  9. Depends which gears i guess. The old holden v8 diffs must have big gears and room to do it, cos it worked well for ages, its not suprising cos they are simple and big. I know squat about LSDs, and he didnt tell me jack yet so.... monday, Dan i guess ill find out what he can do. What are you talking about GTSBoy, shimming the gears or the clutches? I like to know which ideas are crap so i dont get burned. Anyway its definately rooted, sounds worse after an oil change.
  10. My diffs getting worse so ill see youse guys another time. Doesnt matter, neither did i, untill i went a few times. Anyway they are all nice dudes who are into cars n stuff. So just go man
  11. Yeah all my mounts and things are good, solid mounts, engine damper etc just been done, driveshaft is a new one piece with big unis. When im under the car (on stands) with the handbrake on and in neutral, the axles are locked from the handbrake, but the driveshaft still has play, but stiff play, if you know what i mean? I know you can shim the lsd clutches, but In the kingswood he shimmed the gears back in position (no lsd) ill ask him what the go is with this. Not keen on a crappy centre, though ill see how many $$$. Thanks Mat.
  12. Rang him but he was busy, he said something like "cant shim it, put racing centre in" I wonder what a "racing centre" is (lsd?) and how much it costs. ill find out later. I found chunks in the black sludge on my drain plug, so its not going to last too much longer. Most aftermarket centres are about $800-$1600, i dunno if its worth getting a used one or rebuilding mine. If it can be rebuilt. Hopefully Rob(Diff Dr) has a solution thats cheap and awesomely strong(clever guy), hes done it before.(my r32 driveshaft, the kingswood diff) Does anyone know if they can be rebuilt?
  13. Mine does it a bit too, i think its play in the diff, it needs shimming, Im gonna ask Diff Dr. Does yours sort of slap back and forth when not clutching properly? How about humming at high speed? Mine does. Hes asking if anything is loose, like where the diff bolts on to the car, easier to fix than a diff centre. You can get a good suspension place to check most of that. I just had mine all done so its not that. If your diff is like mine ill keep you posted about what Diff Dr says.
  14. If you get the GTR manual on pdf, somewhere, cant remember where, The steering diagnostic flow charts start on about page 580. It looks like theres a few things it could be, but its sort of complicated, so read that, it should help. I know its GTR but it would be similar if not the same. Anyway theres no HCR32 manual in english that i can find.
  15. For sale: $150 Set of Driftworks braides lines for 32 GTR (pretty sure, may fit others) Front and rear brake lines out of packet, unfitted. A bag of 6 retainers. Clutch line still in bag, Note: Input thread into slave cylinder is the same size as a brake line thread. Clutch line may suit other Nissans as well. Selling because they sent the wrong kit for my 32 gtst, and im sick of arguing with them over it.(over a week of bullsht)
  16. Something in the way, On which side? engine or interior? Cant you take it off? I had to take off a plastic cover under the dash, you can use a piece of stiff wire to start it through or the thin strip of metal on wiper blades is really good, this helps as there is foam and tape to get through.
  17. Cool, ill drop in. How late you guys going to be there?
  18. Just got her back from Inline, The roads drying up, Anyone gunna come out tonight?
  19. Ive been following this thread, Brad, dont worry man, Everyone can see whats going on. So one guy cant handle the realities of life and blames you as well. Seems you have learned one good lesson though; dont lend tools to tools. Ha! Yeah its probly time to close the thread.
  20. Hmmm.. That sounds interesting, would like too see the report to compare to my car. See if i have to fix something. And see what can be legal.
  21. I was sent braided lines for the front of an R32gtst but they dont seem to fit. Anyone know what they are for? Also does anyone know the thread size for the line into the clutch slave cylinder?
  22. Any bosch around 500cc, top feed, high impedance. How much? For rb20det, dunno if its 11 or 14mm. Anyone know?
  23. Ha ha! dont tell him i told you!
