In the unlikely circumstance that something goes wrong : Engine Builder will blame tuner => Tuner will blame engine builder.. and in the end your the one with your hands in your pockets. Get the run in done, do an initial tune at the workshop that built it and enjoy the thing for at least a couple of months. Id rather have it tuned running richer and safer than going balls out on a freshly built motor. After a couple of months if your getting sick of it go to Racepace, whack some timing and boost in it and see how you go

Bump. 57k neg. Throw an offer guys -
Whilst I do agree that the laws should have been on a power:weight ration right from the start instead of a blanket ban I cant see this ending well. Whilst "engine modifications" may not exactly be legal for them there is nothing stopping a young would be driver chucking in a ecu, adding some boost to their low mount and accompany that with some e85 and you now have a 17 year old in a 230rwkw sub 1200kg S-chasis - and the best part of it all is that it would cost him the same price if not cheaper than buying a sh*tty N/A CA or SR equivelant and as far as police are concerned its only got "an exhaust on it". Can definately see this leading to more accidents not less. There is ample amount of young drivers at the moment who are driving and paying the SAME price if not more for the inferior N/A equivelant simply because they are not allowed to drive a turbo.

Heres an engine pic in the mean time - will take more along with interior shots hopefully tonight -
What... so your telling me that "immaculate, genuine 29xxxkm, original, no accident all for $48,990 vehicle" has actually been in a hit !! All seriousness, unless your planning a cheap budget no f**ks given track car or starting your own private Paramatta Rd. business your not going to save much money in adequately repairing your damaged R34 and even if you do it will never be the same as a mint original example in panel alingment and overall cleanness

Provided with CPU connector, 28 pin socket and instructions Note: You will require a consult cable to connect the laptop to your vehicle. Tax, shipping and transaction fees may apply *1 ECR33 RB25DET Skyline can use HCR32DET ECU (no VCT) or Z32 VG30DETT ECU (internal modifications required) *2 BNCR33 Skyline requires BNR32 RB26DETT ECU and O2 sensors *3 BNR34 Skyline requires BNR32 RB26DETT ECU, O2 sensors and CAS wiring modifications *4 Q45 VH45DE (1990-1992) using removed high gear maps Taken from the Nistune website. It can be done but its not simply a "plug and play" I guess.. -

Correct me if im wrong but I dont think you can Nistune the R34 GTR ecu.. As for your question, scrap that as it would be absolute rubbish. I would just go for a PowerFC -
Snapped up a few pics to put in my EOI For Sale thread when I took her out earlier today and played around with some effects on photoshop. I was pretty happy with the way they came out considering ive got 0 to none experience in taking photos

Took a little while but I managed to snap up a few decent pics earlier today. I am more than happy for future buyer to carry out any third party inspection they wish. Body, engine and interior are all immaculate and very hard to fault. -
Hey all, The dreaded day has come where I’m contemplating pulling the pin on my beloved 34R and moving onto other avenues and investments. She was brought into Aus by Top Secret Imports and I have owned her for 2 years now. I purchased her relatively standard with the only modification being an exhaust and PowerFC to bring some life. Since then I have gone on to modify the car to my particular tastes both aesthetically and performance wise and it gets compliments and stares for all the right reasons every where she goes. Several members on this forum have seen the car in flesh and can attest to the genuine quality and no costs spared modifications. I purchased her with 58xxx km’s on the clock 2 years ago and she currently sits on 66xxx with most mods on the car being between 2-5,000km’s old as I simply have not enjoyed her as much as I should. My loss, your gain. So enough about that, here’s a list of whats what in the car: Engine * Full Rebuilt Motor to Dart specs (rebuilt by DART Automotive at ~60,000km's) - Acid clean, Bore/Hone, Decked Block - ACL Bearings - Forged Pistons - Rods - Tomei metal head gaskets - Linished Crank - 1.5mm oil restrictor * Nismo Fuel Pump * N1 Oil Pump * Genuine Nissan Water Pump * Tomei Sump Baffle * Tomei Type B Poncams * Apexi Exhaust w/ high flow Cat * HKS Boost Controller * Blitz Turbo Timer * Apexi PowerFC * 2860-5 * Z32 AFM's * Apexi 80mm Filters Suction Kit w/ Hard Pipes * 100mm Intercooler * Nismo Coppermix Competition Spec Twin Plate Clutch * Custom CF Airbox * ARC cooling panel With the above mods the car made a very easy 337kw on 98ron on a very safe and moderate tune and has a lot more to offer as all the hard work has been done. Exterior * Varrstoen 2.2.2 Rims (19 x 10.5 + 12) w/ Yokahama 275/35 rubber * Nismo Skirts * Nismo Rear Pods * Z-Tune Bonnet * DBA4000 Slotted Rotors I still have standard airbox, AFM’s, front bar and many other parts as well that I am happy to throw in the sale. I have many photos showing the evolution of this car from day 1 however don’t wish to turn this FS thread into a “Build” thread so I will refrain from posting them, however pics of rebuild, body fitting etc can be made available via pm to genuine buyers. For the final part, asking price is $58,000neg. and the car is located in Sydney, NSW. Feel free to shoot me a pm and I will forward my contact details to potential buyers. Ive put up some pics that I have available to me on the current PC, will upload a few more later tonight or sometime tomorrow. Cheers

What Is 'too Much' Power For The Street?
nomnomv8 replied to Albus's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yeh most 1000hp+ "Street Cars" (if thats what you can even call them...) are RWD but then again most 1000hp "street cars" would get annihilated off the set of lights by a standard falcon.. I agree with you comment on pressure applied to the gas pedal but this loses its argument when you start talking high end applications where the car becomes a slug in most normal driving conditions (not on full boost) no matter how hard you press the pedal... High powered AWD you can put you foot down flat stick and know it will put the power down (mostly anyways), RWD you put your foot down and very quickly you start backing off as your rear end starts trailing and chugging smoke. Heck Ive sat in my mates datto when hes loaded up the stallie rolling at 90kmh and the second it lets go hold the fark on cause your skating all over the place.. Fun but not exactly ideal ! -
What Is 'too Much' Power For The Street?
nomnomv8 replied to Albus's topic in General Automotive Discussion
All depends on the car.. A 400rwkw Silvia is alot more silly than a 400awkw GTR. Perfect daily street car would be a mild low 300kw GTR (-7s or -9s). Standard looking engine bay, relatively reliable, mid - high 11s quater mile on street tyres and not all that expensive to build. Once you wind up the power things tend to go bang.. In saying that low 300's does get boring -
I'm pretty sure they are all the same mate, heres a pic off mine (its off a 34)

Finally been spotted! Cheers bud what car where you in ??

The "fangs" are normal and standard on all GTR front bars as far as I am aware aside for the "Nismo" style bars, could be wrong though
-
To clarify for you, you can run Z32 AFM's on your standard airbox although you will need to modify it to suit the larger size diameter of the Z32's. By the "suction kit" I presume you mean both the replacement "Twin Turbo" pipe and the intake pipes for your filters as a whole. In the case of you fitting a standard airbox you definately need to get rid of the intake pipes and replace back with OEM as your airbox wont fit otherwise. I have seen the replacement Nismo twin turbo pipe fit with the larger Nismo Airbox on standard however cant comment weather your Greddy pipes will work with OEM box.
