  1. hi everyone, hoping someone has a oem grille lying around for my 2001 300gt 4 door andrew 0418 576 088 or PM me thanks!
  2. yeah I like to think so. I am probably a bit older than a few others on the forum though - I bought the Porsche as a gift to myself for my 40th. The 928's are cheap to buy. Considering that they were around the $150-200k mark when they were new depending on options, they are an absolute bargain at $15-20k now. Earlier models (which are still very nice) can be had for around $10k. The catch of course is VERY expensive repairs and servicing, but if you can do a bit yourself you'll save a heap. It's not the fastest car I have owned (R36 takes that honour) or the best handling (RX8) but I still get a thrill every time I see it. At the end of the day I love cars - all cars really. And a mention must be made of the skyline, which has to be the best daily driver I have had.

  4. I think it is 37 Malvern St or something like that - it's the place with lots of Skylines parked outside it.
  5. Import Revolution Malvern St Bayswater - Nuwan 0422 807 393
  6. My 300GT has a single exhaust - I thought it was only the 350's that had dual exhaust? Could your noise be a wheel bearing? Is it on one side of the car or both?
  7. Hi Guys, After reading many recommendations for Import Revolution on this forum, I got my car serviced by Nuwan on the weekend. What a great guy. I am used to shops trying to rip you off at every opportunity, but I cannot say enough about the service I received from Nuwan. The price was very reasonable, but the advice he gave me about servicing the car and some audio questions I had, were free. He was willing to spend as much time with me as he could - you just don't get that these days. Wouldn't go anywhere else - show him your support. Cheers Andrew
  8. Looks like a prick to change gears!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. I always wanted to write that in a post title. Just installed this auto knob in my V35 - took a little bit of modification, but not too difficult. All up about an hour. Looks pretty good I reckon - far better than stock. Cheers Andrew
  10. Hi guys - I think I need to replace discs all round but before I buy the parts, was wondering if it is an easy job or not? I have never changed the discs on a V35 before - is it the same as any other car or is there some hidden trick I should know about? Thanks Andrew
  11. Chris - done. thanks for that. Did you want to PM me details. Thanks Andrew
  12. I have decided to keep my stock bose system - tired of looking for fascia kits etc etc. but I need an FM band expander because light FM with its spiritual messages about Jesus is doing my head in. Can I buy an ebay cheapy or do I need one a) for a V35, or b) for a V35 with a bose HU? Thanks guys. Andrew
  13. Hi everyone, I really want to get rid of the minidisc player in the centre console - is there any particular trick to this? will I need to remove the console altogether or will the unit come out pretty easily? Also while I am at it, is it possible to remove the CD Rom in the compartment above the glovebox? I know this is for the sat nav, but will removing it have any adverse effect on the TV unit? It looks like a b*tch to remove.... Andrew
  14. Thanks Alex. Found the tow loop and got the car out no probs. Thanks again Andrew
  15. Thanks for that. Not sure I have seen the tow hook - hopefully it is there!
  16. Hi Guys - I have got my car bogged (I live on a sloping block and there is lots of gravel and dirt). Fortunately I have a winch so I will be able to get the car out but I can't work out where to attach the strap at the front of the car. It must be towed from the front. I thought there might be a hook or loop like on some other cars. Anyone know where I can attach the strap safely? I need to get the car out asap! Thanks Andrew
  17. It was raining this morning and I came around a corner I have driven plenty of times before. I wasn't going quick but the back stepped out and caught me completely by surpirse. Before I knew it I was sliding sideways into oncoming traffic. That was just too close for comfort so at lunchtime I went down and bought new tyres. I went for Nexen N6000 235/45/17 all round for $130 a corner. They had some 50 series Kuhmo's but they were over $200 each. In terms of looks, you can't really tell the overall diameter is slightly less - it doesn't look wierd at all. And i checked the speedo against the GPS and it is out by about 4-5 kms at 60kph. Tyres feel so much better already. Thanks for your advice guys.
  18. I was worried about that. Might see what is available in 50 series.
  19. Cool thanks for that. I guess I also love the staggered look. I have found Dunlop DZ101's 225 and 235 for $157 a corner. Dont you think 235 might be a bit too wide for fronts? I could get the same deal for 235 all round.
  20. I understand that the rims are all the same 7.5 inches all round, but given it is a rear wheel drive isnt there an advantage having bigger rubber at the back?
  21. so they put the worst tyres on my car for the RWC when I bought it. Not too bad in the dry but downright dangerous in the wet. it currently has 215/55/17 which I think is the standard size. I am thinking about 225/45/17 on the front and 235/45/17 on the rear. Anyone running a staggered setup like this? any change in handling?
  22. Might have to chuck a jerry can in the boot and go for it. I was on empty for ages yesterday, and the trip computer said I had less than 50kms left. When I filled up it took 61 litres. Something is not right here. It cannot be an 80l tank if the trip computer says there are only 50kms left and yet it still has 19 litres int he tank....
