-9 all the way. Best streetable twins imo and perfect medium between response vs. power

- Remove airbox and replace with a pod filter - Dump exhaust off before muffler - Win ????

Cheers mate. She's no GTR99V in terms of cleanness but doesn't scrub up too bad at times
-
Last snap up before the ztune bonnet goes on after this long double demerit weekend
-
Just dump the exhaust before the muffler you will get the same sound out of it

Fs: [Nsw] Z-Tune Styled Bnr34Gtr $49,990 Ono
nomnomv8 replied to Chuey's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
^^ Agreed, everyone has different criteria when buying a vehicle and having been through it I know how hard it is to find a pristine condition BB for a good price. Anyone looking for a built example cant go past this 34 though. In terms of parts quality vs asking price this is an absolute bargain -

Imo this thing is a bloody bargain and Im suprised no one has snapped it up. Theres people out there asking more for their stockers let alone something thats forged, built and has 20k+ put into it. Gl mate, if I didnt have mine and I was in the market looking Id snap this up and have it in my garage by tomorow morning lol -
Calaisturbo is where its at for the good ole 30. Ohhh and GT35/40

Nice looking pipes mate !! Btw where did you source the R-tune intake snorkle and how much was it if you dont mind me asking?? I am in the same situation as you in that department and have opted to make a custom box around my pods with a modified snorkle dumping into the box -
My advice would also be to be a slightly modified example. Standard GTR's power wise are very boring

Wtb R34 Gt-R V-Spec/vsii Genuine Buyer Money Ready
nomnomv8 replied to R-PWR's topic in Wanted to Buy
Ha funny you mention that.. I was flicking through one of my mates collections of receipts on his silver 34R Vspec after he bought it and he pointed out the purchase details on the car from the first owner in Aus during the early 2000's which from memory was somewhere around the $110,000 mark !! Good to see that they have come within affordable price range yet still kept their value rather well despite their age. Look at E46 M3's which are newer than our Japanese counter parts, where ALOT more expensive once upon a time and these days available for under 35k with no dramas. Got to love BMW depreciation -
What are you going to use the car for ? Street only, track? What mods do you plan to do to it, how much are you willing to spend? Without answers to the above your questions on "Performance, handling, reliability and so on" cant be answered. The R33 is a good car, just like any other GTR out there.

^^ Wow that looks like absolute crap ! Rather typical of a vehicle thats spent its entire life in the snowy regions of Japan -
R34 Gtr Vspec Build
nomnomv8 replied to wedge_r34gtr's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Unfortunately no build thread, should have made one coming to think of it as the car started its life virtually as a stocker and transformed greatly in the time I have owned it. I have an old dyno sheet somewhere that I will try dig up, was extremely conservative and running low boost levels, rich and timing on 0. Still made 337awkw though. Car is off the road atm waiting for a new clutch to arrive from Japan so once that gets sorted out its going in for a slightly more agressive retune on higher boost and adjustable cam gears. I will be pretty shocked if it doesnt hit 350-60awkw on 20psi. You can still get to the 400 on pump, just add some Toluene and up the boost -
Would be good in an ideal world where I was on an extremely hefty pay figure or a lotto winner haha unfortunately I dont fit the criteria for either of the two
-
^^ EPIC ! In saying that would hate to own it as I know it would spend most of its life inside a garage due to paranoia of having its quality depreciate from too use and the fear of having someone steal something of such high value and mainly rarity.

R34 Gtr Vspec Build
nomnomv8 replied to wedge_r34gtr's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Cheers mate. I think the carbon looks really good on white and silver 34's, mine being a BB I am looking to get it painted to match body colour as i think the carbon looks abit tacky on it and doesnt do it much justice as opposed to the lighter coloured models where it creates an agressive looking contrast. I have a very similar build to yours (almost identical just different brand names for certain items lol) when i went through a forged rebuild of my motor about a year ago. You should get power out of her very easy. 400awkw would be abit hard on 98octane but the motor your building will handle the power all day every day -
^^ Looks very tough mate gota love the vcam What sort of power are you making ??

P Plate 125Kw/ton Exemption
nomnomv8 replied to kawasakirider's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Well.. R32 GTS-T Type-M - 1280kg @ 158kw Using simple maths you can work out that it falls just under the 125kw/ton law by a kw and a half so your all good -

In pending the arrival of my clutch from jap land. Fingers crossed -
The R34 does definately feel alot more raw and like a real race car when compared to the R35, you cant deny the brutal grunt of the R35 though they are bloody quick straight out of the box, which is more then I can say about the earlier models. I recal the first time I drove my GTR (basically a stocker aside the exhaust) I didnt realise what all the "GTR" hype was about as it felt bloody slow and a SS Commodore would probably leave me for dead. If its the power side that is enticing you towards the R35 I recommend you put some money in the engine bay and your mind will change very quickly, I know mine did I have respect for the VS2, Nur and other varients of the R34 GTR and admire them greatly but personally I wouldnt be selling something as clean as yours and paying a whole lot of extra money for just a badge and w*nk factor as I like to call it. Weigh up the pro's and cons and realistically the difference between them for a street driven car doesnt justify the extra 20,000+ you will be putting ontop. In saying that if I was given a same cost choice between a Nur and a base model GTR its a clear cut decision what I would pick. However with the 20k+ margin between the two I would rather have a weapon base model than a slug top of the range one. Thats just me personally though, I like to go quick lol

Car is insanely clean as always ! Why the reason for sale mate she is way too clean to get rid off so soon
-
As the guys above have stated check the IC piping first and foremost shouldnt take you more than half an hour including jacking the car up and back down. Im presuming you have standard turbos fitted?? If so how much boost where you running through them?
