  1. Agreed. There are now 4 mazda cosmos too, but no sign of any RX-2,3 or 4 yet. Bin the unneccessary extra models!
  2. Errrr..... Yes it should, but 6 is better I wouldn't try & start it anymore, you need to investigate the knocking noise first. Go through the basics first What was the car like last time you drove it?
  3. Injector cleaner. I'm not a fan of stuff like this UNLESS, it's been used since the car was brand new. Injector cleaner/fuel system cleaner should be used on the basis of keeping things clean, rather than cleaning stuff out. Products like this will fill your injector baskets full of crap, & you'll end up having to pull your injectors anyway.
  4. Was posted in the normal for sale section, just including S2 Stagea guys..... Link :http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/436144-plazmaman-neo-intake-throttle-body/ If it doesnt sell, I'l probably end up buying it for a silly price & shelving it till Im ready.
  5. +1 ^ Go through all the usual stuff first, just make sure everything goes back as you found it after testing if there's no fault found. Is it hard to start (e.g. turn the key & nothing happens of cranks fine at normal speed every time)?
  6. Ignition cleaner in your fuel tank & only 20mls? Must be VERY strong stuff. I've been out of the car game for 7 years, but never heard of that stuff. Who makes it? Can you post a pic of the container please? Curious........... Have you tried to read ECU fault codes through the consult plug?
  7. Ok. It sounds like a baffle has loose, but seeings as you've swapped the cat back, It could be the cat internals that have come loose. Did you check the cat internals when you were swapping it over? If not, drop the pipe off & check.
  8. What does the auto fluid smell like? A sweetish smell & red in colour, or burnt smelling & blackish in colour? Any visual signs of leakage when underneath it? When was the engine last serviced & what type of oil? If it spat big end bearings in the engine it would have rattled when you loaded the engine to get it on the trailer. Without being there to check it out, I'd recommend removing gearbox, drain engine sump into a container & check oil in sunlight for metal, fresh oil & filter & then start the engine up.
  9. Is that your cat back exhaust laying on the ground in the video?
  10. Got one too, asked if the did the under bonnet fuse/relay box, but they don't. They told me if I could get it translated for them they'd print them. Any possible help from the missus Terry?
  11. 2,000rpm is fairly high. It should go to about 1,200rpm on start, then drop to 900-1,000rpm within 30 seconds. When you say 'dead cold start' what's the ambient air temp? You could possibly have a vacuum leak. As the AAC compensation decreases, the ECU recognizes too much air vs AFM flow & hence the stall when you blip the throttle.
  12. May as well while your there, hose might be a bit pricier as it's moulded. No worries, anytime.
  13. Basically, if you get any blow by past your piston rings into the crankcase, the valve that goes into the grommet relieves that pressure back into your in take pipe to the throttlebody. So, yeah will be fine as long as there are no kinks. Just tell the Nissan parts guy its the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve grommet.
  14. Won't be that expensive new.
  15. Did you change the AFM because of this problem? Is it auto?
  16. Hamish, before installing a master cylinder, whether it be clutch or brake, you have to bench bleed the master cylinder. Did you carry out this step BEFORE installing any of the previous three master cylinders? Fit master cylinder in a vice. I lightly clamp in soft jaws with the bolt flange against the vice, fill with fluid, then using an extension or screw driver, pump the piston until fluid shoots from the ports. Then fit master cylinder. Two people are better for bleeding brakes (up, down, open, close), however gravity bleeding is fine with a 1-2 pump at the end to ensure all air is out.
  17. It's not a good thing. The amount of low skilled older age people who have to re-skill into a different industry is going to be a big problem, especially as most have families. The fallout from that is going to be the biggest issue. Given Ford's previous announcement of pull out, I knew it was only going to be a matter of time. I just hope the Federal Government gets smart & uses all the money it was going to give the manufacturers to re-skill the workers & create more jobs (we know that isn't going to happen though). This country has been lucky through the years either side of the GFC, but the edge of the cliff is looming closer & I think the next year or two is going to be VERY telling.
  18. Sorry Seth, he said it's together.
  19. Offers? Nothing silly ofcourse!
  20. Agreed. Why you would continue registration for 5 years without it being on the road is not logical.....
  21. A stuck injector is very possible, however it won't be white smoke, as there isn't that much oil to wash off the bore. The smoke will be more black. The other side of this coin is fuel dilution in your oil. What does your dipstick say? Do an oil change BEFORE you start it again & measure the quantity that comes out.
  22. Nah Joey, just means you need to hook your charcoal canister back up!!!!!!
