i love my skylines and have owned 32, 33, 34 gtst as well as 2 gtr's and an S15. from a performance point of view the S15 shits all over the gtst (not gtr). mine was a jap spec with 184kw standard. it has a much better turbo than all the skyines including all the gtr's. on the standard S15 turbo the s15 pulled 210rwkw.. on the same dyno standard turboed gtst's couldnt match that. so from my experience an S15 will pull atleast equal/often more power for the same mods, with a lot more weight. although the S15 is a bit harsher/rougher to drive everyday than a gtst, altough from a perfromance point of view theS15 wins hands down. people who think that s15 are weak little 4 bangers are in the same league as bogans thinking their big block V8 will destroy every gtr on the road.

It wouldnt surprise me at all if the R35 GTR has more power than is stated. I doubt it would be as high as 420-450kw as with that sort of power it would be a flat 11 sec car. Im thinking more along the lines of 20-30kw increase, say 370-380kw. It will be interseting to see what sort of power atw it will deliver. with 353kw you would expect 270-280AWKW? I think anything over 290-300AWKW would equate to more than 353 FWKW.

marchGTR replied to R32_GODZILLA's topic in R35 GTR
not sure whats up your a hole but what looks 'tough' in your words is a very subjective opinion. from a general 'world wide' perspecitve i think the new GTR will be a very positive move for nissan. I guess only time will tell. -

yes and also 1/3 of the price... price wise more comparable to a tarted up taxi -
7.35 around the ring!! I hope there is some truth in this. I think the next gtr will be something special

The HKS EVC are what a lot of people run in their R's. which ever you choose get one with dualo solenoids. Also you wouldnt really want to run more than 1Bar on stock turboes, maybe upto 1.1-1.2, although a little risky.

R32 Gtr Vs S15 Jap Spec Vs R34 Gtt
marchGTR replied to QRI05E's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I was talking standard turbos on both cars. Both cars will make similar power but the S15 is almost 250kg lighter. -
R32 Gtr Vs S15 Jap Spec Vs R34 Gtt
marchGTR replied to QRI05E's topic in General Automotive Discussion
'power = easier to extract than sr20' sorry but this is crap. The S15 SR20 has a much better 'more durable' turbo than GTT and with similar mods will out perform the gtt in all driving situations. I used to own a japspec S15 and was making 210RWKW with just exhaust, PFC, boost (17-18psi), IC,fuel pump. injectors. my brother owned a GTT and he struggled to get this sort of power out of the standard turbo (he has recently sold his gtt and bought an s15) So from a pure performance point of view S15 would be a clear second to the GTR. My order would be 1. GTR (try for a R33 if you can, r32 are getting a bit old and hard to find a good one). 2. S15 3.gtt -

R32 Gtr - Just Removed Boost Restrictor
marchGTR replied to Y2K's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I removed my boost restrictor almost 2 yrs ago, runs 14-15psi (up from11) and no dramas. power jumped from 198-230rwkw with just addition of apexi panel filter and removal of restrictor. -
ive owned all the cars mentioned other than the m3. in my opinion if your after pure performance/daily driver I would go the R33 gtr..they have a smoother power delivery than the 32r, look much newer inside, quicker responding altessa, more room, stiffer chassis, brembo brakes, better seats, airbag/s... R34 is nice, feels refined, nice and smooth....but you will want a gtr (I did). I preferred my s15 (jap spec) over the 34.. looked better IMO and went harder/handled better than the gtt (although not a fan of the sr20 sound).
-
from my experience>>`stock for stock they are pretty similar..comes down to driver skill.. a stock jap spec s15 will beat both (used to have one)...as for a gtr from a standing start it will smash a stock xr6t.
-
I beleive R32 gtr= 1480kg, 33gtr=1520, r34gtr=1560kg. hopefully the new gtr will tip the scales somewhere around 1600kg. i predict 1610

ive had my r33 gtr on a 320km dash up around 270...it still had a bit left in it.

Shell Optimax Vs Bp Ultimate
marchGTR replied to RB SANDY's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
previously i had never really thought there was much difference between the 98ron fuels. however in my new gtr I have consistantly noticed the car doesnt run as well on optimax. initially i thought it was just a bad batch of fuel however i have nismo boost dials which consistantly dont peak as high when using optimax as compared to other fuels (vortex, ultimate or even extreme) and the car feels more sluggish on optimax.
