  1. Does anybody have feedback on the mace engineering manifold spacers? They are made from insulating material so may keep temp down too.. If you are searching for performance I dont think you will feel a difference after switching to the plazmaman (I didn't) but don't regret it because of the difference it makes in the engine bay. I can't comment on the greddy, but even spaced I don't think it would either

  3. I am under the impression he is using tomei B cams? He is also using E85 which is not an option for me. It is not a case of saving money or not, i have already purchased type B cams, springs, retainers shims etc.. If it is going to make an Improvement then i might as well do it, but if it is going to be considered a performance Decrease then i should bin the cams for something more suitable. Perhaps i should start a new thread so i don't derail OP's any further. I am looking more for NEO, specific advise, im not convinced results from rb25 or r33 rb25 would mimic results of the neo
  4. Pretty sure ben has a way of easily adjusting intake cam on neo that im going to look into, How do you feel the 252s would affect midrange and response?
  5. Have already bought the type b cams but I will sell for more suitable cams if I knew what to get, I have already got suitable upgrades to those areas besides diff, I'm not sure what I could upgrade there?
  6. Would you say the 252 cams are a good choice over stock on the neo?
  7. I understand that but I have read many posts sayin that it's a problem only with the newer ECU, because of the optical sensor and the speed of the new ecu's..
  8. I plan on scraping the PFC for a new ECU anyway.. I thought the PFC had no issues with timing fluctuations anyway, and it was just the newer ecu's
  9. Could it be done with Haltec platinum pro? Which is what I plan on going
  10. If somebody could describe how to do this in a bit more detail I would be extremely appreciative, (pm if necessary don't want to deviate too much more)
  11. I would be interested in the results from this, modifying the factory balancer could save $700+ Are you saying the factory cas can be retained and the signal just has to be modified so it can be interpreted? .. I'm not sold on the design of the cam trigger finger, but everything else looks great
  12. I am talkin on a 25 neo, where there is no 'type r' available. Stock cam is intake 236 8.4mm exhaust 232 6.9 mm and the type b is 260 9.15 intake and exhaust. But do tomei measure from base lobe or from .050" lift? Although I am going top mount forced performance 3076 it is still not a large turbo, perhaps I should go with type a with 252 degree and still 9.15mm lift, it is still a considerable amount larger than factory
  13. I got type b for my 25det neo but haven't installed them yet, somebody told me to go the smaller cams for this reason but majority said the type b's were better, and tomei claim the type b make more peak power and better response than type a
  14. I will be using tomei cam gear but is nearly Identical, why are different options needed between stock and adjustable cam gears?
  15. So the cutout on the right side front timing cover is for the cas and not vct actuator?
  16. Will this work with the standard vct? Instead of the adjustable cam gear
  17. I hope something like that with all the mass at one side would not cause issues at high rpm? The design is a little different than the others I have seen. Would it still work with vct?
  18. I don't understand how some can have issues while others won't, even with the same setups, .. I want to upgrade ECU but am fearful of timing issues, so don't know if I should go for a trigger kit from the get go even though as you say it's not essential in all cases
  19. I like the idea of machining the factory balancer, saves spending big $$ on new balancer and trigger wheel, unless there is an advantage to the ati or Ross balancers that I am missing?
  20. Did you just get the teeth cut into your balancer or did you attach a chopper wheel onto it? What do the numbers mean? Eg 36-1 is 36 teeth on the crank and 1 on the cam? Is this correct?
  21. Ok thankyou, why does the cam sensor also need to be changed if it is already fitted with one from factory?
  22. I would be very keen for a setup to suit rb25 neo,.. What else would be required? Just the Hall effects sensors? I am trying to understand the advantage of this. Would I be correct in saying the rb engines do not have a crank sensor and rely on cam sensor to determine crank position? If this is correct then why do additional cam sensors also need to be installed?
  23. Would take $1000 for seats and $250 for rails. All brand new!!!
