BTW this is a mainly australian forum so quoting UK shopsaint much help and using the standard air box with a high flo panel filter would be just as good as what you describe there with a cheap bit of larger diameter pipe bringing cold ait from somewhere under car to boc good job though

  11. wow - some action int he thread now dan your just the man i wanted to see this thread i will be doing the work myself - yet thats going to be a BIG challenge for me... ECU wise probably a wolf maybe? or even another piggy back system or maybe a stock GTS-T ECU - haven't decided yet, but i'd say I will use a standard GTS-T ecu when i get all the bits i hope to get it done in a very short time frame i'm liking the idea of bolt on turbo now and rb30 bottom later on...

  15. also stormy - oiled filters ar ebetter as the oil helps in the filtration process

Col - of course if the POD is not enclosed you will lose performance - the cooler the air the better it combusts stormy - if your wanting somehting to make allot of noice - go for a cheaper POD if it's a NA. I have a K&N filter - they filter great - and have great air flow - but your not going to hear anything with it on your NA (if it's stockish), the NA simply wont suck enough. I used to be able to hear mine a bit when i shifted down a gear and gave it some - but once I got my exhaust system got no chance of hearing it
  17. i have stock shocks/springs that came out of my 33 when i lowered it - i also have stock exhaust you can have the 4 stock springs and the exhaust for 160 bucks + postage - it shouldn't cost too much to post....

  20. yeah well i seen a dvd of it on the dyno getting tuned by sub zero - with gas had no traction with boot lid off - about 5 guys in boot and 2 guys stadning on the side of the car - it was 779rwhp but still spinning - insane
  21. so let me get this straight... 1. you removed your air filter and ran a pipe from down low right into your intake system 2. you cut your exhaust just before the cat WTF!!! obviously your taking the piss.... IF your not - WTF are you thinking????? water/dust/dirt will be getting sucked into your motor for a start - you need some form of filtration ffs mate!!!! and not only is it HIGHLY illegal to do what you did to your exhaust system (not only sound emissions but having no CAT - someone told me fine is well over 100 thousand dollars...) but you have now taken your horse power from 50HP to 20, nice work the engine needs back pressure mate - you may as well get a PHAT 4" exhaust system and slap on this puppy if your going to cut it off.....same thing will happen - no back pressure = power loss

  24. cheap as in <3k what i am trying to say is you spend 1000 doillars for example on a NA and get X kw gains you spend the same 1000 on a turbo motor and get yourself 3 times as much gain for your buck Get a 89 dolalr boost controller and ind it up a few PSI etc - thats NOT EXPENSIVE
