No skyline but a damn fine looking car M3 CSL
hungry6 replied to Hiroshima Screamer's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Disregards what specs you might have read, I've personally seen a 360 against a m3 csl in "control " condition, haha. Anyway, all I can say the ferrari absolutely flogs the m3 csl. and it wasn't by a small margin either, Also the m3 comes from the factory with yoko semi slicks and put semi slicks on a ferrari it get worst for the m3. I'm neither a fan of BMW or Ferrari, just so happen the fazza sound so horny, even more so than my daily car. -
Hate to say this earth moving equipement are VERY RARELY recovered from theft, as they usually find themself on large property and then parts donner to another identical machine which the thief have bough legal. You'll find most heavy machinery are fitted with sat. tracking, These are the only case where they are found and theif caught. recent conversation with a insurance broker, he said a caterpillar skid steer loader similar to ones we have, went missing from a site and the police used the sat track, to trace it and found it sitting in a garage of a house in marsden.

I might be able to make this one. If i get home early, I will come in the skyline."Finally got the new bearings and rings back in there" But i'f i'm running late from work, I will arrive in what ever is parked out front. Is that ok?

I used to live in station rd there in Sunnybank where it crosses turton st HAHA. the salmon-creamy low set accross the rd from the shops up the end there. and no my gts doesn't have a rattle, but it has a bloody throaty howl.
-
Ohh where about in sunnybank, as I also live on musgrave rd for a few days of the weeks.

You got to look past the black plumes of unburnt fuels and exhaust emission"trait of a boosted skyline" Also you seen me around, not in a skyline though HAHA.

wtb-rb25det rebuild kit, or good 2nd hand bottom end
hungry6 replied to alex.a's topic in Wanted to Buy
I got rb26 rods and pistons ?? -
I have a definate passion for skylines, the way the drives, but I also avoid buying a gtr for reason other than cost. To me anycar can go fast with time and money, and the draw back of owning a gtr is that it has street cred and is also a thief magnet.

For all those of you who reckons they got the toughest car, Well damn i might just have the right tree, right here in my front yard for you to prove me wrong!!!! The tree can nevar lose. Also some ppls like to drive gtst , they give more of a sleepr appeal than a in ya face gtr, It's been said, "It's hurts more when you are beaten by a lesser opOnent, than a greater one" umm i just made that up. HAHA.

RB26 Clutch Booster ???
hungry6 replied to T88 ON BOARD's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
One of your leg is gonna be alot bigger than the other. Now you can guess which one. -
I wouldn't mind 6, if that is possible.

Just to my limitted general knowledge, if a car didn't comes from the factory with turbo, It's was always going to be hard to make it reliable after being turboed, as factory turboed cars were engineer with alot of other agenda in mind other than power, ie. heat and coolings. are 2 of the top of my mind, APS might do a good set up, but it a far cry from a factory set up.

Is this intercooler piping big enough?
hungry6 replied to B0oStEr's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Take it to an irrigation-pump shop where they do alluminium piping for farms, and those fellas can whip up the sort of bends a city exhaust shop can only dream of. One of the best exhaust fella in bris used to be a alloy pipe fabricator for a large turf farm. Now guess where i got my pipes done? -
It's a policing policy culture, around Australia. $$$$$$ and more $$$$$ don't worry about anything else. As I write this i know it's a fact that 50% of the total conglomerated policing hrs are designated to traffic duties in QLD, So if you feels you are being a little hard done by, you are damn well right, Also the current trends for real policing is that minor crime are being brush of as civil case and then they have the right to refuse any police involvement.

You need not use the motor, but the essential pipings and cast items for the v6. just stretch your imagination abit .

I go the v35 + 300ztt front cut, and merge the 2 see what u get.

Ok instead of buy a set of personalised number plates i bough a supersonic BOV , to get the right noise from the skyline. I have no probs with personalise number plates, some of them even bring smiles to my face when i see them, best one i've seen is [ON VISA] on a bentley gt, if the plates just state what model or car your driving , it's a different thing. Also all them bmw plated cars you see around the place are bmw Australia loaners.

My car run on a mixture of optimax and what ever i can find, no specific fuel requirement. Simply TOO HARD!!!

RB26 stronger internals/rebuild help PLEASE!
hungry6 replied to justinfox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Also u might want to look up cunningham rod if you absolutely wants the bees knees of rods for the street, bit pricey though. -
No the idea is not that bad if u think about it. i ran a similar set up on my last motor and the oil temp was definately lowered. THe way i ran my set up was, from the turbo outlet i ran 1" alluminium piping thin walled in a big S shape toward the bottom oil return point, making sure that oil does not build up inside the alum tubing. after that , i bought wrap around heat sinks that you sometimes see on high pressure hydraulic line and wrap it on the piping. The theory was to cool the hot turbo oil before it got return into the sump, nothing kills oil faster than heat, But i also ran the conventional set up on the otherside of the motor. The irony of it all was that i had a good oiling cooling set up, but there wasn't just enough of it when i need it the most, until i got a 7.5 litre capacity sump plus huge oil lines for cooler and a large oil cooler. next stop would be a dry sump and a 20litre set up in the boot i guess

Nothing make u sicker than going back to where u parked and find it's empty. car thieves should be castrated with a blunt rusty butter knife.

100mm T/B + GREDDY PLENUM (RB26) does it work???
hungry6 replied to T88 ON BOARD's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I dunno about the extent of your testing, but i know that nissan has gone out of their routine to do a 6 butterflies job for the gtr for response, as for other manufacturers that uses multi throttle bodies on there cars with great results are The m series BMW all porsche-ferraris-maseratis-lamborghinis-lotus-elfins- and most of the alfas and lancias. the reason the japanese went for the single t/b is that originally they had issues with tunning it as the smaller t/b as the airspeed and pressure some how cause anomalies between cylinders which then inturn made it much harder to tune and a way to solve the problems was go a big single t/b. But Time have taught them a few thing most notably is MOTEC which nails the anomalies on the head, The reason single t/b are still around cause old habits are hard to kick, and if it's on the shelf why not use it. But as S/K said is true, instant response is a non event for a drag car. -
I've been cruising around in my red car and getting a few notice from other skyliners. One thing I notice on quite a few gtrs are personalise plates that either say [GTR 89] OR [GTR 28] OR [GTR 10] I means what is the go, yes, it's a gtr and the bagdes aren't big enough? So they have to advertise it in the plates? worst still are gts-t with gtr badges are ppls so lame?
