  1. Hi , Signed up an account to replay to this thread I have an R33 GTR with these turbos and have had them running for aorund 8000klm now . a couple of things to know :- mine had to be run in for about 1-1500klm because of the bearing type Use a thinner oil for the engine , i use 10w30 redline - many use alot thicker oil and this will make a big difference to turbo lag with drag on the bearings. Use the factory manifolds unless you have other mods which need otherwise. The manifold to turbo flange is smaller on the factory units increasing gas veocity into the exhaust side of the turbos making them spool at lower rpm . The expreme setup has a larger opening which breaths better at higher rpm but reduces exhaust gas velocity at lower rpm- this makes a big difference with spool up at low rpm. Use poncam b's , they increase duration of the opening of the exhaust valve by 5 degrees NOT lift - they are easy to install and increase exhaust gas pressure making a noticable difference. you dont need adjustable gears for this - they are pegged for stock cam gears . Adjustable gears are not really required for mild tuning like this. Mine start to spool at 3200 rpm , have fully spooled up to 1bar at 4000 rpm and keep this steady until redline. Im upgrading my fuel system and plenum this winter along with arp head studs and a cosworth head gasket so hoping for 1.2 bar next year reliably Once everything is finished ill get a dyno sheet and post it up !
