  2. 10 stores have been knocked over by thieves in the past month or so, but cause each individual theft was under 25k it is petty theft (or something) totals over 150k it attracts no attention and is just too hard to follow up. but hey, if they do a burnout lets bust em' ps. is it true? that someone drink driving killed a minor last week and got off withh 100 dollar fine? i missed the first half of radio broadcast. it is not as bad as doing 'wheelies' obviously. ohh well, pretty sure it wasnt a young 'HOON' either but more your socialite type.
  3. Cheeky it has passed in two other states already.
  4. http://www.theadvertiser.news.com.au/commo...55E2682,00.html Unfortunately police have to goven stupid rules made by even stupidier goverment bodies. We, like so many other people have endless problems with theft, graffiti and so forth in our suburb that it is well beyond a joke, but the usual police response is what do you want us to do??? it is not thier fault but the goverments laws really favour the criminal. it is easier to bust some dude doing a burnout than robbing someones house. I wrote a letter in to the advertiser, bottom of the link, posted at top of page. i suggest you all do too. Be sensible and mention the lack of patrols and surveilance in places it count like our suburbs and too many concentrating on 'HOONS' who have probaly never done anything worse than screach some tyres! new motto should read "SORRY WE CANT HELP YOU, BUT WE CAN BUST YOU"
  5. sorry been burning midnight oil for upcoming drift event, getting R33 g/box conversions sorted for SR20DET. I will get prices up later today. email at store is [email protected]
  6. No copys as yet, sorry.
  7. i reckon you might get away with bolt ons, bit of a tweak here and there. have you got any mates with r32? take a few measurements and give it a go. we did a 180 down at d1 with almost identical damage last week.
  8. the prices i qouted you on include the original jap rear bar, and my side skirts. there is the one set only and the rest will be my moulds. Trent
  9. i think another problem with such a conversion is that most one piece tailshaft setups use a extension housing with a stronger extension housing setup to support output shaft better, the centre cv bearing setup allows only minor horizontal in out movements whereas one piece will transmit more vertical and radial whip like forces to output shaft and housing. constantly chewed out ext housing seals are signs of this excesive radial movement.
  10. m-sports and vertex almost identical
  11. for the same price with tyres you could get some orginal 3-piece jap wheels or even te37's second hand in decent nick! cheap knock-offs will always look cheap and weigh too much, drift r's are a poor excuse for an aussie company to capitalise on a booming market. i dont know any serious drifter who would put them on thier car, too heavy, cant get the right offsets (even for the cars they are designed to fit) and look to much like a rehashed 5 spoke design from about 4 years ago. japanese wreckers always have something half decent $1900-2600 should see either te37s, avs model 6's, works, bbs etc etc all in good offsets r33gts should run 8.5-9" fronts (depending on tyre choice) and 9.5-10.5" rear with lipped guards.
  12. i saw a bunch of r1 owners maybe 10-12 down at magic mountain carpark hanging out in kappa trackies and singlets. oh they were all blue....... very sad. still like r1's and lots of my mates ride em but they seen becoming a parked, stand next to posers bike. i ride every chance i get and are also in the market 4 a new bike. zx10 real wild animal very fun/challenging to ride always trying to lift front, more than anything else ive ever ridden (inc gsxr100) sooo much grunt. i am waiting for the cbr before i make a decision, spoke to a few guys who bought some of the race release bikes for phillip island a while back and they said it was very forgiving and easy to ride fast, whereas the zx10 felt like it was quicker, it pulled relatively the same times, less fatiguing on long rides maybe? have to wait and see.. to make things harder 04 gsxr-1000, free yoshi pipe and goodrige staino lines etc all for 16.5k??? decision is too hard.
  13. the three modes (bike and two cars) ive converted are still 100 times better than any globe upgrade......ive tried every brand at every price point still no comparing. i have tested them using a special h/lamp HELLA aiming machine (most good crash/service shops will have one) for car light setup, not too much stray light, and keeps pretty close to original beam projection. may not work optimally but youve got soooo much extra light a small loss is of little concern, even sold a couple of bike conversion kits (reflector ballast globe etc) very popular just cant get my hands on enough S/H HID kits.
  14. trust t517z x2, on the road they felt like they spooled quicker than stockys and had heaps of low down torque, and they still ran over 300rwkw!!
  15. i have them in stock in adelaide (mile End) match any deal on same item. $2200? should be 500-800 depending on brand. $2200 is the cost for a trust, hks ext gate type manifold.
  16. if you have access to cheap sh rb26 cams and provided no machining is required it may be worth it, but hks rb series cams are cheap and fall in, no mods, no hassle.
  17. bugger..... HID probaly the best mod ive made to all my rides. turns the hills into daylight, no stretch of the truth, you have to drive with it to believe it.
  18. i doubt that included the 2 xenon (HID) kits required for the conversion, i scoured with local guys high and low every up(py) garage, and other similar shops in osaka on my last trip to satisfy my hunger for hid. 1000 bucks bought me three kits and no light assy. H4 kit for kawasaki zx7, H4 li/low for 180sx and H1 for GTR. if you can hook me up with this kit for approx 1000 i will take one....for sure. pm me with details.
  19. ecenshu; i will bring it in if you would like to see d-speed ones in the silver GTR i have here. Mile End store.
  20. my soarer had a mines computer in it when i bought it, and most importers have a million laying around removed from car yard cars or even removed from thier own cars. that said i recommend whoever has one get it run up on dyno, to check for any signs of det. these computers do run rich but that is their tune style (like most jap tuners) the timing is the killer, tuned usually to run on their premium fuels not our dodge 98ron the timing is fairly aggressive by our standards. i have seen many a colapsed ring land and associated damage cause by these and most other jap remaps. if it were me and i had a r32gtst i would run pfc, too dear? then just sacrifice throttle resonse and use a p&p like mtech or wolf. i know of a few stock ecu'd r32's, james from d1garages stock ecu'd cefiro ran good reliable figures 240~ rwkw 12.6 1/4. these cars ran only HKS fcd and a martin donnon rev/speed limit increase and map clean up. the cefiro even had stock injectors and fuel reg (compressed a little of course).
  21. 99% of all imports have this problem unfortunately, probaly cause 99% get loaded the same way. damn forks.
  22. WE TRIED THEM ON THE JMS GTR'D GTST WHEN IT WAS STILL OWNED BY THEM. , HAVE A LOOK AT THIER WEBSITE AT RED R33. www.japanesemotorsport.com.au
  23. pics below;- now running 18x11 x 18x9.5 (maybe?) (needed more front camber, now running 20mm spacer in rear and 25mm spacer on front to fill guards)
  24. wheels are three piece chrome with gold fastners. lightwieght. off my 180sx, offset to suit supra, skyline etc 18x10.5 18x12 $1800 no tyres $6500 to replace rims alone
