  1. A victory in the war with perspex, the second operation was successful. After strategic use of the texta and ruler, the heatgun softened up the enemy before an assault with snips to finish it off.
  2. DIY? You need: To take the flywheel to get machined, so if they cant do it straight away it holds up the job.(machining takes about 1/2 hour) Compressor and rattle gun to get it off. and the usual jack, stands, tools, etc. I have an alignment tool if you need it, standard nissan 24 tooth, works for gtst. Mine was an utter utter bastard, as theres not much room and you need to sort of twist and push and lift to get it in. GTR may be better with clearance but will for sure be heavier. Recommend getting a mate to help with the wrestling. The benefits of DIY are you can take the time to do a perfect job, double check it and sleep well.
  3. Hopefully it wont last long, and the guys at Dickson will get swamped, they will have to pass on the work to others..... so you can go see that guy again and get it passed. But if they can make it work, it will be a serious problem.
  4. And no dodgy crap to fix from idiot modifiers.
  5. Making a cold air box moulded from a piece of perspex. Im sure it will go in if i just push a bit harder...... Is this what they mean by "Aww snap!" ? Oh well, take 2 tomorrow, now with nice templates for the shape.
  6. Thats true, hahaha! dint think about that. Pulling out a cover in any carpark would be fairly wanky. I think in an undercover park, people will think your deranged.
  7. Some threads fixed this morning. Called Autotech. Its on the home stretch now, just putting radiator and stuff back on. The only conundrum i have is intercooler pipe vs intake pipe. So i just need to get the right size/bend bit of pipe and im done. Then tow to Hume in a couple of weeks. Might use that time to do some ducts or something. Rik, you shoulda seen my clutch, surgical gloves used so no contamination, everything perfect and soooo clean it would have even been good enough for yours.
  8. New injectors done the other night. Installed new fuel pump today. Deatchwerks, fits like oem (apart from making a slight bend in fuel pipe) and the wiring is awesome cos it solders then plugs straight in. Also done plug for Z32afm. So just have to put some bits back together now. I think im ready to book some time at Autotech. AT LAST! They should be able to fix/tune all the tech stuff, and make sure my work is ok, thus making it run good.
  9. That does not look like a photo. It probably doesnt exist. Make one?
  10. No mobile thread repair guy? We have a guy in Canberra who does it. Or Melbourne has awesome public transport compared to the rest of us. Have to do it properly and take the head off.
  11. How about a $40 car cover? They cant see sht then, they cant see rego or number plate. Just cover your defects and rego when parking. And some kind of alarm so they cant f&@k with it. Or tiny locks so it cant be moved without breaking something, and if they do that....... well, you can imagine.
  12. Pulled the old injectors out, found one seal twisted and another split to bits. Must have been leaking there, a manifold leak next to the injectors, great. So whoever put those in used a hammer. Sometimes i see the sht thats been done to my car and i wonder how its still going. I guess Nissan is tougher than i thought. So i guess when im finished there should be a good power gain.
  13. Edit: Will fit R32, I just dont like the way it goes in. Going with alternative pump.
  14. Bosch 040 in-tank fuel pump for sale. Brand new in box. Wont fit R32gtst. Too tall. Going cheap. Make an offer.
  15. Dont rely on mechanics to get it right, read your adr's. The adr's on your compliance plate are the ones you have to comply with. Hole for pipe needs i think... 3mm reo plate, welded on 100-150 mm all sides from hole. Something like that, cant remember details. Not all rules make sense for specific purposes, some are there for general principals. The hole in that spot on that car may not make the car any weaker, BUT, they want it done anyway cos they cant be that specific in the rules.
  16. HEL brake lines done today. And some more stickers. Good thing its off the road, RTA, and cops blitz on defects by the looks of it.
  17. Maybe you need a tool you dont have, to get to the bolts another way. Have you thought about if you had the right extension or ratcheting ring spanner you could get it? I mean manifold then other bolts, i dont know GTRs so im only imagining how it works. Oh...... just read the manual. its for GTR. pages EN 68-70 I dont know how to put it up here You have a copy dont you?
  18. Sort of makes Canberra a safe place......... when the zombie apocolypse comes, nothing will change here.
  19. How much brain damage can you take before you become as brain dead as the average ACT driver? Lobotomy time. I swear ive seen them drooling as they stare straight ahead clenching the wheel. They need automatic driving cars or something.
  20. Its a bit much to get used too hey! haha its like then too fast! And on those big bore bikes it feels like a train engine with all that torque. When you own one your brain gradually becomes able to handle it. Its weird how things look at those speeds, its like as you accelerate, space warps around you.

  22. Made the clear cover fit properly. Thanks dremel tool, id be lost without it. The delete plug would be easy if my car wasnt rusted together. Dremel to the rescue again. [
  23. Voted, hope yous win and get in.
  24. See you there, Bring a window plug for me?
  25. Im ready to go.... Back in reality....still got a bit of work and a tune to go, so i dont know if ill get there.
