  1. Is your PFC causing this or is it an oil issue? The oil passages around there are pretty fine, make sure they aren't blocked. For a standard setup, when you hit 4000rpm, the engine should pull hard!
  2. Ok, so your intake hasn't been greatly increased by a HUGE front mount. Are your cam sprockets standard? Is your intake manifold standard? How well does the Power FC handle the operation of them both?
  3. As an engine builder myself, having the right tune for start up (Standard - Standard Factory tune is sufficient.......Modified with Nistune or aftermarket ECU - for anything out of the norm, besides a test start up,dyno is recommended!) after a rebuild is critical. A handful of engine rebuilders I know (which includes touring car/race car engineers) will only warrant (high performance street) engines tuned by Scott at Insight Motorsport! As a racer for years, both drag & rally, Scott's tuned some of the best. I've pulled up at his workshop & heard something on the dyno before I get out of my car, only to find Scott tuning something like Glenn Seton's old Peter Jackson Ford Sierra RS500 Touring car or 500kwatw F2 procharged street car! My only advice, as an engine builder, is preparation. Plan - talk to everyone! Find reputable engine builders & tuners. Talk to them, tell them what YOU want to do, examine the pros & cons. Collect parts that are going to work for what you want, then start letting the spanners fly. Don't deviate from what you want your car to do (bigger numbers coming on at 6500rpm are not as good as slightly lower numbers at 4500rpm - depending on the application). That way, when tuning comes around, you won't be disappointed by a mismatch in parts.......
  4. There are afew possible reasons that could have caused this, that R.o.B. hasn't mentioned, in terms of the extent of modifications........
  5. +1 for moving when everyone arrives. I work on Prime Drive, Seven Hills, So using the complex where I work will be no probs!
  6. Sorry guys, im out. Still in the desert fixing 2800 horses at 860rpm........
  7. Any execs input is appreciated, however, from benm (who works in the area) & driving the area under normal working hours to scope the suggestions (as I will be on my way home from work everyday till the event) will probably be more beneficial & practical for meeting point locations. We all know there will be an excess of other cars (local & from other clubs) in the area on the day, which we all seem prepared for. Practically speaking though, it makes sense to meet around there for members not from Sydney, than somewhere like Wetherill Park or Arndell Park. Huntingwood is easy to get to. Most local businesses would be used to events of this nature (being right next door to a racetrack & the time of the event), especially around the weekends, as long as we don't get in their way & we behave ourselves in name of the club, we shouldn't cause too much disturbance to the locals.
  8. Agreed Ben. After driving around I found The Rocket Industries end of Healey Cct to be the go, because of the long uninterrupted left side of the street. I'm just hoping it's not a favourite for truck drivers!
  9. LOL! Well I'm about to go for a drive around there to check it out. If anyone is going to have issues about being near HWP HQ, we can change it.
  10. That's what we're trying to do Eric! Trying to keep it local to the track for everyone (especially out-of-towners who don't know Sydney) is going to be the easiest way to meet up. Now here comes the hard part: 1. Where to meet? 2. What time can the majority meet? VIP entry is from 5:30, so maybe meeting up at 5:00? Where? Looking at the WhereIs site, maybe down the bottom of Liberty Rd (where it says Liberty Rd on the map) off Huntingwood Dr would be a good place?
  11. Agreed Charlie, BUT, I'm pretty sure that that is where the NSW HWP HQ is!
  12. Concrete. Huntingwood is easier as you only have to turn left at the round-a-bout (at the tavern) & your off to the show!
  13. That servo is no good PJ as it's on the wrong side of the traffic island. I have been thinking maybe one of the side streets in Huntingwood as the streets are quite big & with ample parking. Everyone can then organize themselves. A good point by k_d in the ACT section too: RMS, Police & possibly EPA might have a 'station' set up.
  14. LOL, my work only flies us QANTAS (not other sh%tty airlines)!
  15. That's why the Kakimoto is coming off & stocko back on, stereo won't have to be very loud then! sshhhh, I'll be able to hunt wabbitts.

  21. Yep, Took me afew goes to get the right part. At first they ordered me an S15 shifter surround! It will be ex-Japan. Be prepared to wait abit, think mine took 3 weeks! Suppose they have to track parts like these all the way to dealer stock. Your lucky yours even has one, mine didn't & I had to look at a hole in my dash for a year!!!!! Glad I could help out Andrew.
