R34 Gtt Brake Q! & Swaybar Q!
Fattony replied to ARE31's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I have front & rear sway bars arriving any day now for my GTT. I ordered thru Daleo, great bloke with lots of knowledge. I asked for selbys, but he informed me they were taken over by fulcrum suspension and have become really expensive, around $400 per bar!! So he steered me towards whiteline, which i jumped at and paid $460 for both!! Only thing is the 27mm front bar that i originally was after isnt adjustable, so i opted for 24 front and rear, both adjustable. He also suggested changing the ball links to heavy duty, which i ordered with the bars. If you need more info or wanna ask any questions, ask Daleo, cant go wrong. -

Yeah i saw em, bit of a coinsidence ey. They would make the car so ugly, id vomit the instant i saw it. Like the advice ive been receiving, its not worth the hassle and money to make em fit. Im happy to move on, hope you are too, Artz. -

Points taken. Im just fishing for reasons why they wont work, and how they can work. Im obviously inexperienced, and im happy to swap them for functional wheels. If anyone is interested or knows a potential buyer, they'll be in the for sale section. Tootles. -

Thanx for the heads up mlr, do u have stiff sway bars? Im puttin in swaybars when i do the coilovers, will that take alot of the 'high speed cornering squat' out?? -

Considering im planin to use these as track wheels, the legality issue is taken care of. Im wonderin now with a stiff setup, id getttin much rubbing on a bouncy track with say 10mm wheel gap?? -

Thanx for all the input guys, sum helpful, sum condescending. I realise ive made a mistake with these but the biggest mistake was trusting the seller who told me they were on his GTT with rolled guards. Anyway im not too disappointed, cheers boys. -
I bought a set of 18x10.5 te37s for my GTT. I put them on the car to see how they fit, and they poke out 30mm on both the front and rear!! I am aware that this is an offset issue, but if i am to use these wheels, wot are my options in terms of lowering and camber? Ill be installing coilovers soon. I had the car on an angle in the driveway, which brought the front right and rear left wheels up into the wells. In doing so there was about 10mm gap between the tyre and guard, but also reduced the poke to about 10mm. Is this a fair representation of how the wheels will poke after lowering? Or will the poke stay at 30mm?

It just doesnt pay to be drivin around in an unroadworthy vehicle. Kinda takes the fun out of it too when your constantly keepin an eye out for the next cop to hand u a canary.

Really sorry to hear all the bad news with guys havin their cars stolen and not gettin em back!! Dat sucks. I live in Sydenham and Im shocked to see that Im in the targeted area! Did the cars that were stolen have alarms? Im guessin to get them on a flat bed theyd have to pick up the rear so the car would roll, would reversing up to a gutter or curb b some preventative action?
