  1. yeah im pretty sure theres no such thing as a garrett .76 rear for those turbos... its just a housing though i dont see how it could be problematic as long as it suits the turbo properly.. it would be a good size though i reckon
  2. i went shopping to start collecting bits for my 25/30 build lol greddy cop plenum, billet fuel rail, 80mm billet throttle body, custom exhaust manifold, tial 44mm gate garrett t04z gt35 vs t04z lol the rb25 head i got and this week some time im gonna buy all the bits to build my bottom end, and ive also got a set of sard 1000cc injectors lined up and ill hunt down an 044 pump or two lol
  3. ok so i got my test light out today and i have power at the ecu plug, however none of the lights on the microtech light up when i turn the ignition on, nor do any of the reds come on, on the dash.. hmmmm?
  4. ill take some soon n post em up.. man i went n had a look at my mates GTR, and that whole section of the loom that you said im missing the ecu harness from... is exactly the same on his car, every plug that i dont have going to anything is the same on his car.. he has it all running on the inside of his guard even cause theres nothing plugged into it except that little box at the front!!?
  5. yeah exactly, i know what its like i have a few mates that are panel beaters/spray painters and i got one mate who runs his old mans shop so ive seen it all lol.. yeah i probably wont end up worrying about the guards too much hey cause i will eventually get the overfenders anyway and yeah im expecting to have to cut up the stock guards to clear wheels anyway
  6. yeah ok cool, and im disagreeing with you and your uncle about the crease in the sill.end of story, we all live happily ever after.. anyway i started beating the drivers side rear quarter dent out and its coming up pretty nice, and i grinded a heap of the bog out from the other side and its not as bad as i thought it would be.. but there has been heaps too much bog used.. ill get it all off and beat it out more then bog it again.. ofr ill just leave it and do the overfenders straight away.. still havnt decided on that yet
  7. yeah i wanna get the thing running first and start taking it to a few drift events.. after all thats what i bought the car for, to have fun in.. i dont care if the body work side of things doesnt get done for a while i just want it running and sliding for now! yeah listen the cars rough, but its not as rough as tweety bird made it out to be.. nothing is bent so in all honesty i dunno what hes talking about or what he saw, it has bog in the passangers quarter and bog in the boot from where the spoiler was removed, and yeah it was a bad bog job! other than that the rest of the car is fine besides half rooted paint and a few minor dings and scratches here and there.. but like i said the body doesnt concern me at the moment.. thats all to come later on oh and i dont pan on having the car registered for a year or so yet
  8. hey guys ive got a lot of wirirng missing in my r32 so its probably easiest for me just to buy a complete loom and take the bits i need from it.. alternatively i need just the ecu harness, and the wiper harness, and theres a few other little bits n peices.. let me know what youve got! thanks justin, 0415477089
  9. haha i know.. i know basics.. im an apprentice mechanic so ive done a lot of electrical stuff at tafe but we only really cover relatively basic stuff.. im just not sure with the r32 whats meant to go where, without it actually being there its not very easy to figure it out lol like id know the wiring in a vl like the back of my hand but the 32 is new to me
  10. yeah its possible that you have some high crank case pressure and it pushed the dipstick out its self thus pushing oil out too

  12. jesus lol, ill have to try and source all that then, ive already got a 25 head so i guess im just gonna have to try and find all the wiring from elsewhere. thanks heaps for the info man yeah ive heard a lot about the nisunes but never used one or known anyone who has, coming from owning a few VL's and being around a shitload of others im pretty farmiliar with the microtech, ive already got it now so ill just stick with that for the time being i think. if i ever went with anything else i think id just go straight to a haltech
  13. ok yeah the hicas is pretty much all gone, spoiler is nothing to worry about, the 3rd pic is fine ive already connected those two.. so the 4th pic is completely missing a peice of the harness??
  14. nah all good man.. yeah im aware of everything man, theres bog ion the rear quarter and the boot, like ive already mentioned this is gonna be a long term build and im most likely going to have overfenders on the rear and probably front anyway. so everything will either get replaced or fixed properly i wouldnt have got the car if i didnt think i could fix it.. but for what i got it for, it was worth it.
  15. got some pics of my wiring mess.. i put power to the two wires sitting there that i figure are positive, and i got one headlight and all the blinkers to work lol, the clock on the dash came on too.. but nothing else worked. no fuel pump no tail lights, nothing dunno what is meant to go to all these plugs but theres nothing there: then theres these two down beside the drivers headlight: the two wires with the conduiit and the terminals are the ones i put power to, im assuming the one on the left is just like the headlight circuit or something, the other one that has the battery terminal goes down straight to the starter, but it doesnt have a trigger wire hooked up anyway so couldnt try cranking it.. but theres obviously meant to be more things that need power. then theres this peice of the loom that comes out of the fire wall and runs along side the strut tower then into those teo big plugs near the front, but it has a tonne of other plugs that go to nothing, not sure what theyre for, i know one of thems for the 02 sensor, not sure about the rest though, maybe some for ac? and possibly some for power steering? both of which i dont have for some reason lol
  16. yeah the battery had been in the boot with the previous engine setup. it doesnt have the white wires your talking about though. yeah i have a microtech lt12s for it but i have an adaptor that plugs into the factory loom so i dont have to change anything i ive noticed a few sensors and things that are wrong or arent plugged in. thanks for the info man if i have any questions when i start getting serious about getting it running ill shoot you a pm or something. cheers. some better pics of my new wheels.. need spacers though the offset is horrible
  17. thanks for that info man ill suss out all those spots. im not exatcly sure what i need yet man as im not really familiar with whats meant to be there and whats not lol, the only thing im sure of is ive got part of the wiring missing where it comes straight off the battery positive terminal.. all ive got there is one wire going to the starter, im sure theres meant to be more wiring that goes to a plug or two off that terminal. also, i bought the car a christmas present =]

  19. thanks mate, a 32 gtr is my dream car pretty much but until the funds permit one this is my toy to play with lol.. it will be a slow process this car but yeah ill get there eventually.. i should have my VL sold soonish i hope so ill start buying some parts for this thing.. i picked up my rb25 head today, so when i go back to work ill take one of my spare rb30 blocks into work and start building it up. cant wait!
