  1. I dont think it is PSI, I think the +7 corresponds to 1Bar (from memory, looking at other posts) although Im not 100% sure. I guess im questioning the realiability of these gauges or whether some stock GTR's just run more boost?? I havent really got anything to compare my car to as the only other GTR I have been in is Leewahs..eh and that feels like the gravitron at Luna Park!
  2. I have Just 2quick question to anyone who knows. What sort of motorbike would give a standard turboed GTR a good run? I know nothing about bikes I had a run against this 750cc and got beaten- by a lot!(got him off the line-but maybe he wasnt trying) the only reason I had a go was because his number plate was 'idiot' the other question is what does the standard boost gauge go too? Mine seems to go all the way to +7(1Bar??), and I have everything standard, including exhaust and still have the restrictor. maybe the gauge is innacurate?? Is this common?

  4. Hi all, I have just bought myself a bog stock R33 GTR(purple!) and was wondering if its OK to remove the boost restrictor even with a stock exhaust? I will get a new exhaust in the future, but tempted to remove the restrictor in the meantime?? I have looked through previous threads but havent found the answer to this question
  5. sorry about that obviously I didnt understand what 145DB meant...either way it was a loud car..thats all I was trying to get at.
  6. before I had my GTR I used to own a S2 R33 and from my experience, if both cars are stock and both get clean starts, and the drag goes on long enough the skyline is quicker... off the line the rex will be a bit quicker, in second the skyline will get its nose infront, and in third get further ahead (1-2 car lengths). Although against an sti it has little chance stock (unless my mum is driving the sti).
  7. my brother had a 97 blacktop 180 that had an S-AFC, profec B BC, a cannon of an exhaust (145DB) and at 13psi it had 150rwkw.... for interest the car also had a nismo diff locker with very soft suspenion(quikoffthe line)...it was a very fast car(eh in a straight line!), it used to kill my s2 R33 which had about 170rwkw
  8. Me and my brother both had R33 GTST in the past and both needed the timming belts changed at around 70,000Km's. both had the ticking noises, and no decrease in performance...get it changed if thats the prob, you dont want it to snap!!!!
  9. INASNT, Is your boost controller still for sale?? why are you selling it? Does it hold boost and function properly. If everythinhg OK I am willing to offer $300.. Im in melbourne
