  1. So i'm looking at doing my brakes at some stage soon, wanting to get DBA 4000 Series T3 rotors all round. Pads wise i'm looking at EBC Redstuffs. Anyone have any experience with this setup? I liked the look of the Project MU deal above too, quite cheap, but wouldn't have a clue what "series" to go for. Car is street only, no track at all.
  2. Mission accomplished. Thanks.
  3. Hey guys, I'm going to be doing a timing belt, water pump service soon and want to replace the radiator hoses at the same time. What are people opinions on the use of Silicon hose kits? I noticed you can get the JJR ones for $49 for both hoses. Genuine sets will be around $105 odd. Is it better to use rubber? I also like the look/quality of the Samco stuff but it's hard to find in Black for the 34 GTT. I'll also be putting in a Fenix Alloy Radiator and Genuine Thermostat while i'm there. Cheers, Kurt.
  4. It's got a nice big wear split at the top of the wheel Not just worn, but it's worn THROUGH haha. Thanks Artz i'll give them a bell!
  5. Can anyone recommend a good re-trimmer that can do a steering wheel (in an X-Trail) that's in the S.E. Suburbs, Vic? Cheers!
  6. As the title states, i'm after these 2 sensors in working condition. Intake temp from the intercooler and exhaust temperature sensor located in the dump/down pipe? Let me know what you have! Cheers.
  7. Hey guys, I'm after the following parts: Triple Gauge Cluster - Can be broken, smashed, hacked and without the cover. I really only need the circuit board/connectors (as i'm making a loom). Nismo GTT Gauge Cluster (300/10k) Prefer brand new, but show me what you have! Thanks!
  8. Gotcha, thanks GTSBoy for explaining it like that, makes sense. It's a fairly cheapy filter, i wonder if having like an Apexi power intake would make it different again. As i said it's on at idle, when driving it feels fine. How do other get away with having these things on? Live with the misfire/poppy idle? Or re-tune to adjust for it? I had an NA car before this and changing between open and airbox filters would make no difference in perceivable engine operation.
  9. Ok guys, don't shoot me for trying this, it was just for "fun" because I had it sitting around and wanted to have a play in the garage! Engine normally runs perfectly, smooth idle, no issues. Now I installed this "drift" pod filter, removed the airbox etc. All neat and installed correctly. Car runs awesome and is of course wooshy and noisy haha. However, when returning to idle when warm, the engine has a miss. It pops and the rpms drop (you can see the needle bouncing). Not by alot, but certainly feel it through the car. After 5 or so seconds, it's fairly constant again. Put the airbox back in (which has an Apexi high flow panel filter in it) and no miss, runs smooth as again. What is the pod/open filter doing that's causing it to miss like that at idle? It it actually getting more air, causing an issue with the tune? I didn't think the stock airbox was that restrictive. It was a very cold day here in Melbourne, and the under bonnet temp was fairly cool (not heat soaking). Would a "better brand" filter of these types work better? I notice lots of cars run apexi of hks filters, this drift one I got with the car (first thing I took off) so wonder if it's of poor quality. Weirdly, engine runs great when driving with it! Thanks, Kurt
  10. Issue fixed itself for me today! All working as it should again!
  11. Hey guys, Have noticed recently that pages will immediately refresh themselves multiple times when first loading them. If I right click on the browser back button to show page history, you can see the same page has been reloaded 10 times. I've attached a screenshot to show what I mean. This is an issue because when I click "back" to go to the previous forum/thread it remains on the same page and then refreshes a further 10 times. So the only way to navigate the forum is to left click on links, which can be cumbersome at times as I use a mouse with shortcut buttons for browser back, forward and refresh. Anyone else experience this issue? Running Chrome 26.0.1410.64 on Win 7 x64.
  12. As above, you can't make them fit any better. Unless you widen your guards! Correct offset for 9.5" rim on the GTT is +38. Mine fit perfectly with no scrub and fills out to the guard line. Your's being +20 means they will sit 18mm further OUT of the guard line. Which as you say, about an inch! Need different wheels is what it comes down to.
  13. I don't have any bolts with it mate sorry. I was under the impression you use the OEM Hicas mounting hardware?
  14. Hey mate, I couldn't exactly tell you what brand it is. I know the guy I got it off said to me it wasn't an "ebay part", he did mention the brand, but can't remember what he said. It's quite solid with very good welds. You were in Vic too yeah?
  15. Hey Guys, I have this HICAS lock bar sitting around not used. It's in perfect condition and is chrome plated. Price: I'd like what I paid for it, which is $90. Pickup preferred in Dandenong North. Thanks, Kurt 0419 387 313. PM or SMS.
  16. Ohh right. I didn't see that black strip in between the bonnet. I thought you's were talking about how the top of the bumper has that bump in it, over the other style of GTR bumper which is smooth to the bonnet.
  17. Thanks for the kind words! I'll grab some more angles soon when the weather clears up (camera ran out of battery). Feels great to drive indeed. You can feel the lightness in the wheels when you corner. Didn't really feel any difference in acceleration or response. More so in cornering response. There is slight increased road noise and a slight more harshness in the bumps (but you can't feel any more bumps than I did before, just the ones I did feel, are a bit sharper). But I guess that's a given going to a lower profile tyre. Overall though I love them!
  18. I had always thought that the bumper was moulded in that way! So it's an extra piece that's attached somehow to the normal nose style? What models had this extra lip?
  19. Ok got tyres fitted up yesterday. Ended up with 235/40/18 at the front and 265/35/18 at the rear. Absolute perfect fit in my opinion. Wheels fit in perfectly with no scrubbing at all. I think it fills up the guards nicely. What do we think?
