If your GTR is stock, Nissan has a habit of replacing transmissions even if its out of warranty. A mate of mine up here with an early build 2009, warranty expired 4 months before his trans and diff went - both at the same time as the diff failed and locked at high speed taking out the transmission (or vice versa), the local Nissan dealer initially denied the replacement, but a quick letter to Nissan Australia head office about the whole situation resulted in a full replacement free of charge.
  3. I'll be away on business from 15th to 24th Feb
  4. I could offer up a super silver R35 for a shoot, providing its early feb, and excluding Sat 9th Feb, prefer somewhere southside (I'm in the bayside area)
  5. What are you doing posting in the R35 section in SAU then?....

Nup. Transmissions are almost identical in that regard all the way to 2013. With all GT-R's its not a matter of if it will happen, its more like, when it will happen
  7. Good to see another Bris owner on here. Definitely join the club man. Would be nice to hang out with other R35 owners in the same region
  8. Any other movement on this? I'm keen to catch up with other R35 owners in the Bris/Gold Coast/Sunshine Coast region

I seriously hate transport companies all together. While I didn't have issues with CEVA, I had a fuel contamination issue a few weeks back and the GTR had to be tray back transported to Moorooka Nissan for draining. I made sure I taped up the front lip (2 layers) just in case it was scratched. Sure enough, the tape was fully scuffed when I picked it up from Nissan the next day. Luckily there was no damage. The transport used was the GTR Roadside Assist preferred - Wilson Transport - in Brisbane. I do not recommend them, nor will ever use them again!

CEVA isn't bad. Had my new GTR transported from WA to QLD with them. Not a scratch

Speedah did you try the Warranty path with Nissan??? Also another thing, what did the 2011 front end conversion set you back??? I'm considering doing this myself with my 2010
  12. For those hanging to hear the Willall midpipe generated exhaust note, apologies guys. I had a fuel contamination issue over the weekend, now that its fixed will get some vid this weekend Cheers Wardski
  13. Indeed it looks good. Dan does a great job, I just wish he lived in Brisbane
  14. Bugger... If the other guy doesn't buy it, I'll grab it and pay for the 100m of bubble wrap and courier to collect
  15. After seeing the pics of Dan's handy work on the GTR, and with all your other dry carbon highlights, I'm surprised you didnt install it
  16. How does a tune affect the sound?? Interesting Nah no more mods. I am pushing the limits of warranty/no warranty already Gopro Hero3 will be on the car over the weekend. I'll get some exhaust sound/vids for yas.
  17. Ok boyz, no need to hijack this thread GTR is back, still rattles - just quieter. Midpipe - whollymotheroffcuk its awesome!
  18. I'm affraid I'm a stickler for quality workmanship. If anything happens to mine post Dec 2014, I'll be trucking my beast to SA for Martin & the Willall team to play with
  19. You mean you rented one! Ah! Good work champ, I stand corrected on that point. It was about time you got in the seat!
  20. Arthur or Ma Martha when you're telling everyone you can't get a test drive of a GTR in Sydney lol.... I said "yerp you're probably right" but I didn't say I agree with you. Get your context right...
  21. I agree with you so don't stress about people who aren't actually in the game - GT-R OZ doesn't actually own a GTR R35, and has never driven one or dealt with Nissan servicing/warranty issues. Take what he says with a grain of salt I'm good friends with my Nissan service manager. They are very professional. At one point I was getting hourly updates via SMS. If I didn't want them to repair it, It wouldn't be with them
  22. Looks like everything is back on track. GTR returns tomorrow Nothing else damaged during the "drill out" removal of the stripped bolts
  23. Drop the transmission oil pan and look for metal fragments. If anything nasty was going wrong in the trans you'll find debris, plus the GTR trans is pretty sensitive to throwing CEL codes when things start to go wrong. I still think diff bind to be honest. Why it happens going from 2nd to 3rd, who knows. There could be other factors at play, not necessarily related to the gear change from 2nd to 3rd, and turning right. IMO I would start thinking about getting Martin's 2009/2010 refresh kit done. Once my '10 is out of warranty, its the first thing I'll be doing. I'm in no way an expert in all of this, Martin is surely the man to ask/confirm. However I've read enough horror storys on NAGTROC to have a fair idea. Also on the positive side, the fact that you've done 50 something thousand kms in yours without issues is simply amazing and gives me hope!!!!!
