I cant believe this thread is still goin... (ill continue it too) It is proven that by raising the bonnet (as mentioned previously) it removes hot air from under the bonnet, I had this simple modification prior to me getting my vented bonnet, and every single time the outside temps dropped, or it was raining, my windscreen would fog up - from the outside (so it wasnt me nor the passangers foggin it up from the inside). that was the only draw back to it!!! p.s - otherwise i like the look Peter

if you wanna go c/f, there is also a silver coloured carbon which would look pretty cool on a black car. just a suggestion, g/l (personally id go c/f) Peter

if i am understanding the question correctly (which i might not be) but ur talking about the bonnet sitting up 20 or so millimetres above the front guards, this is done to increase the quantity of hot air which can be released from within the engine bay. it is done with a couple of spacers placed between the bonnet and the bolts on the hinges.... costs about $3 for a pack of spacers, and done in a matter of a few minutes. I had it for a little while, till i bought a vented bonnet. hope that helps, Peter

Hi guys, I have found a hks 2535 turbo, and am contemplating putting it on my rb20! Can ppl tell me their thoughts or experiences breifly with this turbo-engine combination. I have looked through the forced induction area on here, but am wanting to here how others have gone with this pairing!! initial question - is it not too big? Im in the process of starting a engine swap and this thread is inspiring me to forget the 25, and go with a 30 setup, in my r32!! Im guessing the potential of the 30 is significantly higher than the 25, and if im there i may as well go all out, like mentioned earlier, im replacing the original motor, might as well have the potential there for future perfomance gains. thanx guys...for making me wanna spend more money...lol great thread, ill be keepin an eye on this one. i have a wide mouth vertex front on my line (or that is what i got told it is) I love it, i wanted an aftermarket one after i got my fmic put on as the old one was covering over 1/2 the cooler pic attached, Gd luck

use the occasion to buy a c/f bonnet, aftermarket front bar - something with a wide mouth opening (for more exposure to the fmic) could be a vertex wide mouth, or trust items or copies off, new fmic (if u dont already have one) upgraded N1 headlights....depending on how extensice the damage, wider front fender-guards/gtr guards...etc....if ya doin all that, u can also create a new paint scheme!!! surely work wheels would clear gts-t calipers!!!! they are an awesome wheel, placed at the higher end of the wheel market spectrum - I couldnt imagine VOLK designing a wheel that woulnd clear gtr calipers, let alone gtst ones I could be wrong, but regardless the wheels are hot!! gl

put a gtr grill on!!! Either that or make a custom one up....i like the look of gtr grills personally. there is not that many other avenues to try if ya dont wanna have the big whole (i know I didnt) Gd luck Peter
