I hope im lucky.. thats the last thing I need... The car still idled and drove completely fine when not putting it under boost after it let go. Car Has no Cat on it, and I was giving it boot when it went bang. So im hoping it just blew out the back. (the rear turbo exhaust wheel went.) For piece of mind I will do a compression test to just be sure.

yea I thought about the -9's for that little more response, but selling the car soon, and the workshop already had these on the shelf. Im sure I will still be happy with the -5's as it will be a improvement over the stock ceramics. Still can't believe I ran 20psi through them.. was lucky they only let go and not back through the motor.. Motor was fully rebuilt 3000km ago. Built to N1 spec, N1 pistons, oil pump, etc etc. so by all means no fully forged motor.. Still okay for 20psi though.

.7 bar is the lowest out of the 4 boost settings on the controller that the tuners set up. Sounds like I'll just put it on that and baby it back to them. Still have standard AFMs so prob make still around the 300ish. But if I get some z32/nismos I've read up these -5s can do 340+ awkw? 19-20psi would be the most I'd run

Right, well that clears that up lol. Is it fine to just plod around in it though until I can get it booked in?

Hi guys To cut the story short, I got told the R32 GTR I bought had Nismo turbo's, so had some work done thinking they were steel wheel turbo's. Had a bit of work done at the shop.. Power FC, boost controller, cam gears, injectors, pump, 302 awkw @ 19psi. 2 weeks later.. Big Bang under boost... white smoke etc... and I found out they ended up being the stock r32 gtr ceramic ones. :\ Not happy as you can imagine... Just had some brand new 2860 -5's Garrett's fitted up over the last week $, and was wondering does it need to be completely re-mapped again? or just a quick re-map on the dyno. Or Is it safe to even drive or give it some stick? Appreciate your advice. Cheers

You can buy them new still from your Nissan dealer, but expect to pay big money. I bought my whole boot interior brand new. From memory those 2 pieces were $180 each lol..

I'm running a OS Giken twin plate in my r32 GTR. Doesn't even sweat with 300rwkw and feels really good.

I decided on getting some 2860 -7s put on to replace my blown r32 nismos. Will they make the same power? I was making 302awkw@19psi with the nismos

After a good set of 2860 -7 turbos. 707160-7. Will pay good money if they are in great condition. No shaft play, low km's etc. pictures. Either reply or just pm me. Thanks!

Yea how many km's on them? By minimal shaft play you mean there still in great working condition?

Hi guys, few bits for sale I dont need anymore R32 GTR fuel injectors x 6. 440cc Perfect working condition. Have been sonic cleaned and flow tested. Only had 3000km on them before I upgraded to bigger ones. Everyone talks about -5s vs -7s vs -9s etc. I presume people referring to the Garrett 2860 when they say this?

GCG have them listed for AU$1,328.80 each.? Can't see anywhere $2095 for 2. I'll keep looking see of anything else is cheaper out there

Thanks for the advice. -7's sound like the go to still have a more responsive 300awkw. The nismo turbos were already freshly rebuilt when I got the car. I guess they couldn't handle 19psi? Any idea on what $$ for labour on a full turbo swap?

Hi guys, Not happy at all but I think I've blown a turbo or turbo's. Engine isfresh. Rebuilt N1 spec motor with 4000km on it. Has Rebuilt R32 Nismo Turbo's. Had some work done, tuned etc. Car is making 302rwkw on 18 psi. Been driving it for 2 weeks since and its been great and fine - no issues, but today I noticed a tiny bit of whit smoke under boost. I didnt think too much of it. But then earlier I drove it, and gave it a bit of a boot. As I did I heard a big bang, with a cloud of black smoke. = not good Now the car doesnt boost at all. Quite undrivable... And if it hits boost, like 3000 or over. Exhaust just pours out with ALOT of white smoke. From all the reading ive done, means a blown turbo or turbo seal. Does this sound like the turbo's have gone? I suppose now I have the option of getting them rebuilt, or buying some new Garrett 2860's or something etc. What do people recommend. $2-3k is probably about my budget.

Yea I still have no clue what it is. I just saw it for sale somewhere and thought someone might know, Its def a R32/R33 console. Just be cool to know if its custom, or some type of cool factory option haha.
