I just read The Motor Report's take on the 2013 release. Seems power is uncnahged, yet they make mention of no tranny mods to fix the failures of the past... Disappointing really.

The Japan Spec premium has Red leather combined with red pleather. I don't think I could seriously handle the whole seat being red, as well as the steering wheel..!

Decent full car wraps are about $2500 - I was quoted this by Wrap Starz up here in Brisbane. That was for a 3M matt black vinyl with measured sheets (not the cheaper knife cut to body work method which scares the fcuk outta me and my paint work)

What Martin means is that trans component failure is random, not determined by how many launches you've done - and to avoid any issues in the long term make sure the appropriate servicing is done over its lifetime. I can relate to this, a mate of mine a few years ago blew a hole the size of my fist thru the bottom end of a Mazda 3 MPS doing 2000 rpm @ 40kms/hr on a main street on the Gold Coast when a rod exploded. But many weeks before that, he was doing hill climbs up springbrook and pushing the car to the limit with the best of us. Was the car stock - yes, did he thrash the balls off it, no. Totally random and unfortunate..... lucky the thing was under warranty though.

Does upgrading to LC4/5 via accessport definitely void the warranty??? Is there any way the dealer can do it??

I have 2 kids seats in the back and there are ISO Fix points everywhere to accommodate the little monsters. Unfortunately anyone over 5'6" will struggle with head room in the back, but at least there's plenty of room for the kids - I wasn't allowed to get the phantom grey bat mobile Lotus Exige S 260 because of the lack of rear seats - so the GT-R does nicely. GT-R OZ, ironic name - yet you don't have one. If you do manage to buy one, however, you'll never regret it

^ this + 1 Its great to see some sensible feedback. My 09 STi Spec R is my daily and I've also owned other Evos and STi's over my time, but to be honest the GT-R always rings my bells. I've been in an F6 before (passenger only), but TBH the shopping cart interior was disappointing, and the only thing that really stood out was the delicious exhaust growl curtesy of a cat delete.

HAHA Yeah, well, my garage queen is loving the quiet weeks, and the well driven weekends. Didn't pay near $200k, but for sure almost double what a 12 month old F6 is worth (and rightly so), and I reckon I got more than double the value. The waiting game is key to getting a well priced new GTR. I wouldn't care if a VL commie or F6 beat me on the strip. They're still a bucket of 5hit in comparison

Hmmmmm The bunny hopping and mild shudder I get in 1st when cold is starting to bug me - as well as reversing the bl00dy thing up a slightly inclined driveway to get out of the garage is doing my head in trying to find the right acc balance point so that I don't launch into the street, or bunny hop or get that clunking clutch slip noise.... What to do what to do... I wanna keep my warranty, but I hate this shit..

A RWD F6 with a 0-100 @ 5.1sec stock (say 4.5sec "lightly modded" beating a stock GT-R pulling 2 seconds quicker? I think the GTR must have been in sympathy mode (soft launched) So essentially what you're saying is that a $65k F6 can beat a $750k Lexus LFA??!! because the GTR can pip the LFA over the quarter mile Are you on drugs man????
