Rb30et had no intercooler standard and they didn't sht themselves. If it used to be running a gt30, that would be harder on the motor than the little r33 7psi setup.

N/a+t Power Results - N/a +t Turbo Conversions Only
ANT_32 replied to N-DAWG's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
MODEL: R32 gts ENGINE: RB20DE Mods/ parts: R32 gts ecu and injectors. EBay intercooler kit. S1 rb25 turbo. Pod filter. BOOST: 12PSI FUEL: mostly 98 unleaded. Standard 92 in country tassie when times are tough lot. Power: don't know but beats modified V8 commodores and wrx's at powercruise. Other notes: have now done 30,000kms thrashing the fu#k out of the old girl. Held back on posting a review for a couple of years because I don't want to give bad advice to people. It's now been tested and all I can say is that a turbo setup on a Na with a standard turbo ecu with turbo injectors has the same reliability as a standard turbo engine. Will try to get to a dyno soon. cost: approx. $1000 (turbo, manifold, water and oil lines) $400 (ecu and injectors) $200 (exhaust downpipe, custom intake) $300 (other sh#t) $100 -
R32 Rally Car Diff Enquiry
ANT_32 replied to Sanouske's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
If it's a Na r32 diff it'll be an open r200 4.3 ratio. You can swap a diff centre out of any r200. You just need to shim everything correctly. Don't reckon you need a shorter diff because mine used to be Na and it's really not that bad. -
I had this problem. It was the gasket between the turbo and the exhaust manifold.

R33 Gtst Diff For R32 Gtst
ANT_32 replied to TTT's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I done pretty much the same conversion but using an s14 diff. You need to use your old 4 bolt back cover and use r33 /s14 front mount bolts or buy longer bolts for the front mounts as the non bush types are an inch shorter. Other than that it's pretty simple just got to know if you need to get an abs one or not as GTSboy said -
Yeah im only after the one

I am looking for a drift tek 17x8 +34 9 hole 114.3. Don't care about paint or rash. Thanks

So I Un-Turbo'd My R32 Gtst And Its Running Rich
ANT_32 replied to IM-32-FK's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You said its got a non turbo computer? What colour are the injectors? pink or red? Also a rooted o2 sensor will cause this. -
Anyone got a pair of 5 bolt drive shafts laying around? Also still after an r32 drivers seat belt. Thanks
-
I'm after a drivers seatbelt for my r32. Will pay for poastage if not local. Text me 0400936486

I'm keen too I think cruises should be a more regular thing in tassie. This will be a great opportunity to meet everyone.

I need a rb20 gearbox for my r32. In good condition. Launceston area prefered but will consider anywhere. Please text me 0400936486

i dont think you can if its just the long motor and it has already been turbo. Not really sure.
-
Sorry just found a better site that states the unit lol 129degrees C @ 15psi http://www.heat-transfer-fluid.com/pdf/techpapers/pressure-boiling-point.pdf
-
Well I'm guessing there is a blockage in the turbo line then. So when the motor is turned off and has no flow the coolant in the turbo boils. Been studying a bit and found coolant boils at about 240 ish degrees give or take with pressure etc. Turbos get hotter than that. So it would be possible especially if you was giving it heaps before turning off I reckon.
-
Coolant is at 40% I will do a leak down test later in the week. Hopefully it might show something.
-
Well the on a turbo hose you put your hand on it (with a rag obviously) and you can feel it sort of vibrating as the bubbles are going past. Also when radiator cap is opened while the noise is happening it will spit and fart at you. However it is almost as though the water is boiling as it does not use any water or over heat. Been driving it for over 5000km like this now and nothing has happened yet.
-
I reckon head gasket. I bleeded mine twice so I know it's more than just air in the system.
-
I have this sound! Its air bubbles in a coolant hose somewhere. From your turbo or heater probably like mine. Im still not sure what is rooted though ha ha but been driving it for a few weeks and nothing hapened yet. Maybe a slightly rooted Head gasket ?
