  1. Hmmmmmm care to share who/where/when?
  2. Yeah but its too much mucking around going for a HKS turbo. I am unsure if most of these turbos will fit in the stock location Thats why I think the high flow idea is better.. Australian manufacturer, warranty, etc.....
  3. Just consider yourself lucky, they only erecting your wiper blades. At leats they aren't scratching it!!!
  4. Well the ecu should pick that up and shut down the engine before that happens? right? the same risk is taken when u buy any fuel pump...
  5. I have been quoted from GCG: Stage 1 = $2250.00 Rated @ 400hp Stage 2 = $2450.00 Rated @ 450hp, does require other mods i.e. intercooler, fuel, etc
  6. You will much these little hot starlets But the GTiRs might have you
  7. Yeah but I am on a budget......... it comes with a warranty
  8. High flow involves: Turbine Wheel - replaced and upgraded with a inconel(steel) wheel , either stage 1 or 2 Compressor Wheel - replaced and upgraded with T04 wheel, either stage 1 or 2 Bearing Pack - replace with an XTR ball bearing package Turbine Housing - machine to accept either of the larger wheels Compressor Housing - machined to accept either of the larger hi flow wheels Wastegate Actuator - standard or upgradeable to have higher boost pressure as standard
  9. Hello :D What model u going to buy? You will enjoy your purchase
  10. IS $280 a good price for a 2nd hand R33 GTR fuel pump? How much more flow do these pump compared to the stock GTS25T one?
  11. The problem is that most ceramic turbos are "on their way out" Think about the car being around 7 years old, and most people don't buy a performance car to drive around slowly in. Most if not all import performance cars have been thrashed in their lives! Thats just part and parcel of buying an import. Perhaps if you wanted to drive a car slowly then a holden would of been more suited to your needs
  12. Yes I will be upgrading the fuel pump, getting a powerFC and also the injectors. I already have the FMIC. But I just want to know about the turbo and if it will be efficient for 250rwkw
  13. Hi, I am currently looking into getting GCG to high flow my current turbo (R33 GTS25T). This high flow involves: Turbine Wheel - replaced and upgraded with a inconel(steel) wheel , either stage 1 or 2 Compressor Wheel - replaced and upgraded with T04 wheel, either stage 1 or 2 Bearing Pack - replace with an XTR ball bearing package Turbine Housing - machine to accept either of the larger wheels Compressor Housing - machined to accept either of the larger hi flow wheels Wastegate Actuator - standard or upgradeable to have higher boost pressure as standard. There are two stages: Stage 1 = $2250.00 Rated @ 400hp Stage 2 = $2450.00 Rated @ 450hp, does require other mods i.e. intercooler, fuel, etc My goal is 250rwkw. Do you think that this highflow turbo will handle this power? Should I go for the 400hp or 450hp solution? Has anyone else had their turbo highflowed? Thanks in advance
  14. croydan??? were do you go instead?
  15. A really?? I didn't even know of another place local Sweet I might take it down there and show them tommorrow Thanks man
  16. yeah its off to croydon this week
  17. [q]as for the whine, id be checking exhaust gaskets for any leaks and do a once over on all hoses. it wont cost you much to replace the vacuum lines and on a 10 or so year old car it is a good idea.[/q] I have checked the hoses 10 times... And the smoke test didn't show up any leaks! Yeah might take it to croydon
  18. OK well I just got my car back from *cough* toy sports *cough* And here's the deal: They did a smoke test and found one little hose with a tiny tiny leak, this was rectified but it still sounded like a hair dryer in the engine bay on boost So they took it up to the dyno so they could run in under load and try to find the problem. The noise is coming from the turbo and is apparently not a leak but a whine. The factory computer is showing faults and they reset it. Did another power run on high boost and the computer is boost cutting at 9.2psi! :Q For some reason the computer just wants to keep boost cutting at 9.2psi!!!!! And even after you reset the ecu it still chucks a pshyco :Q So the verdict from *cough* toy sports *cough* the ecu is shit itself and the turbo is on the way out!
  19. anyone?
  20. Only when its hot? I think it might be your plugs then.... Try replacing them, maybe they are farked or have the wrong heat range
  21. bump....... i am also after this info
  22. Where is the ideal place to mount the catch can in the engine bay?
  23. Has anyone actually done it? I don't think my balls are big enough to say it to them
  24. Thats an interesting point you make there SydneyKid I got pulled over by push bike cops a few months ago. They told me they are doing an operation in the area and I have to go to the pits. They issued me with a special piece of paper stating that if I didn't go to the pits imediately then they would cancel my license and rego I don't know if that piece of paper is a bluff or if they are really able to do that :Q
