  1. Wholy beejesus... so it is true.. The US boys obviously have no clue then.
  2. Not sure why you'd sell just because you got married - if my wife forced me to sell the GT-R I'd soon go pack her bags for her lol..... Unless of course you got the car before you bought a house, in which case you might need that $$ for a deposit
  3. It sure is. If titanium was available when I got mine, I would have nabbed it. I can't complain about the Super Silver. It's still pretty darn awesome
  4. So, I got my GT-R 3rd Dec last year. The service sticker on the window says 2000kms for the first "free" service, but there's no time limit. I've only managed to rack up 1200kms so far as I've been working interstate for a lot of this time, but I am concerned that usually there's a time limit on when the first service should be - eg, most new cars say 1000kms or 1 month (which ever comes first). Am I just being pedantic, and just take it in at the 2000kms mark?
  5. Good stuff mate. I am also interested in the extended warranty especially as the US boys get up to 5 years - a few more years would be good protection for those of us with totally stock cars, seeing as the Tranny seems to be the most expensive weakest link, even on stockies. If Nissan still warrantee yours with the Cobb, then its obviously not been launched with VDC off. Nissan are generally ok with mods IMO, but the moment you do anything nasty in it, then gone. I would recommend you get Nissan's approval in writing too if you can, just in case
  6. I understand that the BB stores everything from 0kms, and this data is downloaded by Nissan at every service - and used against you when you have a warranty claim. http://www.gtr.co.uk...-black-box.html Mind you, I could be wrong - Someone on this thread says up to 40 hrs only, but only the boffins @ Nissan in Japan would be able to give you a definitive answer on this one. http://www.gtr.co.uk...-time-vsdr.html
  7. Thats awesome. Congrats!!
  8. Used 2009's should be priced around the 105-110k mark. I'd take nothing more that that - as well as a copy of the black box print out to see how its been treated. If the owners are changing the price, they've probably underestimated how much they still owe, and realised that they need more $$ to cover the loan payout + fees. IMO black is a biatch to keep swirl free too.. Super Silver, Titanium or Gun metal are way better options
  9. Awesome work. Love the modeling snapshots. Professional job right there.
  10. I used CEVA to get my new 2010 from Magic Nissan in Perth to Brisbane. Could not have been happier. IMO, I'd rather truck it than drive it across the bottom end.. just sayin oh and congrats on your purchase!
  11. I see a gunmetal GTR with H8 TAX plates on Preston Rd Manly in Bris on occasion. I live just up the road. Might drop in for a chat next time I see it
  12. The JDM's just aren't worth it without warranty, etc. So happy with my 2010. Just cracked over the 1000kms
  13. Who slapped who? I thought I just stated the obvious.. A friend of mine did that once helping out a member of a car club - ended up getting carjacked and their pride & joy used in a ram raid not long after. Not saying this guy would do it, but I wouldn't be opening my door for anyone I didn't know when $168k is on the line. Maybe when you've worked your preverbial a55 off to own something that awesome & expensive, you'll share the same feeling. I bet I'm not the only one who is thinking the same way - which probably accounts for the lack of hands raised in this thread.. Oh, and I'm not a "stuck up frazza" driver, and never will be. Have owned nothing but Jap cars all my life.
  14. The US boys have nothing but positive feedback on them. When my stockies are done, definitely going Michelins - and I'll take the added risk of puncture on the chin, vs double the tyre wear rating any day.
  15. Anyone considering ordering these from Tyre Rack in the US seeing as Michelin aren't bringing these down under??
  16. If you really want a go in one, go to a GTR dealership. Just saying, most of the peoples here don't do joy rides.
  17. Best recommendation is to drop into a GTR certified Nissan Dealership. Also you might want the Black Box logs investigated to ensure the warranty is still valid, as well as how many launches the car has done, whether its running aftermarket tuning or if it has been tampered with.
  18. Awesome Wheels mag has lost the plot with their COTY 2011. I might have to switch mags and run with Motor from now on.
  19. Whooopsie So that means that the dealers are throwing $21k on the RRP for onroads and stamp duty and selling for $189k?? Thats insane.

  21. Re-read what I said "Considering the RRP is $168k before onroads and LCT"
  22. Full 3 year Australia wide warranty, and Magic have a sister dealership in Brisbane which I'll be using for servicing. The 2009's are well overpriced, but then there are people out there with HUGE loans on them. I'm sure with all the upgrades on the MY12's (plus warranteed launch control) the MY11s will go for a steal.
  23. $159k on the road. The Oct 10 build (considered a 2011 release) GT-R had been on the show room floor @ Magic Nissan for 8 months, and only 43kms on the clock. Arrived to my door on the 2nd Dec and absolutely immaculate condition. Considering the RRP is $168k before onroads and LCT, I was laughing. Would have liked the extra power and daytime LED's that the MY11, 2012 model has, but beggers can't be choosers!
  24. I just recently bought the very last new MY10 build 2010 Prem Silver GT-R's inc delivery from WA to QLD at a $38k saving on the RRP. Wait till 2012, and the discounts on 2011 prices should be substantial.
