  1. Haven't got it yet. If you could scan them in, that'd be awesome. The dark blue colour (if it's the stock one) is really nice. The deep dishes shoudl really set it off too. I had to decide between the green and the blue and a car in green came up first, so I bought that one. Is it a series 1 or 2?
  2. OMG, that's awesome. Is it for sale?!
  3. Linton, have you considered a GFB Stealth FX? They can be switched between full venting, partial venting and full plumbback. Best of both worlds.
  4. Probably because compliance is $5500 from most places. They're also 4 doors, which seems to be a deterrant with import buyers.
  5. Thanks I just wish the majority of them shipped internationally. Good to look at anyway.
  6. Now they are some nice Chasers!
  7. I've been into imports for years and I've never heard of these before. I'll definitely check them out though.
  8. Evos are awesome. Well out of my price range though. Thanks for the tips DRIFTT. Have you got a link for Hyper Rev? I had to get an auto unfortunately. The manuals are ridiculously expensive. I heard the split between manual/auto was 10/90, which explains the price premium.
  9. A GTR was my other option, but I took the 4 door way. Maybe I'll regret it when I get the car, but I think I made the right decision.
  10. Nah it's just a plain version. I'm really not a fan of the TRD wing or front bar to be honest. I'd say the owner just bought a TRD grille (which is different to the TRD model's grille anyway). I actually prefer the meshed stock one anyway, so I'll be looking to swap with someone here unless they put the original one in the boot. I still like the series 1 lights, but I prefer the S2 ones by far. What sort of car do you think you'll bring back when you do come home?
  11. It's not that bad a job is it? That's my photoshopped one. Read just above the pic. I was just trying to see how it would look without the hideous orange blinkers. I think the clear ones are on the Avante models, so I'll have to get a set of those somehow.
  12. Thanks I've never seen another series 2 before to be honest. I only know of 1 other JZX100 in Newcastle and it's a series 1.
  13. Haven't seen it, but I'll be picking it up for sure now. Is it a full article on it?
  14. Thanks guys. You can ask, but I'll just say it was a lot of money (for me anyway). The series 2s aren't as cheap as the series 1s.
  15. Yeah I quite like it too I'd love some deep dish wheels for it, but after buying that I don't think I'll have too much cash left. I won't be touching the ride height though - my last car had a 400R kit and that was so impractical. This is my "I've turned 25 and need something practical, but don't want to give up the turbo" car
  16. Hi guys, I know it's not a Skyline, but I know a fair few of you are fans of Chasers, so I thought I'd post up some pics of mine. It's still in Japan atm, but it should be here soon (hopefully). It's a 99 model, series 2 JZX100 Tourer V. The engine puts out 206kW @ 6200rpm and 378Nm @ 2400rpm Series 2 taillights here - they look way better than the S1s imo. Photoshopped to have a clear blinker (I'll be ordering these pretty much straight away) I've got more pics (interior etc), but I won't post them unless people want them. Cheers, Michael
  17. I just got some high res pics of my car. I'll make a new thread in the general automotive section when i get up tomorrow. I'm slightly too drunk to actually post pics right now The car looks awesome though. I'm very happy with it. I think I might replace the TRD grille with the stock one though. EDIT: Charlie, I don't think any car could be as impractical as that car in your avatar. That thing is lower than the road
  18. Nah, no kit for me. I used to own a 400R kitted R33, so my bodykit days are over They're just too impractical.
  19. Well I'm sure you could find someone who could do that around here. What sort of car are you going to bring back? The Forester s/tb? They're not too common around here at all. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a real one (although there are enough badged sti ones around).
  20. I was planning on getting my work done in Sydney, but if there was a place in Newy that could do it, I'd be there in a second. Are you from Newy originally DaiOni? Or just visiting?
  21. haha yeah, I'd spot your car anywhere, so it was definitely the new owner you saw driving it We were both pretty happy with the price I think. I'm just looking forward to a car with 4 doors and no 400R bodykit. Thanks for the tip about the TV - I'll check that out.
  22. Thanks Charlie, I'm not sure when it's arriving, but I only won it at auction yesterday, so judging on how my R33 went, I'd say around 2 months until I'm actually driving it. Have you got a Chaser too?
  23. Cool. Thanks for that. I don't think I'll even be able to use the TV at all (let alone the navigation) since we use PAL and they use NTSC. I also lose the xenons during compliance - but I'm going to see what I can do to get them back off the compliance place somehow. All the Tourer V Chasers from 96 onwards have xenons btw InspectorGadget. And yeah, it's very stock. My R33 came in with all sorts of crap hanging off it, so I wanted a totally stock car.
  24. Hi Guys, I just bought myself a nice new stockish series 2 JZX100 Chaser (I love the series 2 taillights!) to replace my R33, and I'm having a bit of trouble reading the Japanese on the auction sheet. Here's what I've worked out - It's green - colour code 6N9 (obviously) a Tourer V Grade 4 Interior is a C (I think..) Auto Climate control Sunroof Power steering Power windows TV There are a few other things circled that are in Japanese that I can't work out. Especially the !! bit down in the comments section. Is that a good !! or a bad !! Can anyone help me? Cheers, Michael
