ok mate, firstly a gtst makes about 184KW stock
stats on the RB25DE:
don't quote me on 1/4 mile times, but I think it's about a second slower over the distance than a gtsts (both stock)
The RB25DE has some go - nice form a running start about 50k's and dropping back a gear...but it's never going to beat a 'worked' gtst - without spending money on it....allot of money
Some easy shit he can do:
Work on intake - high flow filter/POD filter
2.5" Exhaust (cat back or full system - just no larger then 2.5")
Extracters (check link in my sig for some cheap!)
NOS (he can get a nice wet kit for <900 bucks and run a 50HP shot)
Simply stuff ^^^
Then ofcourse he could spend 3500 bucks, buy a frontcut 33 and do a conversion - but if it's his first car - the relative savings on fuel/services/insurance/running costs will be great - they look nice and go ok - i'v beaten every homo VL driver whom tries to go 'fully sick' on the freeway - lol - also the older silvia's/180's have no chance....
