Dont insult me, I will take 2 of these.. no wait. 5 ! http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/holden-caprice-2007-13297268?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=0&eapi=2&__N=1246+1247+1252+1282+1216&num=15&silo=Stock&Range=Price:150000,Max~0.5&sort=Price In cash ofcouse... In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women

I did left alot of factors relating to my decision unnoted which I guess set me up for the above responses and in turn admittedly did make me look like somewhat of a d*ck I merely tried stating that all my funds are exhausted at the moment and will be as at this point in time there are other critical things which require my urgent financial attention to attend to so as little as $3000 for a clutch may seem to some of you I can assure you at this very point in time for me it is not
-
Actually bought it when i was 20... in cash Cant help but agree with all your points though. Run at the creek when the new clutch goes in ?? Appreciate the compliment Well when you have a toy as expensive as this one thats spent more time during your ownership off the road then on you might begin to understand some of my frustration. And rest assured, i am far far from spoilt and made sacrifices to get to where I am right now all on my own

Cheers for the motivation to keep! I tend to make rash decisions and let go of things the second they f*ck up lol.. For the guys wondering the basis of a clutch not being a big factor - the past 3 weeks the car has had rego, insurance (im a 22 year old male..), new turbo setup, intercooler, retune, ztune kit, wheels and tyres and a few other goodies put in.. Do the math and you will see if you get much change there is from $15,000 if any.. All payed for in cash might i add. Really short funded atm and I have other life comitments that take my hard and not so hard earned money and panic buttons are going off. Realistically if im doing the clutch il be changing both master and slave cylinders and to be on the safe side have budgeted about $3000 for the whole job and thats with me dropping the box my self. Sydking you are right, Got it back Friday morning, Sunday afternoon clutch went boom lol.

Bnr32 Gtr Throw Out And Pilot Bearings
nomnomv8 replied to Turbz_13's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Where are you located ?? Pretty sure JustJap should stock these -
Hey guys, Due to a change in circumstances I'm caught in the predicament of possibly selling my beloved R34 GTR Vspec. Having bought this car as a relatively stock example I went down the route of a forged rebuild, turbos, wheels, ztune kit etc and got it to a the level in which I wanted it to be when I first purchased the vehicle. Having only had the car back on the road for a few days after getting the new turbos, z-tune/nismo kit and wheels fitted I blew the clutch on the bloody thing (supposedly had a nismo twin plate in there according to what I was told... -_-) and this is whats sparked the "call it quits" game as to date this money pit owes me $80,000+ and I’m sick of pouring more into it. I had a bit of a look at the current car market and reality is R34 GTR prices have dropped significantly and I have no idea how much Il get for it, all I know is I’m set to lose a sh*tload of money but hey that’s the game you play when you modify cars. Currently stuck in the predicament of - a. do I keep it or b. do I sell it and if I sell it where do I go from there... I was considering buying a built relatively built (somewhere around the 400kw mark will keep me happy ) R32 GTR and still walk away with ~$20,000 in the pocket after selling my R34 but not sure If I still want all the problems associated with high powered vehicles and the constant attention they seek as I’ve been down this route before and the 32 being an old car now will certainly have alot more bugs to iron out. Alternatively thinking of going back to an S chassis and getting a S15 as their dirt cheap these days and can easily find one for 15k. Nothing major as it will just be a street cruiser and skidder that I wont be scared to park in car parks and dodgy side streets (personally never taken the GTR to a shopping center in my life or parked it any where out of my sight lol). Decisions decisions. I am in no way advertising the car (I realise this may be against the rules?), merely explaining my situation and seeking advice on options other than this money pit of an R34 GTR. Who knows, after the nismo coppermix goes in I might decide to keep it as is often the case. At this point in time I’m merely seeing my options and seeking advice from my fellow SAU community. I’m in no way advertising the car (as I realise this may be against the rules?), merely explaining my situation and seeking advice on options. What alternatives would you consider after an R34 GTR keeping in mind I don’t want another money pit and want to walk away at least with 20k in pocket ?? Or should I just eat some concrete and keep the fu*king thing after the new Coppermix C-spec goes in lol ?? Cheers Few pix for making you guys read through all that crap

Change Gauges In R34 Gt-T Sedan Gauge-Cluster
nomnomv8 replied to AlexG's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Theres a few ways you can do them really. I found that 60mm Defi guages did not fit and i had to dye grind the surround and wedge the gauges in so they pop out 10mm from the holder (couldnt fit the glass back on) and they looked really good ! Cant comment on other 60mm gauges but i would go with 52mm if you want simplicity. As for wiring the circuit that powers the tripple gauge holder is actually 1 solid single piece PCB. The only thing you can tap off from the connections there from memory was your power and earth wire (not sure if i ran an external earth all together though) which will get all your gauges to light up and your volt to work. From there you need to run a sensor with a sandwich plate from your oil filter for your oil temp and take it incabin where the gauges are and the same thing for boost with a tee'd off vaccum line. If your mechanically minded and know how to use a Volt meter its a pretty easy job. If you have little experience then i advise you take it to someone or call a friend to help you out cause there will be alot of head scratching involved lol -
Good luck mate but I dont think you will get a 10 out of the -9's tbh (not on a full weight street tyre GTR anyways) but for a street/response car you definately have the right setup in mind

R32 Gtr Intercooler On R32 Gts-T ?
nomnomv8 replied to tristan_16's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
How did you go with getting an electronic boost controller engineered ? As far as I know from the various phone calls I made no one could guarantee a valid engineering certificate for this. Who did you use to get your vehicle engineered btw ?? PM me if you dont want to discuss in thread. Cheers -
Dont mean to be disrespectful but you would be absolutely silly not to take an offer that high for a stock vspec regardless of how clean it is (dont get me wrong yours is undoubtly one of the cleanest examples I've ever seen). Mine is a forged motor, low km's, nismo/ztune kitted, wheels, turbos - whole of $25,000+ spent on it after purchase and I will just scrape into the $5x,000 when I decide to sell I think. Either way Im holding onto her for as long as its feasable and practical to do so. Leaving Ferrari drivers with shock on their face when you pull away from them like a freight train is far too much fun

2JZ + T51r + RX7 = Hold on for dear life

^^ This. Local car market has slumped price wise whilst the Japanese has risen. Too many R34 GTR owners throwing dreamer amounts on what their stock car is worth. Ditch the vspec 2, buy your self a nice vspec with modifications in the 330 - 400kw bracket for 48-55k and enjoy the left over money and having a vehicle that is actually fun. Stock powered GTR's are rather boring

R32 Gtr Intercooler On R32 Gts-T ?
nomnomv8 replied to tristan_16's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I agree with this and it is an uphill sh*t fight, it helps to know people in the right places that can make things "easier" though Fully legal? Unless your making that power on a standard computer and standard boost pressure without a boost controller or adjustable tee of some sort then technically no it's not. I am a big advocate of trying to keep things as legal and standard looking as possible but in this day and age where you can get defected for no water in the washer bottle it's a battle you won't win -
R32 Gtr Intercooler On R32 Gts-T ?
nomnomv8 replied to tristan_16's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just do it mate, engineered or not if their out to get you they will get you. And screw this whole "void insurance" business, I can bet my bottom dollar there isnt a car on this forum with over 260kw that is 100% legal in every sense. Insurance will not refuse to pay you because you because of a certain modification unless it contributed to the accident and even then you have to be at fault for this to occur. Just be sensible about it and you will be ok -

R34 Gtr V-Spec, Big Power! Brand New Build!
nomnomv8 replied to SHOWOFFR32's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Was following your build thread on this, dont sell up just yet mate shes too gorgous and will be an absolute weapon !! Imo get her tuned and take her for a drive on 20+ psi, surely you will change your mind -
^^ This. Whats your budget first and foremost? A 10.9 is achievable rather easy and reliably on a forged 2.6. For street use and drags where your going to be launching off the mark I cant see the need to spent the extra $$$'s for a stroker kit, yes it makes a difference but then you would be asking youself the question why not go rb30 ? Again this depends on factors like the current condition of your crank etc. If its in good nick I'd just be getting the crank linished, fit a collar onto it, sort oil issues out by getting a good pump, sump baffles and restrictors, forged pistons, rods and whack a nice big precision turbo on it to get you 400kw+ and the 10 second pass your looking at.
