  1. By the look of the picture, those nuts haven't moved in a long time. Expect to break afew. I was lucky enough to find mine had previously been replaced with stainless studs & nuts. While that welshy looks to be the culprit, pressure test the cooling system anyway. A tip for anyone loosening exhaust studs/nuts/bolts, use a decent amount of penetrene, leave for a few hours, lube again & then nip the nuts/bolts up before attempting to loosen. If they move, then you have apretty good chance of loosening without breaking. If it breaks, well it would have broken if you tried to loosen first.
  2. Spotted & cruised with a Dayzd, white S2 Stagea (YHV.20V) today through Lyneham & Northbourne. Was good fun, as I don't get the chance to visit home very often, let alone cruise with another C34 with my family aboard! I need to get down to a Canberra meet!!!
  3. Cruised with a Dayzd white S2(YHV.20V)today along Ellenborough, Mouat & Northbourne.
  4. C'mon, now is that anyway to treat a lady? Maybe , Tom, you should have seen she is a newbie with 2 posts. So, Maadiimoo, welcome to SAU.
  5. Spotted 2 M35's today. A blue one parked in the ponds, & pulled up next to a white one at Rouse Hill shopping center.
  6. It should be under the rear screen defrost button, View link: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/uploads/1302431973/gallery_76834_4268_57888.jpg Mine doesn't do that. Mine gradually increases. Something going on there.
  7. You're gonna need that HKS kit back Alex!
  8. LOL! Love your installed security system!!! My Godmother had a white Fox when I was a kid, so many fond memories. Welcome again Pete......
  9. Damn! Having worked next to a suspension shop when I was a second year apprentice, I learnt a fair bit. Suspension set up is an art form & I definitely didn't want to miss this!!! As Benm said about finding reliable workshops to do this sort of stuff (even a basic w/a), its hard to find a workshop that knows what they're doing, AND, its something you can't readily check. I'm with you Ben, its worth the distance for the best set up!
  10. Hi Pete, welcome to the world of Stageas! This is a great forum, massive amounts of knowledge here. Don't let afew little things dampen your excitement. By the sounds of it, your gearknob is lying to you. Forget about 6th gear. Did you get an RS4S or an Autech 260RS? Get some pics up!
  11. No, its my first. Had a cheap manual unit. Will NEVER go that road again! Too uncontrollable. A dual solenoid unit would be better than the single, but couldn't afford $600+. Was thinking about the turbosmart e-boost street, but I still saved $200. I got it from eBay from MRT Performance.
  12. I recently fitted a GFB G-Force II. Has some fairly good features: overboost, gain, sensitivity. Very happy with it. Fairly easy to set up if you have a highway or dyno nearby. Responds very well in situations I get myself into.......
  13. What were the measurements before any machine work? If it was bad enough for three skims, then it probably should have been straightened before any milling!
  14. That was me........
  15. Here's the P/N: NI-68471-0V800. The description is 'mask-stereo'. Ignore this or it will throw you off. Cost was $93 & it took 6 weeks ex Japan! They must be getting hard to find OEM.
  16. Hey Michael, welcome to SAU! My 'S' also came from Motorman nearly 2 years ago, & has never missed a beat. I'll let you know the Nissan part number for the blanking plate that goes above the ashtray. Mine also had the a/c controller fitted like yours, & I had a hard time finding the right part. Just have to find it.........
  17. I know, only just saw you!
  18. Spot on Alex! Stuck injectors are not that common - especially for white/grey smoke! All running good now Lance?
  19. DAMMIT AGAIN!!!! Probably wont be back in time for that........WORK SUX!!!
  20. Over heating issues aren't good. Shit happens. Recently my wife's Cube didn't start one Monday morning (wasn't used all weekend). When I heard the way the engine was cranking I knew it had dropped a cylinder. Blown between 1&2. both cylinders were a perfect 82psi. It drove perfectly as I was the last to drive it & it had never had ANY issues with overheating. Spose now is the time to be thinking of upgrades!!!!!!!!!!
  21. ^ +1. GCG are over rated...........
  22. Lance, sorry mate, but by the sounds of the engine locking while cranking, it's hydraulic locking (you can't compress a liquid).I don't recommend cranking the engine anymore with the spark plugs in, or you will smash a piston &/or rings. I reckon it's head gasket time mate. Try some of these things: Remove the spark plugs. Keep them in order. Look for either a WET or CLEAN spark plug. Do a compression test. Buy a cheap inspection camera (boreoscope) to jam down the holes & look around. Decent figures should be around the 150psi mark.
  23. IN IN IN!!! But.........31st is out for me. I hope work don't throw a spanner (literally) in the works & send me outta town. I've missed too much stuff this year already!!!!!!!!!
  24. From memory, not sure if it's changed recently, dealers, by law, are allowed to alter km readings, without notifying prospective buyers, don't have the time at the moment to find it, but I wil.....
