Which Clutch to choose
hungry6 replied to paulgts-t's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
This is also for u ppls with 3000lb pressure plate, that's in time it will crack the little alluninium casting in the bellhousing where the hydraulic selector is pivot on.. and btw thanks for clearing up about 600hp cars and single plate organic. -
actually, i can shed a bit of light on this thread, i've used both custom and modified stock plenum. the modified stocko is the better of the 2 , but it does requires lots of grinding work withing the plenum for correct air deflection vanes, where as the custom was an absolute heap of shit. but then the g reddy one looks the wrks tough, and as for response time, it beats the stock pipe over settup hands down and this is with a big fmic. i got pics if anyone wants to look just pm me.

Which Clutch to choose

ummm abit optimistic on the 600 hp on a organic ones?, for the application u require a 2500lb pressure plate and a grey rock compound from exedy will do just nice , smooth take of, last quiet good and will accept a bootfull when require , but not absolute hardcore as the ceramic metal puck ones. and i don't know how much it cost either. -
haha, too true, i saw them pouring in oils out of a orange juice container into the drag car that they drained from a staffers car, when they found it was low on oil. Talking about sweetening it up!!!

get a 450hp gt25 and spec it with a 0.64 T3 exhaust housing. it will bolt straight up with intake pipe mods . and u be supprise at the power it generates with other mods. as i remember it came on boost about 3-400 rpm later than the stocko unit. or if u want there is a rarer version of the gt series it's the gt28 that's a lil beauty but also pricey if u can find 1.
-
so basically they're saying, they'll keep ur hopusing and swap the entire cartridge for $2200, what a farking rip of !!!!! u can obain brand new gt25 to bolt up for under $2000.

Extremely Urgent Problem!!! Please Help Guys!
hungry6 replied to bucket's topic in General Automotive Discussion
umm, u must be the 20th person i heard and know of within the last couple of week, got done for "modifying silencing device " as far as i know , the cops are current doing any modify car over for the same defect and it a questionable defect, as it was all hearsay. well i know the local court room is full of ppls fighting simmilr case and sooner or later the magistrate will be pissed off and serve one up to the cops on some other related case. as far as defending ur case u need to get it tested by a independant company with the associated db testing device, and u have to also notify the DPP, that u are fighting the infrignment on the grounds of questionable or lack of measuring device used by the police force at time of infringement. normally it stops here, as they know tey got jack to work on and they have acchieve what they want is to cause grievance and disruption to your normal routine. FARKING COPS!!! I HATE THEM WITH A PASSION. -
very well said!!
-
what day or night i should say, and are u allowed walk on paint?
-
make sure u don't spill it on your paintworks while filling the car
-
this is my r33 gts-t below and it's a hard argument for an r32 in term of looks and performance for the ppls who knows the car.
-
on my last set up was a modify of the existing plenum and it made a huge dif with heat soak and response. beside everything ppls say here u will also need to get custom throttle cable made and relocate where the cables hook up to. also the throotle body have to be turn upside down for it to work. and the gtr plenum DOES NOT FIT

Tyres again - Formula R's, Yoko A032R's & the like
hungry6 replied to whatsisname's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The reasons alot of normal drivers go for the RE540s is that , it give very early warning before it let go, but then it absolute friction coefficient is somewhat compromise by the gradual break away effect. simply to put it the tyres are easier to drive fast on if your average behind the wheels, where as the formular R are there and not there beyond it performance envelope. -

wet weather is something i tread very carefull with street slicks, but the formular R is good, not brilliant, but they don't go off as fast as other inferior tyres, but the tyre of choices if u wanna used them 18 months after the day of purchase is the yokohamas , i don't think they go off at all. -

atm i on my second set of formular R and i've have used falken TEFLON azenis before also. 235 or 255 in 17" dunlop is absolutely awesome in terms of grip. Well, the amount of grip they have makes other performance tyre manufacturers lies awake at night sweating!!! and they're not that noisy , well i can't hear it abve my 3.5" exhaust. -
lol!! so true. but then the sound of an external wastegate scares most of the pest of.
-
it's a dead battery dude. and if your getting a new one , spend the money and get a oddyssey since they are gel type of battery and 100% maintainace free and doesn't spill acid inside the car when your pulling those huge Gs cornering.

yes the pump have to go inside the smaller but deeper section of the tank. u have to modify your bracket(cutting) slightly so it'll fit down there. also there is another bosch pump that will flow 600 hp and it has a gauze on the end and it a neater fit. but the one i got is by NEKO some where from japan and it is huge but it has a pickup tube and slip straight into the stock bracket.
