  1. Dont stress man. If it happens it happens.
  2. I did it all on my lonesome..... not easy. Try grinding off some of the rib over the starter motor, you will notice this bit is in the way just before it goes in, or you can bash the trans tunnel with a mallet. I thought my clutch was mis aligned, but no, it was the thrust bearing had slipped and was catching on the shaft. Now you see. NOW YOU SEE! (red dragon)
  3. His engine maybe, your 500kw would fry rubber at less than HALF open i bet. Spotted black 35 GTR in city yesterday arv
  4. No no no, its impossible without real good leverage while your jammed under there and can hardly move your arms let alone get a good strong push/pull. Eiji is just very persistant, and had a very long breaker. Dont forget to be super clean with the clutch, or it may slip. Anyway, the hard bit is getting the box back on, that will test your patience. So be careful with the input shaft, its easy to bash it into the clutch plate or springs while trying to get it into position. Doing the clutch up evenly takes ages too. But worth it. Good luck, hope it goes smoothly.
  5. Should be able to make it.
  6. Yeah, it can be hard to get the room to swing them under there. But your like me.... dont give up easy.
  7. Yes the ol socket on the harmonic balance locks it good. And yes use a torque wrench to do it up properly, its real tight and you know you got it with the torque wrench. If it comes off it can cut your legs off, so dont fk around. Ps, i never got a flywheel off without a rattle gun.
  8. I used original banjo fitting and bolt, modified the line. Dont have original ones? Try asking people for banjos off their old turbos; i have an old rb20 one they might be same as gtr. Or get a good quality line kit; make sure its got all the bits, the expensive one usually do. Edit: GTR? spend the dosh and get the good kit
  9. Thread matching is not that simple. I found Enzed/filter facory had no matching bits in their catalogue for mine, i had the banjo modified. You may have to do this. Try a different brand of fitting. Threads are machined to different tightness, sometimes they dont really go together. If you think there is enough engagement to hold it solid, use teflon tape to seal it.
  10. Not saying your mates dodgy,Its good to get a pro to do it occasionally. Im saying learn how to give love to your car and learn how to do it to a reasonable level. It can be real nice massaging the wax onto the guards, mmmmm......
  11. Good stuff, tucked away from prying eyes. I hope theres a gate or fence hiding it even better. Get some road base (gravel) cos its probly going to live there. Noobs!? Can detail their own car Newb Ps i use "forever a noob?" dogtags on bf3 cos i am after 10 years playing it.
  12. I want: A pair of 32gtr wheels. 32 front indicators (that arent faded and crappy) The bloody creak! in my front end i cant get rid of gone.
  13. And if you cant get.... dont forget DIY Pipe benders, flaring tool, fittings and pipe.
  14. Gave it a bit of a flogging today, very happy with power, clutch, stays cool, but the bloody creak is still in my front right somewhere. after all the f-ing around with bearings n sht. Overall it gets a Thanks Autotech, neat work.
  15. Satin or flat black 32 on bindubi st thisarvo, i was in the ovlov on the way to get mine.
  16. yeah BP is my fav too. I needed it to run my old KTM 360 2 stroke, anything else would foul the plug too quickly. So i decided BP is the cleanest, and only use it in the 32
  17. R32 gtst RB20DET Deatchwerks 650cc injectors Deatchwerks 320 lph fuel pump Yellow jacket coils Z 32 afm bellmouth dump & 3 inch all the way big fmic Nistune Rb 25 turbo @ 14 psi 180 killerwasps on a safe tune ( a little rich)
  18. Got my car on the road again So ill see you guys friday, Grevillea or ANU? Doesnt matter ill see both anyway.
  19. Yes, very good. Normal clutch is awesome to have again. Sounds a bit different too. Oh and Sklyn, be ready for some freezing when you get here.
  20. Ahhh.... earthing helps. Auto temp for thermos doesnt work properly, back to using a switch.
  21. I made a mistake re-wiring the gauges, oil temp 150 goes up and down a little with revs, afm shows full lean on a rich tune, then full rich for a sec. Should be easy enough to figure out, if i take the time too look and not just assume what wire is what. On the plus side i got a nice smooth power curve, thanks ed at autotech
  22. Going to get it now.... 180 killerwasps. Hope theres lots of dry road.
  23. Wet roads, traffic and a sport bike.
  24. Possibly. I remember the old Datsun boxes were soft. And mine has metal fragments(chunks) every time i change the oil. How good is it?
  25. No more dive in. DIY drive in: Paddock or carpark, screen(side of a building or something),projector, generator, and some wires for sound n stuff. Wheres a carpark next to a big unlit white wall? One thats empty at night.
