  1. For 300rwkw you can't go wrong with the standard 32gtr air box.
  2. Much easier to courier an RB29 to Sydney
  3. Andrew Yep heaps better than the single that's for sure. Mechanically even you say..hmm there might still be a thing or two you've got up on me still but they're not biggies and I'll try to get em too in the not to distant future *cough* transfer case. But looking forward to the head to head and following you around PI. Tis around tree fiddy
  4. Update: 1:37.06 for Winton Only change to previous setup is 2860-5's instead of single T04z.
  5. Matt Good stuff
  6. Great weather and the car didn't break so all in all a sucessfull day. Jack thanks for the advice over the phone to help me improve my times. The Stig is always there is spirit It was my second outing with the first one lasting 7 laps and a broken engine a few years ago. She was getting a bit hot though so i could only get in 3 laps before i had to back off and come into the pits. There's definitely more in the car I just need to get more track time under my belt. That's a real shame re the 33 as it was a nice looking neat car too. I left early and knew nothing of it. Here's hoping the repair bill ain't that bad.
  7. FYI If it's a r32 steering wheel you want retrimmed and you want it to look as close to stock as possible then Gary will tell u to try and find a good 2nd hander. That's what he told me and that's what i did. If u don't mind it looking like it's been retrimmed then he does a top job (have seen his work)
  8. Great pics Joel
  9. GTR....it's in the blood. You can't deny it ps SS, noice
  10. Item: 2 x RB20DET afm's 80mm (sometimes mistaken for RB25DET afm's) Age: Not sure, got them with the car Condition: Good Price: $100 each Location: Melbourne Contact: pm Comments: No longer needed, upgraded to nismo's.
  11. Just to clarify He is ONE of the official distributors and that doesn't mean he has the ability to sell them any cheaper than any other tyre outlet. All it means is that he gets the shipment before others do and he can attend and sell these tyres at track days.
  12. Ant From memory that day at Calder when Aaron got a puncture I think he got hold of a puncture repair kit from crazy Frank. Basically drilled the hole out on the tyre a little bigger and bunged in a piece of rubber from the repair kit. Any tyre store should be able to fix it and I'd say it would be safe. If you're on the west side of town I'd get the boys from Bridgestone Maribyrnong where a fair few of us buy our RE55's from to check it, otherwise if it's out of your way a normal tyre outlet will suffice. cheers Archie
  13. Blue GTR If your intended purpose for the car is circuit and you could only choose from 2530's or a T78 then definitely go the 2530's. Even if the 2530's make 20-30rwkw less at the same boost level as a T78, because they are more responsive I'd say the car would still be quicker around a circuit. I had a T78 on my gtr and the power delivery was like a light switch. Power hit hard from 4800-5000rpm which was way too late. Swapped to a TO4z and it was more responsive down low with more power up high.
  14. Happy B'day bloke Oh and HOW you be hurting today...
  15. Word is that there is imported R35 GTR entered in 2008 Targa Tas next April. So hopefully you'll be seeing one in Oz in less than 12 months time. edit: ok just saw this already mentioned in another thread....d'uh I had read it in GoAuto...
  16. benm pm sent Yes i do, i need to scan it. femno I am after more response for circuit work. My other option is a go for a smaller single as well. I don't drive the car much so that's not an issue for me.
  17. Roy I gotsta do what a gotsta do I priced to selll it. RB30DETT pm replied ardie No probs.

  19. Assuming that the RWC is still valid (i think they are valid for 30 days but could be wrong) then take it together with the defect notice to whoever issued you the RWC. They need to determine if the items listed on the defect notice were covered by the original RWC and were not overlooked. If they were overlooked then those items need to be fixed, if the RWC issuer feels that they were covered then you can go to Vic Roads and show them your RWC. Note: you are doing the issuer of the RWC a favour by doing this b/c if you went to Vic Roads and just showed them the RWC and the items listed on the defect notice were in fact overlooked on the RWC, then the mechanic/workshop could be investigated (esp if there have been other instances like this by this workshop) and could potentially lose their RWC licence. So it is in the best interest of the RWC workshop to fix any items at little or no expense to you given that they overlooked this in the first place and have inconvenienced you now and b/c you are doing them a favour by not going straight to Vic Roads.
  20. Now i know why so many people rate PI. It's an awesome track. ditto. I don't know if i went any quicker, but the only time i got was from one session where I had the lap timer in the car and it showed 1:56.8. That lap felt quick but i know I'm not going hard enough through hayshed and into lukey heights so there's a little more there but sheeesh another 6 seconds?!! I think i need another turbo
  21. Have been notified that I'm in too. Tis all good.
  22. Sif you need more power!!
