Hi, im disableing my vct on my rb30det. has anyone locked the vct gear as well as sealing the oil gallery. and is it nessesary to lock the gear. Cheers

thanx for the offer greg its much appreciated. i actually got my ecu from them and they gave me an rb25 map. my mate who has ef turbo with wolf helped me tweak it abit so im cruising for christmas at least. i will probably get them to get it right when finished running engine in. i thought if i could find someone as helpful as u with a 3.0 i might be able to get a map from them to save a bit of time/money when i take it there as they didnt have a 3.0 map. all the best for christmas buddy. cheers. hey i got my rb30det up n runnin now but i need a tuner in melb area that has tuned an rb30det with wolf so he doesnt have to play around all day to get it right. anyone know who might do this. cheers Dave.

hey boys, just running in my r33 rb30det and oil temp is getting a little over 100 degrees when idleing but when cruising at 100 kmph at around 2800 rpm it drop to 60 degrees. just wondering what a healthy temp should be. i spose theres no point putting an oil cooler on it when the temp is peaking at idle.

inasnt do u mean the injectors are shit or just the collars? I have called a few places in reguards to 20b injectors but no ones got any.

hmmm may have to modify originals perhaps.

hi. im just wondering if anyone has or knows where there might be some pics of the sard 550 side feed injector collars. im thinking of getting some 550ss injectors but the collars are about $40ea. i was thinking if they could be matched up with another local setup available at the good ol wreckers perhaps. Thanx 4 the info boys. Shan how can i get a look at these tuning mags u talk of? I live in greensborough. I was thinking otherwise just taking the car to someone and to get them to do it. People in the trade/area have told me electronic automotive is ok for this tuning. Do u know anything about these guys? Are they likely to have maps for rb30det or will they have to root around with it u think. being epping they would have to have tuned some rb30dets by now.

also does anyone know if these maps would be useful when rechipping standard computers? I have a friend who just brought the gear to modify the standard computers but has had very little experience. he said he could do it but it would take days. Are these maps simular?

it appears to have been running lean. when i got the injectors cleaned b4 use they told me two werent pulsing. even though they were ok when they came out. when he went to show me that they were not working they had come good. he said maybe because they were in the bath ova nite. or i also put xf throttle body with closest t.p.s i could find, it was very close to original but n.q.r. but i dont think this would be a problem. just needed more fuel i think. there was no pinging or any signs like that. i kills me to say it but a good dyno may have saved the engine. ive gotta get some injectors b4 it goes on the road again. im thinking sard 550cc cos greenline have a special at the moment. anyone seen any cheaper? they also have 850cc for the same price but it may be ovakill. rb30det, cooler, t3/t4 hybrid. custom plenum.
