  1. something like: http://www.filejunkies.net/sighost/images/airbox1.jpg http://www.filejunkies.net/sighost/images/airbox2.jpg http://www.filejunkies.net/sighost/images/airbox3.jpg http://www.filejunkies.net/sighost/images/airbox4.jpg but for 2 pods feed from top and make extra feed from bottom - would be fairly easy
  2. don't quote me but i am fairly sure eaach mapp should be tuned for peak performance
  3. car looks nice mate hows it go with such a large exhaust on the NA? good luck with sale - looks great
  4. someone explain wtf is going on lol
  5. i got my 33 lowered with KYB shocks and King Springs (sports lows), all is fine if your going super lows i was told it's a good idea to get the kit
  6. check my sig leigh you'd need brake upgrade larger fuel pump maybe even a 5 hub conversion
  7. i have air box - no funnel though....
  8. my mates 33 GTS-t had a problem with 3 coils - taped them up and fixed them - bosoting @ 10PSI fine and all fixed - a good temp solution
  9. you may think it's american made, but it's just like buying a "Palsonic" TV, or the classic "Fujita" air conditioners dimmies has been selling.....all rip offs trying to make sales on quality brands Garret as opposed to Arret - CMON!!!
  10. update, only smokes when it comes onto boost
  11. my wheel is black - no airbag of course and has the little 'S' form the fornt in the middle - i thought all wer elike this - is this the standard one?
  12. well if it's piston then he's going to get half cut and do manual conversion + new motor - i don't think it's a hose
  13. yeah but look at the size of yours - you's be surprise not 'that' much air is going in - plus the funnel was engineered by nissan - if it's good enough for a GTST it's more than ample for a GTS
  14. **** yeah - was pinging like a mofo a few days before
  15. so you want a GTR/stealth wing? or anyhting after market?
  16. thanks dan
  17. i meant 5 - thanks for NOT being useful
  18. hey guys Car Stats: 1993 R33 GTST Auto Blitz FMIC Manual Boost Controller POD Blitz 3" Cat Back Exhaust HKS Fuel Cut Defender The Story: Car was missing very badly when boosting over 5 PSI - Taped the coils as a temporary measure to see if it fixed it. Once taped the car ran perfect up to 12 PSI (we didn't try to boost it any higher due to lack of after market gauge). For a more permanant fix owner removed tape - and used a gasket compound to seal them - apparently it's not a insulator though (how stupid!) but that cannot be confirmed as he forgets exact brand/type. Once the gasket shit was hard he took it for a drive - was running fine. He gave it a bit of a 1/4 mile run through the gears (wanna-be manual driver ). Just after he thrashed it a bit at 10 PSI with the gasket shit in place a HUGE cloud of white/blueish smoke came form the exhaust when he got off the gas. The car then seemed to be running VERY rough at idle - a bit like if only 6 cylinders were firing. The car still bosts - but when he gives it some smoke comes out, and a large cloud as he gets off the gas. He turned boost back to 1 PSI roughly to drive home (about 20 mins drive), just as he got home oil pressure dropped to about 1 (from just above 4 where it usualy sits). He checked oil and it was almost empty - I assume as it had all been burnt off.... Is the motor ****ed? Turbo? whgat could cause this? Could the fact that maybe one of the coils is shorting out onto the head due to the fact a insulator was not used (maybe) cause this? I suspected turbo - but no noise in turbo just as knocking/grinding etc - and the car still hits boost ok. There was a bit of a knocking sound in the motor a few days prior - but could only be heard with head under bonnet - and would last for about half a second just as you gave it a few revs from idle. Any idea's guys???
  19. i'd say you should do an apprenticeship at a normal workshop - maybe even ford/holden/nissan dealership etc once finished yu can work at a performance garage while doing uni part time, or work part time while doing uni it might sound stupid but with the ford XR's being turbo'd now, and some supercharges SS's getting on you will still get to do some work on the performance side while learning the basics... i don't think a performance shop would take on an apprentice - mainly because their time is allot more valuable - and often the work is a little more complex/involved
  20. well mine must be a GTS25 Type S - i want to find some more info about it /heads to google
  21. ok, some pics: this is a aluminium box with a clear top - lined with heat insulating foam to keep the heat out. The air is bought in VIA the stock funnel as you can see - with this installed as oposed to a POD filter with no partition I can notice a difference at high revs - weird I know but I can... what you guys think?
  22. mate, i think the problem is not when the car is stationary - but when your driving @ 100km/h in heavy rain... also i know a few older supra's/celica's that have a almost identical scoop - if i could find my digital camera i would post some pics of what i have done....
  23. that problem is the stock ECU ^^^ to fix it you need a "HKS Fuel Cut Defender" - it is installed onto your ECU and bypasses the 12PSI boost limit i installed my mates - fairly easy to do, i think his was about 300 bucks from autobahn
  24. i assume it's a cheaper alladin - or is it a X3 - this is important as a X3 costs ~100 bucks, aladin costs 30 ish
