice
  22. My GTR engine is on the way out. I'm looking for people who've had some experience with rebuilders (positive and negative). Obviously looking for someone who can recondition the engine *and* know what they are doing. Looking for a basically stock rebuild but with forged pistons and N1 oil pump. Current turbos are rebuilt with steelwheel ball bearings (not N1 spec - highflowed) Any info appreciated - PM me if adverse just in case the walls have ears
  23. Didn't look at the tyre situation. Rather not go throgh all that pain.
  24. Long enough for Dave to see if the noise coming from the rear of my car is due to two bent rims, or buggered bearings, or a buggered diff. Plus enough time to get the car through rego, bent rims sent to Adelaide, fixed and returned. Car has been sitting at Dave's for three weeks - need to get it fixed and sold. I was eyeing the rims off - he said they were from a Mazda (huge spacers on it).
