  1. i would like to know to, as would u simply dump and external pump in the tank as is or there is more to know.
  2. Damn western australians. Always surrounding themselves in conspiracies and secretcy. The results are , how would i put it astonishing, to the point of unbelievable, but hey if there are ppls to confirm the results and as long as the customer is happy, then a job welldone. But it is also good etiques to explain the proccess of accomplishments.
  3. When you had the transplanted done, did the shop hooked up all the coolant hoses properly? or did they ditch some of the excess piping. there are coolant pipings that runs around the back of the engine across the firewall and then under the turbos, collecting the superheated water and then returning it into the head just infront of your power steering assembly. If for some reason you are missing any of these pipe works, what u are experiencing is that superheated water is not being recirculated to the system, and are allowed to heat up and when your thermostate is registering the heat buld up it is too late to be cooling it down as it has reached a point where it will boil any other coolant it comes into contact with. The simple test for this is that you supposedly have a 1/2 or 5/8" pipe running out from your turbo. after starting your motor from cold within 5 mins see if this section of pipe is boiling and your bottom hose of your radiator is still cold then you have had your coolant circulation pipes truncated during the transplant. I hope this isn't the case if it is it will require engine out to fix it or some small gnome to get in there with skinny little fingers to get it back together.
  4. Why did it need a rebuild?
  5. VERY TRUE!!! well said.
  6. i got 420rwhp of an rb25 using a gt35 with pistons as only internal upgrade, as for bolt on the list starts here and goes to over ---------------> there, but it did lasted for a fairwhile until i drove a true 800+ hp rb26 monster.
  7. OK this may interest some ppls out there, But currently dealing through a contact i have in the industry, i'm organising a 2wd sump for the rb26 with hi-energy and the results will be either implement for mass production or made to order job. But either way the requirement of the sump is large(11litres) oil capacity- trap door and baffles. After the spectacular exit of my last rb26, I've decide cut and welds sump are so-so but it could be done better, so i'll keep everyone posted on the outcome, hopefully a new part number from hi-energy.
  8. i want a sticker also
  9. I had a girl coming at me the wrong way on the large round-about that crosses over the ipswich rd and centenary highway, she wave and i wave , i didn't get agro or come close to being agro, just laffs , maybe it was the size or her asset and the way she smile, that made all rd rule irrelevant at that very instant.
  10. Wait until u break something on that BMW and we'll discuss about which one is dear to keep. A 10y.o BMW is at it's life when it becomes a part consumer, euros don't screw car together like the jap, but they do have more style.
  11. HAHA how did you know it was blueberry I'm not looking under my seat, it a never go there part of the car.
  12. Maybe my Rb26 doesn't even make 150hp of boost, i couldn't really cares, it get around fine off boost and to quote whether u got race cars or what ever is shining the torch abit. I'm not out to prove i have massive technical knowledge or do i have a golden spanner. I'm just discussing my specific case. Just from my limitted knowledge of cars I know enought to say no 2 cars are exactly the same with exacting set up. So is everyone driving style. But i can say one thing is, modifying cars is a very much so personal taste, and if u want to build a track special looks no further than some stock cars ei. from Porsche-bmw-lotus. As the amount of RD that went into these cars will humble just about most cars that are screw together by the hobyist racer, with out having one screw turn. I have an open mind to alot of things said and respect alot of ppls opinion disregaring their technical knowledge, But it be more courteous to be discussing the relevant points, than having critical comments and quoting 3rd party "facts" I'm sure lots of ppls here think i'm a no brainer, but that's life. So be it.
  13. I can attest that i'm no way bias toward a large single t78 or what eve.r it's that i've driven and owned both, very responsive twin set up and a so call "lag monster 78" as refered by some ppls. Trust me unless u own and drive a modified rb26 with a t78 u have no idea how tractable the car is, u donot need all of 700 hp to get the car off the lights all the time, as there is plenty of power off boost to keep the car moving, and i'm not talking about trying to keep up, off boost a good rb26 would be producing conservatively 300hp, so where does that put u in amonsgt the joe average car owner. On the other hand a responsive twin set up feels thrusty all the time and feels jolty 100% off the time, as the car spend most of it time on boost and u don't need all 600hp+ instantly under your right foot in general traffic. Good twin have their place at a lower power levels maybe about 350-400ish but beyond that a big responsive twin is a track only proposition. This is just my personal experience from my own driving style, but everyone else might be different with their right foot.
  14. The funny thing is see here and alot on other car forums is alot of ppls aspires to setting their car up in similar fashion as a dedicated track car would be done, also ppls gives out advice how to set up cars and drawing correlation with other track car, but in honesty, how many of you ppls actually drive your car on the track more than once a week for extended period of time. Of course there always will be an exception, but the plain truth is that many skylines rarely sees a track, and if you ever drove on the rd as you would have on the track, your license isn't going to last a morning. So as to setting up a car, it's very much a personal choice and getting good advice is priceless, but don't be rail rd by anyone, every set up is going to be different there are some main points to be consider are: performance criteria - cost - durability. just some food for thoughts as there is no such thing is one is better than the other without looking into the intent of the set up.
  15. in a true sense LAG is foreplay to the mechanical orgasm. but beside that i'm running one atm not as laggy as some ppls believe and very streetable.

  19. I've seen that car plenty of times around the place and from the onset it is a nice looking car with some decent styling "looks" done to it, just from experience very tidy and slick looking machine rarely goes hard, anyway it'll prolly comes up in the pickles auctions my bid is 15G
