  1. Thanks Bec I emailed Theresa so I'll wait to see if i hear from her. Andrew LOL hardly. I saw your car last weekend and I know she's sorted now so if anyones going to be sitting behind it'll be me Still, I would love to follow you around to see the differences between our cars.
  2. Bris No to worry, you've done your fair share of track days this year so now it's my turn to fly the silver 32 flag
  3. No email either. I sent a bank cheque so i wouldn't know if that went through either. Andrew, was there a contact number on the confirmation email you received?
  4. That is friggen fantastic! Congratulations fellas. A memory to savour for sure
  5. They work fine on a 617rwkw GTR if that helps. What is your intended max power output?
  6. Happiest of b'days to you Al. Enjoy the weekend and everything that is planned and not planned to happen
  7. Congrats to all on some great times. Temps weren't ideal but some decent times were still had. As usual, top vid Jack I was working so i wasn't even able to come down
  8. Congrats Snowy and Tara
  9. What's your intended purpose for the car? ie strip / circuit / just a quick street car Will the RB26 be in a manual or auto car equipped car? TO4z with a 0.84 will do 400rwkw at a lower boost level than a 3540 with a 0.84 however I'd guess would reach full boost approx 600-800rpm later. My TO4z reaches full boost around 4600-4800 rpm in thrid.
  10. Congrats Anth!
  11. Very noice indeed

    Avgas

Jetdat If benno has set your tune with V power racing then don't touch it and race it with that fuel in the tank. It will be fine. I ran my car around sandown with his tune on vpower racing and the knock levels were fine all day. Your engine has been tuned with the fuel characteristics of v power racing, don't go putting a higher octane rating fuel (even if it is unleaded) as this fuel will exhibit different burn characteristics etc
  16. Yeah but you were still quicker Yes he does, however the same gap was maintained from the point that we had both gone round the corner and are on the gas all the way to the end of the straight.
  17. I remember as we came out of turn 4 and onto the back straight and you were in front of me, I wasn't able to reel you in but you weren't able to pull away either. So I'd say we're line ball on power but you have me everywhere else I can see you in a 32.......and i can see myself in a 34....wanna swap?
  18. LOL! It's been detuned for track. At that power level all that would happen is that it'll be even more of a handful on cnr exit (b/c of the sudden power deliver of a big single) and she'll get hot (need a vented bonnet to keep temps good).

  20. Yeah, looking back now it was great fun. I particularly enjoyed when you went past me at turn 1 and so getting the opportunity to follow you for as long as I could in an effort to help me get a better idea of what speeds you do (esp through the back section). I can tell you that was the fastest I had taken that back section all day! Then in trying to stay with you at the left hander at dandenong put down the power too early and that's where you would have been looking at a crossed up car in your rear vision mirror and laughing. I don't have good memories of Winton *cough* spun big end bearing *cough* and the tightness of the track makes my lag problem even more pronounced dammit!! But i agree it is a fun track.

  22. Thanks Andrew. Congrats on your PB too. 22's ain't hanging around and now that I know what it takes to get there I have great respect for you guys doing those times (or anyone in the 1.2X's for that matter, not to mention the crazy guys doing sub 1.20's!!) lol @ Ash Which NOS installer do you guys recommend?? I second that. A man doing those times on street tyres with that car is a great steerer. Well done.
  23. Great day for racing. Sandown can be a daunting track for a first timer. Spoke to a lot of people, built up the confidence with every session and followed a few others around to get an idea and this all helped greatly. Thanks to those who offered their advice, I appreciate it. Was really enjoying it by the end of the day. ps what's up with the snowsmobile?
  24. It depends on what exact model of Hoosier he is using because the A3S05/R3S05 Hoosiers have a UTQG of 40 and they look mighty similar to his and the one in your pic for that matter. http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_2912/article.html Also, if they were considered to be as sticky as a slick wouldn't CAMS require the cars fitted with these to have cages fitted?
