I have heard of this happening quite a lot, I owned a Mk4 supra before the GTR, and its a very common issue with supra and HKS, the material the outer teeth are made from isnt strong enough or durable, hence they eventually wear after time, to add to this, they are a feeble 3 bolt gear (as opposed to a 4 bolt), so in high horsepower applications its actually possible to sheer the bolts ending in catastrophy. A case of just because it has HKS on it, dosent mean its actually good :chairshot

Sorry this might be obvious, but what type of car is it for, and what are its advantages over stock?

Just picked my 32 GTR up a 12/89 model with 101500 on the clock, all cylinders at 165 across the board, so either yours really has more than 100K or its seen a harrrrrd life :uh-huh: mine had been sitting for a little bit too.

Cant say ive ever seen my gauge go off in 2nd gear, although I have pretty good tyres on at the moment, what are the condition of your tyres like? As far as brakes go, mine is just fitted with the standard 4 pots, although I have newer discs and a race style brake pad, the brakes are extremly grippy, and will pull up faster than other cars I have owned and driven, which include a 300zx TT and a 95 supra TT with the big brake option So I suggest you look at your pads or rotors.

Hey man, I'd be glad to answer any questions on the VG30, Im guessing your looking to buy a 300zx TT I owned one myself for over a year. basically the overheating thing is an urban myth, as long as the cooling system is up to scratch, you will never have a problem with heat, As many track days will testafy. They are just like any other car or engine, if the cooling system is blocked up then you will have problems, if its a new import, get it flushed and rodded straight away (like you should with any new import) then Just make sure it has water in it, and your good to go Send me a PM if you like, Ill tell you anything you want to know

heheh mine was in a 90 toyota surf ssr turbo diesel, slow as buggery.. then the turbo kicked in... still slow as buggery I diddent get the proper taste until I bought my 300zx TT, a friend let me drive one of his R32 Gtst's, and I can get my v-spec gtr when plates are available

I just paid $30,000 for a 1994 R32 GTR, its pretty immaculate with low klm's, its really just like any other car... You pay more for lower klm's, you pay more the better the condition, you pay more the newer it is i.e 1989 or 1994, and in some cases you pay more for a stock car, than one with mods, you can also pay more if someone is ripping you off

Hi Guys Im your newest member so HI!! I currently own a 300zx TT and I am looking to import an R32 GTR as it is my absolute favourite, as my daily driver. I am really after the V-spec model but I dont know what years they were made, were they made from the begining 89 up to the end of the production? Or were they specific only to a certain year? Also I have never seen one for sale, I just know they exist, so what price would you think they go for landed here? Thanks for all the help in advance, I hope you guys go on cruises and such, as I will be hungry to mingle with the skyline crew here in QLD and sorry if my questions are noobish
