  1. I think you got lucky. It was really good of Brent to wrap it up in Xmas paper for you. Not many other suppliers would do that. Personally, I'll continue to use both Nengun and local suppliers in the future.
  2. These are for the Newcastle area. Windale. Most of you Sydneysiders probably don't know where this is, but you certainly would remember it if you went there. I also wouldn't park at the Civic video at the Adamstown shops again. Even though it's a very safe area I had my window smashed there so that's enough for me. Finally, the Raymo cinemas. A friend had his window smashed there once.
  3. I quite like a short stroke motor - they rev nicely. A square motor is fine too, they also rev pretty well. It's just long stroke engines that I really don't like. e.g. the Falcon 4L. Calling the 2JZ a bad engine because it's got a longer stroke is taking it a little far though.

There are a few R34 sedans getting around these days. I see one on Darby st all the time.
  5. Is that the Millennium Jade that was on the Nurs? I've got a pic of that colour and it looks similar, but it's a bit off - might be the lighting though.
  6. Thanks Wilso. It's from the Japanese anime Spirited Away. Check it out some time.
  7. imo the 924 is let down by its engine. Have you looked at a 928? I love them, others hate them. Try one out if you can.
  8. BROWSING THROUGH FORUM AND THE LETTERS R34 ALWAYS DRAW ME LIKE A MAGNET. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF OUR NEW GTS-R BODY KIT FOR THE 4 DOOR AND 2 DOOR R34. DON'T BE AFRAID TO BE HONEST, IT IS HONEST OPINIONS THAT HELP MANUFACTURERS IN SUPPLYING WHAT STYLES PEOPLE REALLY WANT. FITTING ONE TO MY BLACK 4 DOOR NEXT WEEK. I'LL SEND YOU PICS WHEN FINISHED IF YOU LIKE. CHEERS :wavey: J.A.D.E. Sorry for the late reply to this - I must have missed this back when you posted it months ago! Anyway, I reckon the kit looks awesome. I love my 4 doors and that makes it look perfect.
  9. They just got in the way, mainly. I thought that after a while I'd get used to them and I'd just ignore them when I didn't want to see them, but they were just always in my vision.
  10. After having 2 60mm ones, I've got to say none.
  11. SAFC FMIC Pod Full exhaust HKS ex cam gear Old dyno (I'd swear they all read higher these days) and non shootout mode. My dyno
  12. The Power FC uses the exact same solenoid as the AVC-R. I can't see how it could be bad. If you just want to set the boost you want, then I'd say that's the controller to get. If you want a bit more control of your boost with different boost for different gears (personally I can't see the need for it), then get the AVC-R. They both hold boost equally well.
  13. Yeah I think they sometimes experiment on batches of cars. e.g. the R33s - the series 1.5s are a bit of a lucky dip in what you get out of the series 2 parts bin. That site is for sedans, not coupes, so that might explain some of the differences. That said, the site probably has quite a few mistakes.
  14. This site is great for finding out the differences between the R34 series. http://2style.net/r34sedan/ it's in Japanese btw, so some of you will probably have to use the Babbling fish. EDIT: If you're having trouble finding the differences section, it's here - http://2style.net/r34sedan/hikaku/hikakutop.htm
  15. The E and GF before a model indicates 1st and 2nd series afaik. Toyota use this too. I've been looking at Chasers, and they are E-JZX100 if they're a series 1, or a GF-JZX100 if they're a series 2. I'm sure it stands for something as both Nissan and Toyota use it. Maybe some of the Japanese residents can help out here? EDIT: Btw, it would be interesting to see if the S14A had a GF in front of its model code. If it did, then that would seem to validate my theory.
  16. Has someone got a reference dyno sheet of a stock turbo'd engine? That would be good to compare against.
  17. hehe, I guess I should read the units in future It was a nice A/F ratio number though
  18. Your A/F ratios are very stable for a stock ECU!
  19. mist, I've got no problems here with Firefox/IE. I don't think being logged in with FF would affect IE at all. They should be totally separate.
  20. I like the new system, but it seems like it's impossible to bump with it. e.g. I've got my car up for sale, but I posted it when the classifieds were still quite new and people weren't looking there. So, I don't think many people have seen my ad (or I'm asking too much hehe). I'd like to push my ad to the front page, but can't afaik. Is this possible with the new system? If so, then I'm all for it, otherwise I'll have to put in a vote for the old system.
  21. I never realised how much I needed my SAU fix until this morning. Glad it's back up. Feels quick too, but that could just be my imagination.
  22. Do you want to risk having your wiring catch on fire on the freeway though Maybe the wiring wasn't completely burnt out in my car so some original wiring was kept or there was some other reason why it was cheap, as he actually thought that I'd be upset that the price would be so high. If I could find the receipt I'd see what he actually charged me for.
  23. I didn't even think of different valve sizes. What you're saying makes sense though.
  24. Yeah on the track your EGT can certainly get up there and stay up there. My gauge was showing 1100 degrees when I was on the track once. I have no idea where the temp probe was for it though or if that is a high/low reading but it definitely hot enough to kill a turbo I reckon. An RB20 turbo on an RB30DET will be insane btw. That'll be on boost the second you touch the accelerator. One other thing - because you have 50% more displacement now, does that mean that the turbo has to flow 50% more air to get the same boost level? So running the same boost will actually be working the turbo harder?
  25. Yeah good point. I have heard of quite a few R34 turbos failing at lowish boost (around 0.7 Bar), so that probably does indicate it is a different turbo.
