  1. Speaking of a weak analogy Aussiemark, sales figures in the USA from 2008 to Feb 2013 - over 6700 GTR's have been sold. I doubt very much that anything even close to 10% of that figure (670 GTR's) have been sold here in Australia, so the ratio of 1:15 - meaning roughly 450 GTR's sold here in Australia since 2009, is a very very realistic assumption considering they're even rarer than hens teeth on the roads http://www.gtrlife.com/forums/topic/82201-february-2013-gtr-sales-report/
  2. "EXACTLY the implications"? Sounds like your crystal ball is much better than mine. As far as sitting in on one of your classes, I couldnt think of anything more boring and rhetorical, especialy considering you firmly believe Dumb and Dumber saved us from a recession.
  3. The problem with the devaluation of the Yen is that come Election time and the LNP retain power from the red haired muppet, there will be no choice but for the new Government to do the same thing here in order to avoid a full on recession. The preferred basis point for the AUD is around the USD$0.75, and I have no doubt this is where we will be same time 2014. While I'm working the magic ball, any devaluation of the Yen will be short lived and offset by the devaluation of the AUD and thus there will be no change in the fully imported jap car market from what we see today. Many countries watch what Japan Inc does (including Australia). Japan has already suffered through tougher times than many and they've learnt the hard school of knox way to good economic policy.
  4. +1 ^ this Explains why I paid $69k for my first Subaru STi in 2001, and paid $69k for my 2nd Subaru STi Spec R in 2009.. Car manufacturers here set the price and sell at a price regardless of how strong or weak the AUD is against the Yen. Its their risk if there's market fluctuation or they don't sell the Australian bound allocation.. its also interesting to note that aside from 2008-2009 (GFC), there have been no real major fluctuations in Yen vs AUD over the last 10 years.. lots of mild ups and downs all pretty much evening out if you take the mean. http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=JPY&to=AUD&view=10Y
  5. All in the eye of the beholder. My wife loves the GTR sound (with Willall midpipe added)...
  6. The biggest issue with stock is the OEM sub box is ABS plastic... If it was moulded compressed board or even masonite, it would resonate so much better with the Bose subs.. That being said, I don't drive the hood with the ole Doof Doof thing happening trying to pick up chicks - I let the exhaust growl grab the attention instead Looks like a great kit though. ^ as above, drop us some feedback once its all installed
  7. Sam, how good are the stock BPV's at holding boost?? I know on my STi the stock BPV leaked like a sieve at anything over 15-16 PSi, but after getting an aftermarket BPV it held boost so much better to the red line (especially at +19 PSi tuned)
  8. Wudda you mean, I thought we were all serious in here
  9. Imagine how hard that would be on Aussie roads.. Price of this would probably push +$250k
  10. Out of interest, I recall my 2010 having a scraping sound when in gear in reverse before I had the bellhousing replaced under warranty.. Doesnt make the noise now. Sounds like yours is a 2012 model though, so shouldn't have that issue....

    My New R35

Now that's what I want, a GTR R35 that I can hit the track without fear of blowing something up Trip to Willall coming up soon I feel.
  12. Stick with the willall pipe Mark, at least that way you still keep your warranty
  13. Theres a few of us in Brissy too, well worth organising a meet and a drive thru the back roads some time when ever you boys are keen
  14. All yours mate, 11th no good..
  15. how many kms, and has it had the trans/diff oils replaced recently? Could also be running aftermarket oils, which tend to make other noises more apparent
  16. Does anyone know where I could pick up a set of stock match sized Rays VR G2 rims for the GTR? I'm thinking going down this path shortly Hoping that 20x10J +30mm front and 20x11J +15mm rear will do the job
  17. That's better than the Bridgestone RE070A's. I'll be lucky if I get more than 10,000 the way I'm going - and that's without track use!
  18. Michellin super pilot sports come in all the right sizes. Check out www.tirerack.com Highly recommend these as an aftermarket non-RFT tyre These also look good http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Hankook&tireModel=Ventus+R-S3&frontTire=54WR0Z222&rearTire=835WR0Z222&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=Nissan&autoYear=2011&autoModel=GT-R Premium&autoModClar=
  19. Hmmmmmm nah... too much bling bling. If they were anodised black, I'd say yes, but chrome? But each to their own of course! Was it an easy install? do the stockies simply pull off?

    My New R35

The difference here Mr Troll, is that I didn't give one rats a55 about pressure sensors when I bought the car, and I drive it like I stole it. If it happens, who gives a f*ck! Just enjoy!

    My New R35

Nah, Domino's a very cool character, but just like me, hates the trolls on here that don't actually own a GT-R and don't know enough about them to make valid comments ...
