Gday all, not sure why im doing this(the sound???im going mad???)but anyway ive got a rb30 lying around and some gtr throttles also and thought id put them to use. Plan is to do away with the rb26 head>throttle piece of alloy and make a kinda triple dcoe manifold using the base of the rb30 plenum and some bits and bobs welded on, similar to this: My only questions are how long should the runners be?(was thinking shorter the better but have to avoid the water inlet)and also how the hell can i get it to run?(mods to the head?standalone ecu?) i have the gtr plenum so could i use the rb30 afm/tps etc and hope for the best? ive never modified anything like this before so id just like a little advice. My R33 ran exactly as yours does, also had roughly the same mods. Does yours blow smoke? Mine did once it hit boost, ran really rich too. I've been told a possible melted piston but haven't taken it apart to look yet.
