There are plenty of d*ckhead, who also drive skyline out there, BTW did you have your bonnet up? Normally I wouldn't stop in the middle of no where for someone on the side of the road unless they got their bonnet up. But yeah yealling and carrying on are traits of the tools that populate our society.

Haha, I was on the way there last night with my re-powered wrx to give some of you heartache, but I counted 5 cops & D cars on the way there, and I thought end of the month quotas. So I went out to jimboomba to play dodgem with the hares.

R33 GTS25-t against Porsche Carrera...
hungry6 replied to P1E's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
It's just my though on the car, and my mate didn't have one, but I did, a 2004 carrera 4, also I currently have couple of skylines. I drive them all and knows their handling very well. Try and put down 300+hp on a carrera on a negative camber apex is like ice skating with roller skates, you look good at first, but, it wont belong before you split your head open. I've been around a few cars, that I think I can cast a fair judgement, but I would rate my driving ability as average. Where as you might be one of the better driver I'm talking about, and that your ability is actually better than you think. -
HELP.........need engine rebuild
hungry6 replied to lismo's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
The tell tales of a dead rb25 is when u first starts up and a lil puff of white smoke comes out and disappears, also most of the damage may not be done by yourself. The last gtr I had it had bent valves burnt pistons and a shot cyl 6 , it leak test fine and drove fine until the dread ticks in the top end grew louder. After i got the car. weeks later, so a perfectly good reason to do a good rebuild. -
I would be interested in a flat drag type boot spoiler, also not sure if anyone else would be interested in, is a 1 piece c/f door trim, I would paid $1500 for each door trim.

PFC HELP reward offered possibly alcoholic (If that is your thing)
hungry6 replied to Bunta's topic in Queensland
Ok, now you owe me $10 for viewing it without my permission. HAHA. Yes, I got different cams now, the ones I had in there were abit violent at about 7000rpm, I cant seem to change the gear as fast as the car revs to 9000 from 7000, maybe I'm a crappy driver, but anyway, it getting a retune as the cams are different and the 660cc injects are out of duty cycle. So yes the car, is getting looked at and a few more dollars tip into it before my brother gtr gets on the road. What do you think of my factory looking set up Erin. Now the car shines from within. -

yankee r33 kisses the wall
hungry6 replied to 88silhouette's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
You be suprised, how many gtrs are in the states, For obvious reasons, they are still right hooker and track specials only, as the car in the pics above, and they pay next to nothing for them, as they are "part only" items. -
I think the furbo falcon are abit late, I'm looking forward to hybrid performance in the near future from japan. front wheels electric rear wheels petrol, does away with an awd gearbox related problem and power transfer.

How did you manage to get the epoxy resin of the eprom? I also tried to pull one of a board, but my fingers aren't as strong as your.

R33 GTS25-t against Porsche Carrera...
hungry6 replied to P1E's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
From my humble experience the carrera will monster the skyline at the very last moment, they have very high mph for some unknow reasons, Also 2 average drive in the 2 cars mentioned, the skyline will win around a track. 2, experience driver in the same 2 cars, the skyline, be lucky to see the porsche tail lights. -
I drive a skyline, but not blindly following the force. Funny about what you said above, because we bought 4 xr6 turbos as company cars, and I took one to a private track day, 7 laps later there is a very healthy knock in the bottom end, time for a warranty I guess, so much for a new car. To put things into perspective I have myself canned the living daylight out of an integra type R with over 100 000 kays on the clock and I drove the thing home afterward after a 2 hour stint. Oh btw the falcon came out of the factory with more creaks and groan than my 3 year old WRX which is canned (boosted) from the day I got it delivered. It's just plain simple FORD and HOLDEN and Germans donot R&D their car like the Japanese do, and probably wont into the forseable future.

I read the same thread, as I remember, it was a nissan tow bar for a S14, which also cause a little bump in the rear bar. I wonder what the insurance co say about homemade towbar, untested to NATA standards. Just a though, not trying to be smart.

Just keeping everyone update, well I pull the door trim off, only to realise that the door plastic grab handle ares comes of by itself without having to remove the door trim. There is a screw in the grab handle well that u need to remove and use a flat screw driver to prise out the hard plastic trim piece. Once you have gotten this far, donot unplug the combi plug from the car as you'll need power to the combo-button assembly test the buttons. Turn the whole assembly over and you'll find 4 screws which needs to be remove and then the window lock button have to be remove by lifting it straight up as in reverse to the pressing action. This then allows the assembly to be expose and 2 smaller screw to be remove and the internals of the elctronic circuit board expose. You'll find that the area that matches the driver side door is a small rectangular sliding switch, that has 3 separate possition, I've notice that over time it has move or force away from the square passenger side button which somehow allow the sliding mechanism to fall out of contact. So a quick look on your door trim, you'll find inorganic foam, which you'll need a small piece which then have to be forced between the square rocker switch of the passenger side and the sliding switch of the driver side, somehow this pressure creates contact inside the sliding switch. On reassembly make sure that you line up all the rocker and sliding switch to the respective hook up point and reassemble in to the door trim. One thing you'll have to remember that is , to unlock the window button. I though i screwed up and had to pull it apart for the 2nd time only to realise the windo lock button was on when i re assemble it.

I'm going to pull that door trim off and have a look at the electronics switch behind it this week end
-
Does anyone have this problem with their driver side window button working intermitently, and what is the fix for it?
-
I saw a silver one this arvo not sure , if it's the same car.I though it was a 350z first, and thought my eyes playing tricks on me, They looks good, but a 350z has my vote for been a nicer car.

All time Ultimate GTR

I would like an original 400R bog stock!! -
Dunno about the "more balance and enjoyable" bits, gtr are fast-fast cars but as a fun car a gts is more of a fun car, surely you can go harder and quicker in a gtr, but a boosted gts is a hard car to beat for fun, just in case everyone ask have i driven or own a gtr, some of these are current and some are past cars 2xr32gtr one r33 gtr one r33gtst and rexes-audis-bmw-ferraris-lotus, of all the car I've driven , no awd has the same connection to the driver like a rwd, an AWD car can only dream of doing so.
-
Ford, is currently using the territory as a test bed for it's awd system, but as someone here said getting the kilos down and the reliable drivetrain to cope with it will cost big dollars. So even if it did comes out chances are a FPV only case, can't see it under $100k and on the wrong side of 2tones, I remmeber Holden once said, when they sticK an awd behind 5.7, then they'll teach the 2.0 litre brigade(wrx) a thing or 2, I'm still waiting. They've forgot one thing reall R&D cost lots of money and time. Until now the turbo XR6 still show signs of being unreliable, god forbid what an AWD turbo would do.
-
Yes my car was a series one r33 which I owned it for about 10 years now, I wouldn't even call it a r33 anymore, project gone mad, lol. yeah, it's a r33 s1 your car would have to have the 80mm afm (green sticker) as with the later rb20s?

Quick question reguarding gcg highflow
hungry6 replied to calais25t's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
One thing no ones ever mention is which type of turbo (bearings) last longer under extreme usage. I've had hiflo/rebuild last 6 months and die. When I switched to new b/b one, never had a premature failure, and my driving habits hasn't change.
