  8. i'd rather not go into it all - but basically a GTR owner posted a dyno sheet - power was fairly nice @ the rears - he has stock internals/fuel pump and some questions were raised

Eug - when your turbo is spooling there is a shitload of suction when running mid-high boost - water can easily enter the internals mate - i've seen it happen to my mates 300ZX - and search the forum here - it's not as rare as you might think! and about the CAI - check out the for sale section - i just bought, or am in the process of buying a box off a guy - it's very very clean he has 1 left (different sort than i got but would still work) for 100 bucks..

  11. i know someone who brought a r32 frontcut - and did a rb20det conversion - he did most of it himself and the cut only cost about 2k - and it absolutely hammers... maybe you should consider this?

  19. ok mate, firstly a gtst makes about 184KW stock stats on the RB25DE: don't quote me on 1/4 mile times, but I think it's about a second slower over the distance than a gtsts (both stock) The RB25DE has some go - nice form a running start about 50k's and dropping back a gear...but it's never going to beat a 'worked' gtst - without spending money on it....allot of money Some easy shit he can do: Work on intake - high flow filter/POD filter 2.5" Exhaust (cat back or full system - just no larger then 2.5") Extracters (check link in my sig for some cheap!) NOS (he can get a nice wet kit for <900 bucks and run a 50HP shot) Simply stuff ^^^ Then ofcourse he could spend 3500 bucks, buy a frontcut 33 and do a conversion - but if it's his first car - the relative savings on fuel/services/insurance/running costs will be great - they look nice and go ok - i'v beaten every homo VL driver whom tries to go 'fully sick' on the freeway - lol - also the older silvia's/180's have no chance....

  21. i don't think that correct zebbie - although I know if it's a oiled POD then it must be in a partition due to the oil being 'flamable'
  22. also do a searhc on partitioning etc- there has been group buys of pro jobs that look sweet, also pics etc posted of others home jobs!
  23. Eug - there's worse problems then water getting to you AFM - water getting into the engine == blown rods etc
