  1. it does require a GTR bonnet but Viva make them also to fit a Gtt, i just happen to already have one
  2. so far so good, I haven't had a chance to test fit the rear bar, but the front bar ligns up well, its made from decent fibre glass and has lots of flex in it too. The front bar appeared to be too wide at first, but once we flexed it into place and put a screw in it held well. Viva garage has a lot of good feedback and was recommended to me by someone who is mad keen on that "fresh fitment - hella flush" stuff lol.
  3. Thanks mate Yes my times did improve dramatically, but thats because I came back with Semi slicks, and sway bars, I dropped down to 1:30. (5 seconds better) but yes will be starting with a proper alignment, and yeah looking into shock works suspension, but more keen for some decent brakes at this stage (so much moneys!!!) so currently my exhaust manifold is sitting at Havoc fab where its having the External gate welded on. I have sold my high flow turbo, and was looking into Hypergears ATR45SAT but I'd like to do a bit more research on Garett, Kinagawa and Borg warner turbos before I make my purchase. I'm not in any hurry at this stage so will let you know soon as I buy something Cant wait to get my zed!
  4. little update Just got back from Japan XD what a blast that was! seen some crazy shit meet the dudes at Tomei, mines, nismo and a few more! feedback from Sandown - the 34 had a bit of understeer into corners, not sure if was just coming in too hot or if tyres were wrong, it just felt wrong. so I'll take it to a garage in Melbourne to have it aligned better. however the Achillies seemed to be ok but ill save my review for after i get the 34 aligned. I trial fitted the front bar it looks amazing! It'll be getting painted rather soon. I've had a small change of heart and am now heading in a different direction with power, I'll be changing over turbos and adding an external gate, swell as Cams and split fires. however all that shall be put on hold for at least a few months as I just purchased another dirty Nissan (ZX). till next time
  5. sorry to bump an old thread, today I attempted to instal my white line sway bars (24mm front 22mm rear) had no dramas with the rear that was easy, when I tried unbolting the fronts at the linkages I first rounded out a bolt, and quickly came to realise that those bolts weren't coming off unless i used a grinder, so got the grinder out and sheared them off. also noticed that white line sway bars don't include after market linkages for their front bars, however they do for the rears, so Just make sure you get some aftermarket front linkages as the stock ones almost will certainly break as Ive heard many times before.
  6. finished the gear stick surround today, I mounted the GFB adjustable blow off valve controller recessed back into the plastic, looks so neat, I'm really happy with it. Always managed to mount the odd things really well like the GFB boost controller fit perfectly in the space of a air vent finished product -
  7. thanks mate I like the idea of your Toe and camber settings, is it to aggressive for a cruise down the coast on the street? is your car registered? These are the issues I'm having, I don't mind running aggressive settings to get the most out of my tyres, and then after sandown ill re-vert back to a more street friendly setting. As my next track day after sandown won't be for another few months. (hopefully will be phillip island)
  8. Sorry about the late reply Tim lol, I've bought some whitline sway bars, 24mm and 22mm (currently in transit) also picked up some camber rods and a new set of rims (9.5" with +18 offset all round) wrapped in achillies 123s semi's 255's rear 235's front and something I've wanted since I played Need for speed lol - a BOV/ diverter valve that is adjustable from within the cabin. once I installed it I drove down the road laughing my head off. litte vid - IMG_0687.MOV Also in my spare time I bought a front and rear bar which I might install after the next track day just to make it easier to get on and off the trailer. (from Viva Garage Melbourne) Just entered Sandown SAU day on the 30th of Jan, so keen to test out these tyres! from what little time I spent driving home from the tyre shop they gripped up incredibly well! Also keen to note down some camber settings that people are running? next to come will be brakes
  9. I bought a fibre glass copy from taiwan pics are in my build thread, it cost me under 300 delivered, then I painted it myself. It doesn't use the factory holes form the GTT wing, but it does however cover them up, but you will have to create new holes in your boot.
  10. all good, ebay has them at decent prices, and is your 34 a S1 or 2? I believe that the S1 had some crappy mechanical LSD like the r33 but the S2 (mine) a more betttererer helical that was apparently made by true track?
  11. Thats good to hear Tim, I thought the 27mm for the rear was a bit too much, is yours a S2? do you have the helical diff? I thought I had shagged it out at a track day when it was single pegging out of corners, turns out it was just shit grip/ to much low pressure. You ever had any dramas with your diff? where did you get your sway bars from? ebay? And thanks Peter
  12. Who doesn't enjoy tail happy? and if his rears are adjustable cant he adjust them if it is too "tail happy"??
  13. Hey Tim, the next plans would in fact be sway bars, I've been looking and researching them recently, was going to get a thick 27mm for the rear to really get it sideways, I'm still undecided where I want to go next, I don't want to drift (this car) professionally coz it will get wrecked! I just want to do a beginners/learners day and give it a decent crack. Otherwise I'd have to say I really enjoy motorkhana, its not as serious as track days, also I'm going to run it down the quarter mile soon to see what it can do What size sways bars did you buy? thoughts on going for a 27mm for rear straight away?
  14. So had the car tuned on E85 at RacePace, the car came out with an impressive 300+ mw's and some incredible torque figures. The car was making full boost just like a standard turbo! Went and did a track day at sandown and ran a best time of 1:35, and absolutely cooked the brakes, so upgraded to EBC track pads (blue stuff) Went to Phillip Island with the new brakes, and they worked a treat. Ran a best time of 1:59 I've made other minor changes like changed the exhaust system to 3" pipe into the 6" cannon, makes the car a lot louder. and coil overs, I'd like to do a beginners drift day to see how I like it so setting up the suspension and handling accordingly. Thats all for now, more updates to come soon
  15. Excellent write up!, many thanks for taking the time out to do this, I'm sure someone will find this very useful one day!
  16. Interested in the 235's if your willing to separate. Cheers
  17. is it free to enter sandown to watch people race???
  18. In, can someone confirm its free entry for spectators?
  19. thank you for doing that, and it has a booklet that explains all this stuff?
