  1. Cant get Nistune done here, i got quoted $3200 for a new Haltech setup with map sensor and tuned, im sure its good but too expensive for me. He also recommended bigger injectors, more $$$. Maybe i have to take it to Sydney for a Nistune? Is the Nistune up to the job? How well can it be tuned? This is turning out to be much more difficult than i thought, so ill tell you whats on my car and maybe you (Sydney tuners) or someone you know can tune it properly. R32 gtst manual (converted from auto) Fmic Rb25 turbo Unknown cams (probably tomei poncams) Pod filter Cat back exhaust Thermo fan Should i get: Split dump 3" cat Adjustable cam gears Bosch fuel pump Or what bits do you guys recommend? I would go to Sydney if ican get it done properly in one go. Want to do it ALL for under $4000.
  2. Hmmmm... Well shes running rich and i never rev it over about 5000. And i live in canberra so im limited to what the local tuners can tune, waiting to hear back from them. I would pay for an apexi. Well see about nistune.
  3. Im looking for a computer for my 32 Gtst but it is so hard to find anything that isnt a big $ racing set up. I dont want to flash the chip cos its expensive in the long run (retune everytime i change somethig) and no handset with all the cool stuff on it. Apexi power fc is what i want but its very hard to find, nearly got a new one from a bloke in japan, but it was put in some show car, so close yet so far. Does anyone know about Link G4? They say i can get one but ive never heard of anyone using one on a 32 Gtst. I think the motor is really lacking without it, considering the cams and turbo are upgraded.
  4. Belco roolz man! But seriosilly, somewhere dry and well lit would be nice. Not a pay park though.
  5. Hes on new meds. Loves his supra.
  6. Yeah and i wont bring my..... mate this time. Hes usually pretty mellow. 9:30?
  7. On dirt! 1 hour! You are a DIY master. Your Kung Foo is strong.
  8. If you got the gear, cool, sounds like he dont even have stands. I gotta do earthworks n paving before i can get under mine. Wish there was still hire a workshop, that was cool.
  9. When the gearbox comes off you can see how thick the friction plate is (how much is left like brake pads). Even if there is an inspection hole you probably cant see how much is left, BUT if you can see it you will be able to make a decision whether to buy a new clutch before the box comes off, heaps better. So try hard to look. Its worth it. Putting it in yourself is difficult because you gotta lift the car high and the box is heavy and you need a clutch aligning tool (gearbox input shaft) I love to DIY but this job is a pain and if you need the flywheel machined etc... too much hassle, maybe you should get a shop to do the work AND get the clutch and all that. Its just gunna cost and your gunna have to pay. PS: go over your adjustment one more time and really make sure its right.
  10. Noo.. thats the kind of thing ive got. Its no good, i dont know why people would fit a clutch that doesent slip properly. I didnt fit mine it was on the car. See on just jap the pbr oem replacement, it has a circular friction plate. Like that but get the heavy duty one, its like the standard one just a bit stronger.... perfect. Dunno who makes one for you.
  11. Want to buy a front bar for my 32 gtst, looking for something with a big hole for cooling like the GTR one or an aftermarket one. Always looking for bits. Got any?
  12. What kind of clutch? How old is it? or how much wear do you reckon its got? Did you ever have it replaced? if so what was done? I got a brass button clutch (it sux) and its sometimes noisy when i slip it. (grindy whine sound).
  13. 9:30 is the time officially but people turn up at 10:30-11 sometimes cos their working or whatever.
  14. I got my 32 gtst cheap cause it was rough, but this is my cheap jap sports car that i can mod in the backyard. Its a bit of a s-box but I love it. Do you love yours?
  15. For sure, ill be there, holidays over, should be some more peeps showin up.
  16. Well then you need the tools, materials and a bit of imagination. You could relocate it with bends and hose. Try a plumbing shop. Copper water pipe is rated to very high pressure. There is heaps of stuff you can do with copper pipe and hundreds of different fittings for it. Get it all worked out and get someone with an oxy to solder it for you. Then you dont need $$$ nissan hoses HOWEVER.... do the maths you will probably find all the messing around gets expensive too. Deleting it with custom bits is by far the cheapest option Major hint when doing this kinda stuff Keep it simple.
  17. I got it on my old 32, im going to look at all those suggestions tomorrow. but it makes me think about all the bits that bolt together in that area that would be affected by movement, like the guards, side skirts, maybe a metal brake line or something small. Also gotta remember these cars are lightly built; try to jack it from the fake chassis rail and watch it bend. So your suggestion about cracks makes me worry. Sometimes spot welds can break easy too. How is the underside of your car? mines a bit rough. I hope mines a squeaky bonnet. That sounds the easiest to fix.
  18. Hey there, I should put my car in so here goes... Before i bought it.. R32 GTST RB20 RB25 turbo Unknown cams, maybe tomei, (came with old cams and turbo as spares) Ford fmic (you should have seen the dodgy plumbing omg!) Manual conversion 3" cat back exhaust, pod filter Pedders suspension. Dodgyness everywhere Ive done.. Headlights, indicators Made a bracket for bumper and intercooler Fmic plumbing Thermo fan (old one broken) HICAS locks Steering wheel Guages(oil temp, fuel mix), stereo, amp, speakers and new parcel shelf One piece tailshaft Silvers suspension Strut brace. Oil catch can. Sump plate Repaint wheels Before the Skyline nats i wanna.. New radiator and fmic Split dump & 3" cat Computer (Not easy to find one) Bosch in tank fuel pump Adjustable timing gears Paint, or a body kit, or something to clean up the appearance.
  19. People always whinge about the extra cops on the road during the nats; however you should be more worried about the professional car thieves that this event attracts. I always drive my s-box ute to the nats. Ive seen all kinds of wierd stuff stolen from cars, like bodykits and seats. One of my mates had half an exhaust ripped off. The pros will have an ecu and or harness to bypass your immobiliser and alarm, and they will break any steering lock. Look after your baby. Nice sports cars should live in garages.(mines not but i don t have a GTR)
  20. How much for apexi AVCR? thats boost control isnt it? Do you still have fmic if so how big is it?
  21. Sik thanks. One of the many helpful members showed me how to pm. SAU Rocks!
  22. Dagnabbit! the best bits gone, but theres always something. My 32 is missing lots of bits. I would like to come see the garage sale. dunno what this pm thing is so can you ring or text me and tell me when and where? 0424 617 869 i need all kind of little things and like to pick up cheap goodies.
  23. Can anyone please tell me which wires are for the outside temp sensor? Bottom circle is where the wiring for the horns go to. Top circle, I dont know what these wires are for. Dont know what all the plugs are for either. The sensor has two black wires so i dont know if polarity matters. Heres a picture of the plug if you can tell me which way it goes.
  24. Got r32 gtst rego muffler if u need
