  1. Wudda u mean? I thought they were all free????
  2. Martin needs to chime on in here
  3. Man, gotta love the FJ cruisers. I've been thinking about getting one of these too, instead of using the bike to and from work (on its 10km round trip)..
  4. http://www.themotorreport.com.au/54883/renault-megane-rs-265-cup-and-megane-rs-265-trophy-808-australian-first-drive-road-test-review ^ this
  5. Evo X's are good, infact the 2013 MR RRP (new) has dropped about $8.9k under revised pricing (http://www.themotorr...res-lower-price) - and for $65k you do get a fair amount of bang for your buck. I've driven my mate's 2010 Evo X and I seriously disagree that it has Exige feel (I own a 2011 Exige S BTW), the Evo X at 1600kgs is no match for the very agile 980kg Exige especially on corner turn in and exit.... Power wise, the Mitsu 2.0ltr motors are good for about 220kwatw, but the DSG clutches max out around 440-450Nm torque. Any more and the tranny's can give you a headache. The 5 speed manual is a far better option if you decide to mod down the line, but of course not offered in MR flavour.. The interior is a bit shopping cart like. Low quality plastics (exactly the same as whats used in the Lancer VR, VRX, etc), and the door colour vs dash colour doesnt seem to match in direct sunlight (the dash is somewhat a blue black plastic, vs the doors which are black black - these parts probably sourced from different suppliers) which did my head in the first time I sat in one... When the 2009 model came out I actually had $$'s down on one, but switched to a Subaru STi Spec R hatch. The STi certainly didn't have the road feel like the Evo X in stock form, but after switching out to a smaller DamD flat bottom steering wheel, that was made better, as well as basic mods such as a Sydney made Hitech ceramic coated turbo back exhaust + K&N drop in replacement filter + Ezyflash tune putting 195kW/510Nm at the wheels - IMO the STi was much more fun being able to DCCD bias the rear and get it stepped out around round-a-bouts and the interior is cleaner with hard wearing plastics (Spec R recaros are brilliant but not for fatties) and the 6 speed box is indestructable.... Don't get me wrong, the Evo X is a great car. As a daily, a family sedan, and something to beat off the usual ricer band wagon, they go well - they go very well
  6. You can import GT-R R35's that are build dated Dec 08 and earlier, but there is a km restriction on them Personal imports still stand, but as you say, proof is required that you've owned the car overseas continuously for no less than 12 months
  7. Hahahaha.. i getz a cigar
  8. Very Nice. Do like the black, but the swirls that appear when you breath on it would do my head in
  9. Yeah, it might be lacking soul, but I was never into drifting and all that jazz. - To be honest I'm 200% happy trading in all that soul for the R35's blistering handling, neck snapping accelleration, and all the bits n bobs that make it a "family" super car (for me).
  10. 2nd handers go for real cheap in the UK. I'd be guessing about AUD$60-70,000k
  11. Can anyone do this "renew" program in Brisbane??
  12. My '10 goes in for its first warranty next week, not mechanically related either. The triangluar rubber housing (where the tweater speaker is) on both passenger and driver's side door has split at the top of the corner of the triangle where the rubber meets the window in the fully up position. Also, I've also found that the internal door lining on the Drivers side door is coming away - seems one of the clips has become sloppy so they're fixing that as well. I only notice this when the window is completely down and I can see right into the door through a 3-4mm gap between the liner and outer door sill. I sent some pics to Mark over @ Moorooka Nissan, and they booked me in for the replacements without question. I wonder if anyone else's GTR has done this, but haven't noticed? Is this a common fault? Both items not quite what I expected from a 100k car...
  13. Its just a shame you're not based in QLD mate......
  14. 2011 you mean..
  15. Thats excellent news
  16. I'm interested to see the results of this pole. I know the US boys tend to do more DIY than any other option.
  17. Congrats man. Have to get the Brisbane R35's out in force one day for a meet n greet + group photo shoot
  18. I honestly think everyone here is negatively contributing.. But that's life, we all have to deal with depreciation.. no offence intended.
  19. I think its a bargain too, but to install it, definitely need the billet oil filler cap, as the stockie sits too high.....
  20. Does it come with the billet lowered oil filler cap and the rest of the accessories? I see there are 2 versions REGULAR STYLE: Requires removal of the throttle body coolant hoses on the 2008-2009 model GT-R. But, 2010 and newer GT-R do NOT have these throttle body coolant hoses, so the brace is a direct fit. BRIDGED STYLE: Does NOT require removal of the throttle body coolant hoses on the 2008-2009 model GT-R, as it has clearance for the hoses and nipples on the throttle bodies. Which one is it? Cheers Wardski
  21. Yeah, a mate of mine just sold his white mint 2011 for $125k yesterday to fund his Audi R8 project. His was totally unencumbered (owned it outright), with 14,xxx kms on the clock... For sure the cars not owing $ and with owners on a mission will go cheaper - I remember when I was searching for my GT-R, most of the 2nd hand 2009's and 2010's I checked out at the time had more $$'s encumbered/owing than the carsales list price, and the owners I contacted sounded like drug dealers...... I still can't complain getting a new 2010 for $138k though... I only owe about $30k on mine, and that'll be gone well before the warranty expires.
  22. Amazingly quick, you don't muck around. How good is your good price?
  23. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH......
  24. Is the strut bar white or Silver???
