  1. not quite josh, its 0433 700 139
  2. id use hamish as well, he detailed my old car and picked the resprayed panels in about 3 seconds flat. i can pm you his number if you like
  3. reading his info he has a silvia, i think he wants to swap the sr for and rb20 and is wondering if the sr box will bolt up to the rb. but as said before you need to change the bell housing to do it
  4. they way it shakes around when in gear leads me to believe its fairly stuffed. i think ill pull the box out and replace both the input shaft and thrust bearings for good measure. unless anyone knows of anything else it might be? oh and i assume that the input shaft bearing is like other cars in the 34, that is you have to crack the case open to get it out, it cant be done through the front of the bell housing?
  5. you're best of talking to a lawyer about the victims of crime stuff, but i have heard of people being payed out for ridiculously minor things. surely something could be done if you've had your car stolen and stripped. just go find a lawyer offering a free first consultation and see what they say
  6. silver r35 on port road, just before i killed my gearbox
  7. i was driving in traffic today when my gearknob started rattling all over the place (3rd gear) it always did it a little bit, but when this was really noticable i thought it was going to jump out of gear. when i got home i got under the car whilst it was idling and there was the noise of a rooted bearing coming from the gearbox. so i was wondering whether its likely to be the thrust bearing or the input shaft bearing? the noise disappears when i push the clutch pedal in, which has me thinking its the input shaft bearing
  8. ive just finished looking into this and basically depends on what you are gunna use the car for. if its your daily then rubber bushes are the way to go. if your gunna track it often and can put up with a bit more vibration on the road then go the pillowballs. as with johnny i'd recommend the rubber bushes
  9. mine makes a noise as well, its not really to much to worry about until it becomes a really loud metallic noise, then its toast.
  10. unless the pedal feels really soft and spongy bleeding the lines probably wont make a difference, with the km it has and the fact that very few skylines have been babied there whole life i also think its probably a worn clutch. im kinda in the same boat actually, my clutch is worn and as such the engagment point is about 10/15mm from the end, instead of about 25mm where it would be with a good clutch. its still perfectly drivable, just have to be a little more carefull and not slip it away from lights etc. ps. in my last post i meant to say pull type will be higher than the traditional push type
  11. i put the front stands under the engine cross member, and the rears on the subframe near where the rear lower controls arms bolt up. though i am more comfortable using ramps if the wheels dont have to come off
  12. if you have a 94 gtr you have a pull type clutch like in my r34. they tend to have a higher engagement point than the traditional pull type. how many km are on the car? do you know if its the standard clutch? if it turns out to be worn as well then this will make the engagement point higher. hope this helps
  13. thrust bearing cost about 60 bucks, but if your not capable/comfortable pulling the box out to install it you might be looking at 400 or so in labour
  14. black r34 on the pat frontage at glenelg, tryed to give you the thumbs car looked good mate. also saw sean ^ get pulled over in his driveway
  15. ive been wondering this for a little while, was leaning more towards the adjustable arms but my question is whether there is much of a difference or benefit between the rubber bushes on the arms or pillowballs?? any help appreciated
  16. 10 kilo coilovers would be 560 pound i think?? im going with bc br coilovers in an 8kg/6kg combo. at first i was skeptical that they'd be to stiff but after talking to lots of people its seems they'll be fine and they have 32 damper settings to make them as hard or as soft as you want.
  17. ah i maybe should have mentioned i drive 90 mins a day on pretty average roads (adelaide), and have no plans to track the car in the future
  18. hamish is a good friend of mine, (the ve in there is my old car) he does engine bays and interiors aswell and as mentioned has great pricing, trust me you wont be dissapointed ps. he even cleaned and coated my splash guard cause he's such a little perfectionist
  19. sorry still in the newb stage here, but you guys havent had any problems using the bc br's in dailys, i was looking at getting them for my r34 in the 8/6 combo but after driving a friends silvia was wondering wether they'd be bone jarringly stiff like his were. thanks
  20. hi im looking for a catback to fit my r34, and a decat pipe if anyones got one they want to get rid of, if not ill be buying an xforce stainless system in a couple of weeks
